Looks: Alair wears a Red Scarf and a navy-blue musketeer-style hat with a white sash and Genius Feather, and he's frequently seen carrying a rose or having it pinned in his Scarf.

Backstory: Alair used to travel with a Coordinator named Elise, but she released him when she found out her crush was allergic to feline Pokémon. Alair was saddened by his release, but he understands that she did it for love.

Eventually, he met Berry in Kalos (and later Sparkleflash), and they started living together and working at Cafémon (with Alair as a waiter). Later down the line, Alair would end up meeting Savvy (Gabby's Meowstic), and it wouldn't take long for the two of them to hit it off, which would lead to Gabby adding Alair to her team.

Personality and Characteristics: Contrary to his kind's typical stoicism, Alair is bold, exuberant, and extremely amiable. Like other male Meowstic, however, he tends to be rather defensive (in Battle).

Alair's also quite a charming romantic, as any Pokémon who's a target of his flirting will quickly be left swooning. When he does the same with humans, however, they just consider it adorable.
