Chapter 30

Denise (P.O.V)
I wake up in the hospital bed noticing that my food was on the side table next to a sleeping Luke in the chair next to my bed.
Today is the day I get to go home.
As I was sitting in bed staring off into space , I heard a knock on the door.
Moments later my mother walked through the door.
"Hi honey! Oh my gosh how are you??! Are you okay? Does anything hurt?" She said to me.
"Mom! Haha im fine , I just kinda was in a bad place and I took it too far and well... Now I'm fine. My wrists hurts but I'm okay." I said.
"Alright honey... As long as your okay now ... Right? Your okay now?" She asked looking into my sad eyes.
"Yeah... I'm fine.. " I said.
"Okay! Well I'm going to go find your doctor and check you out of the hospital so you can go home." She said.
"Okay" I said.
She kissed my forehead and walked out of the room.

I stood there in bed starring at my scars.
Thinking.
What if I would have just died there in the school bathroom?
What would have happened to the world around me?
Would anyone miss me?
I don't think so.

Maybe everyone else would be happier if I was out of the picture.

The last time I cut was before my brother came back home.

I remember shutting everyone out and feeling like shît.

I always said or did something wrong.

I had No self confidence what so ever.

I was a ticking time bomb. Ready to explode.

I was put back to reality when I felt someone's hand grab mine.
Luke.
"Hey what's wrong?" He asked.
I guess I hadn't noticed but there were tears streaming down my face.
"Just thinking about stuff." I said.
I tried my hardest to not sound too sad.
"Hey... Everything is going to be fine okay? Listen. No matter what happens don't scare me like that again okay? I love you and I would never want to hurt you." He said.
He got up from the chair and planted a small gentle kiss on my cheek.
" I promise" I said.
As much as I wanted to keep this promise. I'm not sure that something 10 times worse would happen and I might end up back here again.
But for now I have to make sure I'm fine.

Luke (P.O.V)
As I told Denise to promise me she wouldn't scare me again I noticed her thinking about it.

I know she's been through a lot and I know it must have broke her heart to see Aleisha kiss me.

But if the situation was the other way around and I saw her Ex kiss her I would be just as heartbroken.

I got up from the chair and kissed her gently on the cheek.
She spoke "I promise"
I hope she keeps this promise.

I got up from the chair and walked out of the room.

I walked over to the waiting room and Found Ashton.
"Hey ash " I said sitting next to him.
"Hey Luke" he said.
"Where's Lissette?" I asked.
" She's at Her house since her mom wanted her to go home to visit her brother in College " he said .
"Oh that's nice ... Ha I didn't know she had a brother in college." I said.
"Yeah ... I miss her already" he said.
"It's alright ... She'll be back later today " I said.
"I know." Ash said.
"Alright well I'm gonna go find Cal " I said getting up.
"Yeah... Ima head home and Call Liss" he said.
"Okay" I said and walked off to the hospital cafeteria.

Ashton (P.O.V)
I left to the hospital and headed home. As I walked into my house I remembered my family decided to go to the beach today without me.
I walked over to the kitchen and poured my self a glass of water.
I then walked over to the living room and sat on the couch.

Maybe I'll drop by the college and Surprise Lissette and her family.
Yeah I think I'll do that.

I walked out of my house and got into my car.
