Chapter Nineteen

The heavy rain and the bumper to bumper traffic wouldn't made her day wretched. Hence, she felt wonderful today. Why? Because, for whole a great week she was free from Lucas  Montero's childish games. While he was away, she need to think of  the best plan to counter attack Lucas evil wrath before he comes back. She knew Lucas, whatever he wanted he would definitely have it. And she didn't like it, to fell in his trap again.

A week of being Lucas away, it became her advantage.  First, she can freely breathed from his controlling attitude problem. Second, he was not here to messed up her day. Finally he was not here  to do stupid things just to bully her. She wished, Lucas Montero would never came back so she could live a happily ever after.

"Sis! Come hurry!"  Liza shouted outside her office.

 "What?" she hurriedly went out.

"Come, hurry!" Liza grabbed her right hand and she slightly pushed her forward in front of her shop. "Look!" Liza pointed her finger outside. "Look! they're setting a big screen for the advertisement in front of our shop." she said.

"Well, it's the right place to put an advertisment." she said while still glaring at the men who were busy doing their task.

"But look, the screen is too big for the advertisement, it's almost cover our signage." Liza said.

"What we can do? They are very well capable to pay a big amount for that huge advertisement" she the explained. "See, how fast they set it up for just half in hour. That's the power of money, Sis."

"Yes, you're right. I guess the advertisement they're going to put in there is a famous brand." Liza nodded and agreed to her sister.

"Let's go back to work." she patted her sister shoulder and turned to get back in her office.

 "Athe wait! Look!" Liza shouted, she seem so frantic.

"What?" she asked.

"Lucas, he is on that big screen." Liza grabbed her hand and they went out of her shop.

In a bit, more people started to gathered in front of the huge wide screen. Seems they were already knew what was going on. They were expecting on something, and they were so excited.

At the wide screen, you can see a set of different media people in the different network. Lucas sat comfortably in front of them.

"Good Day Everyone! My name is Claire, the secretary and Press Relation Officer of WorldCon." she smiled timidly. "Thank you for coming today. Maybe most of you or should I say, everyone of us  wonder why Mr. Montero have this sudden press conference. So, here's Mr. Montero to fill in to our questions." she smiled to Lucas "Sir." Claire nodded to Lucas, and gave him a sign to start the press conference.

Lucas Montero, walked confidently to the center of the make up podium.

"Good Afternoon everyone! Thank you for coming today. Maybe, you wonder for this sudden press conference. Well the truth, I need a little favor from all of you. Don't worry it's not about money or a business matter." he joked and continued. "Today, I don't wanna talk about a business. This sudden conference is all about me and to the person who were very close to my heart. That's why I am here  so I can give a proper detail on this matter. Because I feel a little uncomfortable if some of you keep stalking on me." he laughed and pointed his finger to some press people who were seated and listening carefully to him. "So now, I am here, in front of you to give a very important pieces of my personal affair that you can legally  report or write in your news article. Some of you here, made my life a business matter, especially my personal life slash love affair. Well I purely understood, that you were just doing your job. So this time I wouldn't give you a hard time to get an interviewed. Hence, I will share the status of my personal affair. I'll give you a real news that you could write. Okey?" he paused and sighed. "Ten  years ago," he nodded and looked at the camera. "I meet this person, a very beautiful young lady. The first time I looked into her eyes, I fell in love with her instantly. In short, we fell in love for about three years. But seven years ago, something happened. I've thought she cheated on me and been unfaithful to me. So, I run away and left her instantly. For the past seven years of my life I hold rage on her. I hated her for the whole past years. But surprisingly, two months ago with the helped of my family I discovered that it was all  wrong I've thought about her. I hurt her badly. I feel very guilty for hating her, I feel very bad for all what I've done to her. Left her on the time she needed me the most. Athena Sandoval, I deeply apologize for mistrusting you. I deeply apologize for leaving you, for raising our daughter alone. To my daughter Quien, I am so sorry for our lost time. If I knew that you're perfectly exist in this world, I  would definitely welcome you on that day that you were born. Daddy loves you. From now on, I will be a good father to you. Again, I am so sorry Athe. I am so sorry. I know you don't like my way of  apologizing publicly and asking your forgiveness in front of them. But this is the only way I knew to showed how sincere I am in seeking your forgiveness. Athena Sandoval, for all my life you're the only one I love. I love you very much. I know you still have a feeling for me." he winked at the camera. "A valid proof on what was happened to us the other night," he smiled victoriously. "So, to any man out there that would try to crossed my way. Let me warn you,  she is mine so back off instantly." he clapped his both hand. "Athena Sandoval you destine to be mine so stop hating me. Okey? I swear  in my life, this time I will make all things right. I will make it up to you for my whole life.  So wait for me, I will definitely melt your heart again." he proudly said while looking at the camera."I know your watching right now. I love  you with all my heart Cheeky Pie! Please forgive me. And, to all of you, I would like you to meet my beautiful Athena Sandoval, the love of my life and my beautiful daughter Quien." he snapped his finger and in a mere second, a one huge wide screen emerged in front of them flashing the different photos of Athena, a photos of her with Lucas seven years ago, a photo of Lucas and Quien at Montero's mansion, a photos of them while they having dinner at the beach and a different selfie shots of sleeping Athena  while he kissed her. The crowd started cheering while watching at the photos. "Press people, thank you for lending your precious time. In the future, please no false gossips about my personal affair okey? So stop getting me involve in a different  blind item. Again, thank you for coming here today. My staff prepared a nice meal to all of you, so please enjoy. Again, thank you and have a nice day." he smiled and proudly stood on his seat and left the room while a big crowd of press people still shouting for more questions.
