Jo had driven out to Los Angeles to see Taylor as soon as the blonde had told her she was going for an event. It was only about four hours, and so she rolled down the windows and did it in one sitting except for a quick stop for gas.

It was last minute for them both, but Taylor had gotten an invite to Drake's party and would have invited Jo as a plus one but closets and secrets prevented such things from happening. So Jo was content coming for the night and driving back the next day when Taylor went, telling Bill and Charlie she had a meeting.

They had almost mastered this long distance thing in the month they'd been together. Taylor however, on their one month anniversary, did have flowers delivered anonymously to Jo's house with a little note that said 'Do you remember the 28th* night of September? - T' Because they'd sung that while cooking the morning afterwards and Jo teased that the lyrics were almost close enough that they could switch the one to an eight and keep it the same.

"Would you hold still?" Jo laughed as Taylor wiggled under the cold cloth held to her back, "I promise it'll look good with that shirt. Trust the process."

"You're putting a tattoo on me, Josephine," Taylor sighed, pouting in the mirror. Jo shook her head and pressed a kiss to the bare shoulder blade in front of her.

"It's a temporary tattoo, Taylor Alison. It will wash off this week," she returned the sass and watched Taylor's lips turn upwards in response, amused by her tone.

"You're lucky you're cute, using my middle name," Taylor quipped. She felt Jo remove the washcloth from her back and peel the paper off slowly.

The brunette stepped back and admired it, knowing Taylor hated the wait to know if it worked well or not. They'd already gone through the process with the one on her arm, and so this time she was having fun.

"I think it's still missing something," Jo hummed, stepping closer to Taylor once again and turning her around, "You have something on your lips."

"I just looked in t—" the older woman was quickly cut off by Jo's gentle kiss. She dropped her guard and closed her eyes, savouring the taste and way their lips fit together.

"Got it?" Jo smiled after she pulled away. Taylor rolled her eyes and tried to look in the mirror at the tattoo.

"You're such a weirdo, babe," Taylor finally laughed, "Oh it does look good."

"I know it does, everything looks good on you," Jo sat on the countertop next to the sink Taylor was standing over and studied her features for a moment.

"Flirt."

"Hey, what do you think about getting one that says Starbucks Lovers like right here, on your collarbone?" Jo reached forward and traced along Taylor's neckline only to have her hand swatted away quick.

"The line is ex-lovers," Taylor grumbled, looking at the ceiling in frustration. Jo reached forward and wrapped her arms around the blonde, squeezing her tight from her backside.

"I'm joking, sweetheart," she said calmly, "Would you like me to go and get you some wine? You're stressed."

Taylor knew that Jo was trying to cheer her up. It had been a hard week, with everything still piling on from the media and truthfully Taylor had expressed that she wanted to leave and never come back to music a few hours beforehand. While Jo knew she didn't mean it, she felt like it was her duty to try and take some weight off Taylor's shoulders.

"I think I'm going to have a bath, if that's okay?" Taylor bit her lip, staring at the claw foot tub on the other side of the room.

"Yeah," Jo answered without thought.
