y/n grabbed the cover then they laid down on the air mattress not really talking so y/n pulled out her phone going to netflix and turning over watching f is for family while kobe turned the other way closing his eyes to go to sleep

Kobe: it's quiet
Y: yea
Kobe: this conversation just started and it's already dry
Y: well i mean there's not much to talk about
Kobe: yes there is
Y: like what
Kobe: like how your day been like my new car-
Y: that you weren't supposed to buy
Kobe: hey i don't tell you how to spend your money
Y: and i'm not telling you i'm just saying
Kobe: and i'm just saying goodnight

kobe stopped talking and soon he fell asleep while  y/n turned off her phone getting up and walking outside sitting down and looking at the stars sighing and pulling her knees up then leaning on them while wrapping her arms around

Dayshawn: are you sad
Y: not even gonna ask how you got in our backyard
Dayshawn: good so what's wrong
Y: none
Dayshawn: arguing with kobe
Y: no i just i don't know it was my idea to leave north carolina early but now that i'm here i feel homesick
Dayshawn: but north carolina had nothing left for you
Y: i know and i should be glad we left but i don't i feel sad like a piece of me was ripped away
Dayshawn: i'm sure it's the memories north carolina is where we grew up it's the place all of our favorite and worse memories happened when you have so many different memories in one place then it's hard to let it go but los angeles is gonna give us new memories then one day when we move from here it'll feel the same and once again we'll be homesick but it was time like our mothers say to quote on quote leave the nest
Y: yea you're right i just need to get used to it
Dayshawn: perfect come on we'll go in my car
Y: how-
Dayshawn: i bought one
Y: wow you're just like kobe

dayshawn shook his head then he got up helping y/n up and they walked out the backyard gate and got in his car driving away they went to the LA sunset strip and got out walking around

Dayshawn: ok so ice cream then sushi or sushi walk around for a little then ice cream
Y: sushi walk around then ice cream
Dayshawn: alright you wanna go to katana LA
Y: sure

they kept walking until they made it then they waited to be seated once they sat down the grabbed the menus looking through by the time they decided what to get the waitress came back with their drinks so they told her their order and she took it down before walking off

Y: so we know why i was out but why were you
Dayshawn: makayla
Y: what happened
Dayshawn: so i met her family i proposed and now she wants another baby
Y: but dayshawn jr was born six or seven months ago
Dayshawn: exactly the doctor even said it's best to wait at least nine months before another one but makayla is constantly trying to have another one and to be honest i don't even want another kid
Y: have you told her
Dayshawn: no because i don't want her to go out and find someone to do it for her
Y: if she does then she wasn't right for you in the first place
Dayshawn: but i love that girl y/n
Y: shit i'm sure you do but if she even has a thought about cheating on you or if you think she would then that's something you gotta let go of
Dayshawn: you're right which sucks if kobe cheated what would you do
Y: like if he had sex with someone else
Dayshawn: duh y/n
Y: i don't know i guess i'd leave him what else would i do stay and think he'll change just for him to do it again
Dayshawn: ok so what if you had a kid with him
Y: i guess i'd try and like still live with him or whatever so our kid could grow up in a positive household and we'd handle the divorce or break up in private
Dayshawn: alright i know what i'm gonna do
Y: before you do anything this is not me telling you to leave her if you don't even kn-
Dayshawn: she cheated she just doesn't know i know
Y: oh wow i'm sorry
Dayshawn: no it's ok i was hurt at first but i'm fine
Y: that same pain is gonna come back when you have to cut it off
Dayshawn: yea...i know
Y: i'm here for you whenever you need me dayshawn
Dayshawn: thank you

once their food came they ate then left out walking around for a few minutes then getting ice cream and driving around LA having late night deep conversations when they made it back to her house they parked the car in the driveway and just sat there 

Y: he's gonna change i feel it and i'm not ready
Dayshawn: what makes you think that
Y: the way he talks to me now is different he gets like annoyed over some of the things i say i feel like it's best if i just agree with everything he says if i say one thing he doesn't agree with he just zones me out
Dayshawn: i'm sure it's just the pressure of moving away from home he's tryna readjust and he's just overthinking everything
Y: i don't know how he's doing everything his way i decorate the living room and kitchen he wants do everything else this doesn't even feel like our house it feels like his and i'm just a guest in it
Dayshawn: communicate with him
Y: yea communicate and get shut down
Dayshawn: if he shuts you down write him a letter it sounds crazy but if you do it he'll listen
