3 months passed as well as holidays like halloween and thanksgiving it was a few days before christmas and cohen was at ayas house while y/n was at kobes house in the living room with his mom and kiya putting ornaments on the tree and hanging lights on the house while kobe was in the kitchen being forced to help his grandparents bake while his dad sat on the couch playing christmas music for everyone to listen to they were all having a good time then kobe called y/n in the kitchen so she stepped down from the ladder she was on and walked over to him
Kobe: stay with me in here i'm bored Y: no i wanna hang lights Kobe: and i'm gonna hang myself from boredom Y: well i'll make sure you have a christmas themed funeral Kobe: baby come on Y: why don't you just come in the living room dummy Kobe: because i gotta put icing on the cakes when they cool down Y: they're already cool so come on do it now Kobe: what are you talking about they're still hot Y: oh we're talking about the actual cakes oops
kobe looked at y/n smiling while she walked off going back into the living room
Kiya: so y/n will you be here christmas day Y: of course after i do something with cohen Kiya: ahiella is supposed to be coming too Y: good i haven't seen her in months Kiya: i know me either Vanessa: so how's your first christmas without your parents Y: it feels fine actually i thought it would be hard but it's easy for me Vanessa: that's good now you and kobe didn't secretly break up or anything like that Y: no we didn't break up Vanessa: i'm just making sure Kobe: i don't have a reason to break up with her Vanessa: nothing wrong with making sure Kobe: aye can i borrow y/n real quick Vanessa: for what Kobe: wait why am i asking she's my girlfriend
kobe walked to y/n grabbing her hand and taking her upstairs and to his room opening his drawer and pulling something out then he handed it to her so she looked down seeing a long black box with a bow on top
Y: but it's not christmas yet Kobe: i know but i wanted you to have this now Y: so i can open it Kobe: i would hope so
y/n took the bow off then opened the box seeing a beautiful butterfly necklace filled with diamonds
Y: is this real Kobe: as real as it gets Y: how much was this Kobe: it was actually pretty cheap Y: oh ok how cheap Kobe: it was two thousand one hundred dollars Y: you said cheap that's not cheap kobe Kobe: what it's close enough and plus you do a lot for me this is literally the least i could do Y: it's the most you could do but i love it thank you Kobe: i chose the butterfly because they resemble new beginnings and if you remember that sunset we went to i said you gave me a new beginning but that's if you remember Y: you know damn well i remember Kobe: you could've forgot Y: but i didn't now help me put this on
kobe grabbed the box and took the necklace out while y/n lifted her hair then he unclipped it placing it around her neck and clipping it in the back while she put her hair back down and stood up looking in the mirror while kobe stood behind her wrapping his arms around the front of her neck
Y: wow i love this Kobe: hard to pick out because you know you're a little picky Y: it came from you i would've loved it either way Kobe: so what if i gave you a bottle of fruit punch Y: i still would've loved it Kobe: damn imma keep that noted that's gonna save me some money
y/n laughed making kobe smile then she turned around looking up at him
Y: has anyone told you that you're annoying Kobe: i know a girl who reminds me every now and then but i love her so she'll be alright Y: i'm sure she loves you too Kobe: good because i need to break up with my girl and go tell her
y/n laughed a little and pushed kobe back and was about to walk out until he grabbed her waist turning her around
Kobe: where you going you gotta tell her with me ok ok i'm kidding Y: you are such a pain Kobe: you love it though Y: sadly
kobe laughed then kissed y/n over and over again making her smile after a while they heard vanessa yell from downstairs so they jogged down there seeing everyone was looking out the window so they looked out as well seeing snow covering the ground that's when kobe pulled out his phone and a few minutes passed then y/n got a notification so she pulled hers out as well
