afterwards they were both laying on their backs looking up at the ceiling until y/n turned over looking at kobe and he turned his head looking back at her then she grabbed his hand and started messing with his fingers

Y: do you remember the day we officially met
Kobe: yea i remember
Y: freshman year before we hated each other i was walking to class and i saw you in the hallway you had your hood on over your head and your strings were pulled so tight you could only see your eyes
Kobe: and you came up to me and untied my strings and when i looked down at the ground you grabbed my chin and made me look back up and you said-
Y: no ones perfect we all have our flaws so why hide them i still think you're amazing and so should you
Kobe: that was the day i fell for you because you were the first one to come up and talk to me even after seeing how bad my acne was you were the first one to show you cared
Y: what i would do to go back to those days
Kobe: sometimes i think about how it would be if i did go back then i think of all the memories me and you made and i wouldn't give those up for any day back in time
Y: do you think we'll last
Kobe: of course i do
Y: why
Kobe: why...well because you're the first girl i've felt this way about i'm the type that says something to a girl just to see how far it gets me but with you it's different i feel like i could tell you anything because i trust you i know a few months back i didn't tell you i smoked because i did think you'd judge me and i didn't want you to leave so i kept it a secret so you wouldn't think less of me but once you found out and didn't pester me about it or act distant because of it or just try and stop me every time i did i realized that you were perfect for me and i was going to do everything in my power to make us work and i still am because i realized you make me a better person how i am you don't try to change me and that's what i love most about you i also love the fact that you can make anyone feel at home around you kiya loves you and she hates nearly everybody i'm still sure she hates me sometimes my mom has opened up to you in ways she hasn't even to her own friends my dad is barely around but when he comes around he's always asking where you are and how you're doing and my grandparents can go on and on about you all day you're everything i need in a person and when you find someone like that you don't just let them go

y/n didn't say anything she just got on top of kobe hugging him putting her head on the crook of his neck while he wrapped his arms around her back rubbing it

Y: that was the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me made me feel needed
Kobe: i'll always need you
Y: i love you
Kobe: i love you more

y/n lifted her head kissing kobe over and over again making him smile then once they heard the door beginning to open they moved apart and put the cover up to their necks faking like they're asleep

Kiya: mom they're sleep
Vanessa: well just don't forget when they wake up to tell them we got to go christmas shopping before the mall closes
Kiya: ok

kiya closed the door then walked off while kobe and y/n opened their eyes quietly laughing and looking at each other

Kobe: i need to do some shopping but i lowkey don't want to go
Y: me either but it's the least we could do we haven't done anything with them in a while so come on
Kobe: i'm only going just because you want to
Y: don't lie you want to go as well
Kobe: never admitting that now let's get ready

y/n shook her head smiling then wrapped herself in the cover getting off the bed and getting new clothes to change into she put on a black sweater with blue skinny jeans and her black boots then once kobe finished getting dressed they walked downstairs

Kiya: ok fashionable everywhere you go
Y: this sweater is old as hell
Vanessa: mhm
Y: oh my bad
Kobe: see you're fitting in perfectly

everyone laughed then they walked out the house getting into vanessas car and going to the mall when they made it they all walked in going to stores and looking at things that could possibly be gifts after a while y/n grabbed kiyas hand and snuck away from kobe and vanessa going into a different store

Y: you think he'd like this
Kiya: who kobe
Y: yea kiya
Kiya: that boy will like anything that comes from you
Y: i know but i don't want him to only like it because it came from me i want him to like it because it's something he actually wants
Kiya: yes y/n he'll like it
Y: don't lie to me
Kiya: i'm not i'm serious
Y: ok i'm gonna get these two
Kiya: he'll love them i'm sure
Y: ok now what about this i didn't want to go all the way out but i think they're cute and it's something for the both of us
Kiya: now that's adorable
Y: ok so i'll get these then i can do the rest when i'm alone
Kiya: when we're alone

y/n let out a small laugh then walked to the register paying and talking to kiya while they bagged them once they finished they walked out going back to vanessa and kobe

Kobe: and where did you wonder off to
Y: never land
