"Hey, cashier guy, is laser tag free?" Alex yelled, waving her arm in the air.

"First game is!" He shouted back, flicking a thumbs up. "You guys gonna play?"

"Yeah, sure."

"Alrighty then! Follow me and I'll get the gear set up."

Terrence led us into a dark room lit with dimmed and flashing colored lights. Vests were lined on racks on either side of the room, emitting a gentle glow as he turned them on.

"What game mode?" He asked, punching in our information on the screen placed behind the counter.

"Can I get Skie since I only have one arm?" I asked, picking the plastic gun up from the holster attached to the vest.

"So 2v1?"

"Yes please."

"What team color?"

"Red I guess."

"W-wait..!" Alex stuttered. "What if she's like amazing at laser tag and I have a disadvantage?!"

"I've never played this in my life." Skie sighed. "I doubt I'll even be able to shoot you."

"It's not that hard." Terrence blurted, smiling sheepishly. "Even if your aim is horrible, there's a burst fire option that you can use every few minutes."

"I still say it's unfair."

"I think you'll survive. It's two partially disabled midgets versus a decently skilled giant. Plus, since you're tall, you can look over the walls."

"They aren't really midgets though."

"The blonde one is."

"H-hey!"
