In Those Moments

You're Christians, aren't you? Some of you have been since birth, some realized that Jesus was the way and have given your lives to Him. That's really good. I really hope God gives you the strength to keep believing in Him.

But you know something? Being Christian isn't just about following His commandments and living a righteous life. Of course these things are important too, don't get me wrong, but I think being Christian is about being strong even in the darkest of times.

Things will get hard. Nobody said life would be easy, but challenges are there for a reason. You can get through them because the bible says;

"Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid nor be dismayed. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go," - ( Jos 1:9 )

Challenges come to strengthen us. God lets us make mistakes sometimes so that we can learn from them and grow from the experience. Just like a good father, He gives us room to learn even though it might seem like He's abandoning us. He is not the author of calamity, but a strong shelter in the storm.

God will never give you something that you can't handle. And if it seems like things are getting too hard for you, just remember that He gives His toughest battles to His strongest soldiers. He'll always be there for you no matter what. Being Christian means finding the strength to call on and listening to Him when you need help.

Psalm 56:8 says; "You keep track of all my sorrows; You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book."

God will always be aware. In the pain and suffering, He knows what you're going through even better than you do. He'll encourage you if you ask, admonishing you to be patient. At the end of the difficult journey, you'll realize that you've learnt a lot and your faith will be even stronger.

So don't lose faith if you're having one of those moments, and if you aren't asking God for strength to be through them, don't forget that the bible says:

Matt 28:20 - "Teach these new disciples to obey all the commandments I have given you and be sure of this; I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
