[Season 4] Ep. 5 - A Battle of Wills

As Ren was escorted to the infirmary by the robotic nurses and Mari, visibly disheartened, made her way back to the control center, the loudspeakers blared, summoning the next pair of students: "Kaito and Noriaki, you are expected by Crimson Guns at Ground Theta."

The duo left the central hub, nerves tingling with anticipation but minds set on victory, and proceeded to their designated test site. Entering the vast underground corridor of Ground Theta, they found themselves surrounded by towering stone pillars, forming an imposing arena.

In a different room of the control center Ema approached Mari, offering her solace after her challenging test. Leaving them to their conversation, I remained in the control room, observing as my classmates embarked on their trials. Behind the sturdy pillars, Noriaki and Kaito conferred quietly, strategizing before the commencement of the test.

- "You're confident about slowing them down, right, Sloth?" Kaito's concern was evident in his voice.

- "Absolutely, no doubt about it," Noriaki replied calmly.

- "I hope so. I'd rather not catch a bullet myself," Kaito confessed, his worry palpable.

- "Don't worry, we've got this," Noriaki reassured him, his demeanor unwavering.

- "I'm counting on you!"

- "Same here," Noriaki replied, his confidence shining through.

The event kicked off with the resonating chime of the bell, and Crimson Guns descended from the trap door in the ceiling marked with a bold "Exit." His imposing figure emerged, clad in a crimson helmet obscuring his face, his gaze concealed behind the visor. A voluminous black cape billowed around him, its scarf-like collar adding an air of mystique. With practiced precision, he adorned himself with his signature pair of pistols, seamlessly integrating them into the sleek design of his ensemble.

Once renowned as a formidable villain-hunter in his youth, Crimson Guns wielded his quirk, Creammunition, with lethal precision, leaving adversaries teetering on the brink of defeat. Now in the role of educator, rumors swirled about his teaching methods—rumors that left me pondering his approach to facing my classmates.

As Kaito and Noriaki cautiously advanced, darting from column to column, Crimson Guns deftly reloaded his weapons. With a casual air, he unleashed bursts of gunfire, the echo of each shot reverberating through the corridor.

- "Echo Bullets: Scanning," he declared, as the projectiles embedded themselves into the pillars, emitting a piercing resonance that served as his auditory reconnaissance.

- "I've got you now," he proclaimed, his gaze fixed on his targets. "Rubber Bullets: Double Shot!"

The rubber bullets ricocheted off the stone, leaving Noriaki and Kaito momentarily exposed, caught in the crosshairs of Crimson Guns' relentless pursuit.
