Elaine's POV

I wake up a little early and went for a jog. After jogging I got back to my apartment and took a bathe, After thatI got ready for work. I then grabbed a granola bar and went to work. When I got to work I'm soon greeted by Angie.

Angie: Dr

Elaine: hi how are you?

Angie: I'm good and you?

Elaine: I'm fine

Angie: how was your leave?

Elaine: it was interesting

Angie: I hope the good kind of interesting

Elaine: yeah, what are we doing today?

Angie: today Julia the patient you performed the surgery on is coming for a check up

Elaine: oh I can't wait to undress her but I'm also anxious

Angie: I'm sure you did a great job

Elaine: I hope so

I was super anxious to see Julia as she was the first ever person I had performed a surgery on. I get to my office and unlock the door and I find a big bouquet of flowers on top of my desk.

Angie: these are beautiful

Elaine: yeah, Uhm if you'll excuse me I want to change

Angie: yes Doc

She leaves and I walk closer to the bouquet and find a note. I take the note and read it, it was from Billie and she was apologizing for the hundredth time. I take the bouquet and place it on the side of my desk next to the photo of us which I turn the picture upside down. I start my day and Julia comes it turns out the surgery was a success.

Angie: you see I told you

Elaine: thanks but I wouldn't have done it without you

Angie:  it's time for your lunch now

Elaine: okay thanks

She walks out and I go to my locker to take out my phone. I then hear a knock on the door. I reply without turning around

Elaine: did you forget something

Alex: Elaine

Elaine: oh hi I thought you were Angie

Alex: no it's just me

Elaine: you're punctual aren't you?

Alex: yeah

Elaine: let me grab my things then we'll go for lunch

Alex: sure

I grab my phone and we walk out. She gives me a bouquet of flowers.

Elaine: thank you, they smell good

Alex: I couldn't find daises so I resorted to orchids

Elaine: how do you know my favourite flowers are daises?

Alex: I did my research

Elaine: (smile)  I see

We get to the cafeteria and we take my usual spot.

Alex: I brought you a Greek salad and a vanilla smoothie
