3rd POV
Normani x SZA

"Solána, all I asked was if you were gonna come to the party with me. You're acting like I'm asking you to marry me or something," Normani said storming off away from the older woman.

"Mani, we're supposed to be a secret. We can't keep going out together like this," Solána fired back walking behind the singer, who was clearly over the topic.

"What if I'm tired of being a secret? You ever thought about that?" the younger woman questioned. Her anger began to boil as Solána started talking again to answer the question.

"You agreed to that. You knew what you were getting into," she answered and Normani nodded.

"Okay," she said and that was the last thing she said before going upstairs. Solána didn't follow her. She went into the living room instead and turned on the tv. The younger, brown eyed woman came downstairs and cleared her throat.

"I'll be back later," she said before leaving the house not giving Solána a chance to say anything to her.

Solans rolled her eyes flicking through the tv channels. As the hours past, she grew concerned about the younger woman. She decided to brush it of. Her and Normani argued all the time and they'd get over it like it never happened. Solána knew that argument felt different, but definitely not in a good way. She attempted to call the woman, but got sent directly to the voicemail.

"Damn, I really made her mad," she thought. Mindlessly, she began to dial Normani's number again. Sent directly to voicemail again. She wouldn't be able to sleep until the younger woman made it back safely, so she stayed up.

Three o'clock in the morning on the dot. She heard the front door open and shut. She turned to see Normani kicking off her heels and walking directly towards the kitchen. Solána got up and walked in the kitchen.

"Why were you out so late?" Solána asked as Normani grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge.

"I was at a party," she replied dryly. Solána looked at her and Normani stared right back.

"Why were you out so late?" Solána questioned again.

"I was at a party," Normani replied giving the same energy.

"Normani."

"Solána."

"Baby, I'm sorry about earlier."

"Okay," she replied and took a sip of the water.

"Mani, I'm serious," the older woman said walking towards the younger woman.

"Okay, so am I," she said back to the woman and left the kitchen.

"Normani," Solána said trying to catch up to the woman.

"I'm going to go take a shower," Normani said walking up the stairs.

"Why is she giving me the cold shoulder like this? All I did was not go to a party with her?" Solána thought to herself as she climbed up the carpeted stairs. She heard the shower running and decided to just leave Normani alone, so she could cool off.

Solána went back down the stairs to turn off the tv, waited for Normani to get out of the shower and grabbed Normani's favorite ice cream from the freezer. She always kept a small pint for Normani in her freezer for when she came over.

She quickly grabbed a spoon and went back upstairs to see the woman laying in bed. Normani looked over at her curiously wondering what the older woman had hidden behind her back. Solána smiled pulling the ice cream from behind her. Normani tried to hide her smile, but failed.

"Just because you brought me ice cream doesn't mean I'm not still upset with you," Normani told her and Solána smiled once again. She handed the ice cream over to Normani before crawling into the bed with her.

"Are you really tired of being a secret?" Solána asked quietly.

"Yes, but I understand that you don't want everyone in your business. Just wish people weren't so nosey. Especially TheShadeRoom. They get on my damn nerves. Along with TMZ."

"I know. I'm sorry. I just want things to go perfectly. I don't wanna lose you because of some he said , she said shit, Mani," Solána replied.

"I know, Solána. I'm still upset you didn't go to that party with me though," she replied smiling at the older woman. After about an hour of talking, Normani finished her ice cream and Solána went in for a kiss. Normani held her hand up stopping her.

"I'm still upset with you," Normani said to her and Solána frowned. Normani threw the ice cream container away and rushed back upstairs before the monsters of the dark could get her. She got back in the bed and Solána looked at her as she laid down.

"I really don't get a kiss?" Solána asked.

"Not until I'm not upset anymore," the younger woman said turning onto her side.

"I got you ice cream."

"You didn't go to the party with me. No kiss for you. Good night, Solána," the New Orleans native said making the older woman sigh playfully.

"Good night, Normani."
