Adam's POV

She was out. So out that you would think she was dead if you didn't look closely. How could I be so stupid? Going to go find my next sleeping buddy instead of watching the girl was a dumbass move. She was so ignorant in things such as these.

And not feeding her before coming? Also a dumbass move. She had eaten the pizza for certain, the ones that Justin had drugged. And I had seen her drink that beer. I had a feeling she's never been intoxicated before and the first hangover is always the worst. She wasn't drunk but she was in pretty... high spirts. I was suppose to prove my parents wrong. That I wasn't wasting my life away and with 'useless' girls and 'useless' dreams.

They killed my dreams, left me abandoned in this huge house alone, and weren't there for me when I needed them. And when they were there? Ha.

I wondered what they were going to say to and about Abigail. She was indeed...different. But she was steady (in a Clumsy Smurf way), smart, funny, pretty (I'm a guy, what can I say...I look), she's what they're looking for. She has a goal, she wants her future and she's going for the gold. I just hope her going for the gold can impress my snake parents.

Abigail russled a bit and her eyebrows were crinkled. Her hair was fanned out around her head and her arms hung as if they were missing something. She looked peaceful.

Not wanting to wake her, I climbed into my king sized bed with her and wrapped her in my arm. Her body immediatly responded by snuggling closer against my chest. I felt at home as my eyes shut, blocking the world from my view.

_

"Ah!" The sudden noise startled me, a gush of force pushing me off my own bed. My head hit the hardwood floor first and I wince in pain as I attempt to get up. Ouch.

I look up to see the culprit and my eyes meet Abigail's wide brown ones filled with bewilderment. She probably has no idea what the fuck is going on.

"What-what a-are you doing in t-the bed with me? I thought you said you would never rape someone! Gah!" She yells, sprinting up from the bed. She never fails to make me laugh, this one.

"Don't jump to such sudden conclusions, Princess. I was just sleeping," She nods but then doubles over. And it begins.

"Agh! I need to..." She sprints to the bathroom, not bothering to close the door as she pukes all over the place. Ugh. I'll have to call the housekeeper tomorrow. But for now, I'm using the guest one across the hall. She gags one last time and sits on the bathroom floor, rocking herself.

I hear a sniffle and sigh, walking over to the bathroom. Crouching down, I see silent tears run down her face. I pat her back, knowing she's probably in a lot of pain with her stomach and all right now.

"You okay?" I ask, looking into her deep eyes. She nods and dips her head again.

"Yeah," she croaks. "What the cow happened last night?"

I laugh at her use of words. "Well, you ate drugged pizza and literally chugged down beer and you were about to embark on the most terrible dance battle of your life,"

She laughs and shakes her head like she couldn't believe it. "Wow,"

"Yeah," I chuckle. I get up, opening the mirror and getting out some "hangover meds" as we call em', or also known as Advil or Tylenol. I toss them in her direction and she catches them perfectly. She screws open the top like those pills are her lifeline and shallows some. This girl is crazy! She drinks pills without water? Shiver.

She slowly gets up, using the toilet to help her balance. Her hair was frizzy from all the rolling around she did in bed and her face was spotted and lined with crease marks. I'm telling you, that girl is a wild thang when she's sleeping. At first, I was like oh yeah she's so peaceful and then BAM! It's like Hurricane Katrina in my own sheets.

Is it bad for me to think of what it would be like if we... No. This is all just part of the deal. Well, most of it. I don't know but there was something about Abigail that I wanted. I wanted-I wanted her. No, no I didn't.

She turned at looked at me awkwardly, "Um, do you have something I could wear..."

"Aren't you going to Royal's house though? I mean to get ready for you know, tonight?"

She nods, carrying a stupid look on her face. "Yeah but I really don't feel clean or- you know, it's okay. You're right, I'll just wait," But she's cut off by the a navy blue shirt and an old pair of gym shorts clinging to her head. She smiles in thanks and I leave the bathroom to give her some privacy.

Though, I really don't want to...

I grab some clothes for myself and head across the hall to the guest bathroom. I see some of the bedrooms are still occupied and I make a small detour from my shower. I knock on every door, kicking everyone out of the house and yelling making sure everyone was out. Finally, they all were and it was just me Abigail.

I can hear her soft humming as I pass the room and grin. Fuck, she's got an amazing voice, I know that from the trip from jail but she wasn't singing at her best, I knew that. Now if she would just sing a little bit louder and clearer. My feet quietly make their way through my bedroom door, I'm careful not to make a sound. I lean up against the bathroom door and hear her quiet voice.

"Sometimes I just want somebody to hold. Someone to give me their jacket when it's cold, got that young love even when we're old,"

Damn it. Her voice was just so soothing and soft but bold and strong. She had control of every note that came out of her throat. I grinned. Wow.

All of a sudden, the shower stopped and so did her singing. I turned and quickly made it out of the room without her knowing. I was smiling the whole way to the bathroom. As I began my shower, I couldn't help but change up the lyrics to "Dear No One," by Tori Kelly, the song Abigail was just singing.

"Oh, baby, I'll be the one that you can hold. The one to give you their jacket when it's cold, give you that young love even when we're old,"

I belted out each note, hoping she heard every single one.
