Azula climbed up to find Zuko sitting on a step, staring quietly up at the moon with a small clay plate in hand, imprinted with a baby's handprint.

"I thought I'd find you here," she commented.

"Those summers we spent here seem so long ago," he rubbed his thumb over the small palm. "So much has changed."

"Come down to the beach with me," she started down, gesturing for him to follow. "Come on, this place is depressing."

He followed her; the plate left abandoned on the step. The two walked side by side, but Zuko felt like his thoughts were chasing a spectre, always just out of reach. Then, Ty Lee and Mai finally appeared, sitting on nearby rocks, and mild irritation washed over Zuko as he locked eyes with Mai, whose expression was a mixture of anger and sadness.

"Hey-"

"Where's your new boyfriend?" he demanded, cutting her off.

He immediately regretted it when she turned away angrily. He sat next to her, reaching out to put his arms around her.

"Are you cold?"

She slapped his arm away angrily.

"I'm freezing," Ty Lee commented.

Zuko smiled, standing up.

"I'll make a fire," he indicated the mansion. "There's plenty of stuff to burn in there."
