"'Cause I got issues, but you got 'em too"

(George POV)

"Reece! Reece wait!" I said, catching his arm and spinning him around.

I thought we were going well. Getting to know each other, getting closer.

"Just let me go, George." He said, clearly upset.

"No."

"George-"

"No. You're not dropping that then running off."

He sighed, "George, it's best for the both of us if I leave."

"I'm not done here and I don't know how to get back." I smirked.

He stopped, already half way down the hill. I could see him sigh. He turned around and walked back up without a word. I sat down and he sat next to me reluctantly.

I sighed, "Reece don't do that."

"Do what." He said bluntly.

"That. You were opening up Reece. I know your scared of opening up, I am too. I've never told anyone what I said to you Reece. Please don't shut down again."

He sighed, putting his head in his hands.

"I don't want to shut down again either. It felt good getting this off my chest, it's just I-" he sighed again. " I can't help it. I've been hiding who I really was, everything that happened, for years. It's hard to undo all of that."

"I know, I know. I'm not asking you to tell me your life story, just don't shut down."

He looked at me for the first time since he left, and gave me a small smile.

"I won't. I'll try at least."

"Wanna play twenty questions?" I asked.

He laughed a little. "Why not."

(Reece POV)

"Do you want to start?" I asked George.

"Alright, what's your favourite colour?"

"Light blue." The colour of your eyes, I wanted to say.

"Your turn." He said grinning.

"Hm. What's your favourite movie?" I asked.

"Star Wars. Definitely Star Wars." He said looking down a bit.

"So you're into fantasy. Interesting."

He laughed. "What about you? What's your favourite movie?" George asked.
