I woke up it was 7

Waited till 11
just to figure out that no one would call.

I think I got a lot of friends but I don't hear from them
.

What's another night all alone?

When you're spending everyday on your own
. And here it goes

I'm just a kid and life is a nightmare
.

I'm just a kid, I know that its not fair
.

Nobody cares, cause I'm alone and the world is
having more fun than me. Tonight

Brooklyn's P.O.V

"Hey Pop," I smiled and gave her a tight hug.

"Hey darl," he smiled.

"Why are you here? I haven't seen you since my graduation"

"Am I not allowed to pop by every once and a while?" he laughed sounding a little offended.

"Sorry," I said dropping my head.

"Don't apologies love," he laughed and hugged me again.

"Dinner's almost ready," mum smiled.

"Is Jason coming?" no, please no.

"Yeah, he should be here soon," crap!

"Why is he coming over?" I groaned as slumped into my chair at the table.

"Because he's your brother"

"All he's going to do is brag about how fantablious his life is," I whined and crossed my arms over my chest with a pout.

"Is that really all you think he does?"

"No I don't think, I know," mum rolled her eyes at me. "And plus," I said jolting up, "he was supposed to come to my graduation but never showed up".

"He was busy"

"Yeah...sure"

"Brooklyn," her warning was interrupted by a knock on the door. "It's for you".

I mumbled a few choice words under my breath then walked to the door. I swung it open to reveal my big brother standing there.

"What do you want?" I mumbled.

"Can I not come and see how my sister's doing?"

"No," I answered then shut the door in his face.

A few seconds later I opened it and walked off, "sassy aren't we, Brooklyn?"

"Can I ask you something?"

"Brooklyn...don't," mum warned.

"Why weren't you at my graduation?" I questioned.

"I was busy"

"I came to your graduation"

"Guys don't," dad begged.

"Whatever," I said then walked up to my room.

I turned my TV and DVD player on and waited for Child's Play to start. I got fifteen minutes in when Pop came to get me for dinner.

It was quiet for a while until Jason decided to speak up, "how's life out of school going, Brooke?"

"Don't call me that...and I haven't done much," I shrugged.

"Brooklyn..." dad said wearily and I dropped my fork immediately.

I'd heard that tone so many times, "no please," I begged.

"Please what?" he quizzically asked.

"Don't kick me out. I'm sorry, I won't do it again I swear. I'm sorry," I begged, as tears were about to fall.

Suddenly everyone started laughing and I stared at the like they were nuts, who laughs when someone is about to be kicked out of their home?

"We're not kicking you out silly. We actually have a surprise for you"

"Thank god," I breathed.

"Do you remember Luke?"

"The guy who pulled me back? Yeah"

"Well...we've kept in contact with that lovely young man and he's offered to take you on tour with him and his band," my mouth dropped, no way.

"How are we going to pay for that?"

"He's insisted on paying"

"Mum I can't let him do that. He doesn't even know me"

"It's already arranged so you can't back out"

"How long is the tour?"

"About six months," my breath hitched and I coughed.

"What? When am I supposed to be leaving?"

"On Sunday at 10 Am"

"That's two days!"

"If we told you earlier then you would have protested a lot more"

I tried speaking but nothing coherent came out, I kept muttering nonsense as I left the table and walked up to my room. I snatched a cushion off my window bench and screamed my lungs into it.

"Brooklyn," mum said from the door.

"What now?" I whined.

"Luke wants to speak to you," she said then handed me the phone.

I put it on speaker then sat on the bench hugging the cushion, "hello?"

"Hey Brooklyn," his happy voice said through the speaker. "I hear you don't want to come".

"I think I would if I wasn't told two day before we're supposed to leave"

"It will be fine. I promise"

"Don't make promises that you cant keep"

"But I can keep this one"

"What's it like?"

"It's fun"

"What will I do? While you're rehearsing and stuff?"

"You'll find something to do. Are you going to come?"
