And suddenly she was there. She was singing. She was alive. My heart pounded a million beats per minute. I felt like I just met her all over again. In front of me in a hospital gown laid an incredibly beautiful human girl, she had pale pearly skin, big sapphire blue eyes, full kissable lips, a gorgeous smile. Even with a gaze wrapped around her head and tubes attached to her she could make me drool. I found myself inching forward before I even knew I was, I found my fingers intertwining with her half asleep ones. I found my lips landing on hers in the softest, sweetest kiss I've ever had. Not one filled with passion and need, one that was only filled with relief and happiness.

Her hand squeezed mine and I pulled away, resting my forehead on hers as she breathed steadily. Her breath fanning my face. I heard the door swing open in an anticipated frenzy as Darrin, Brian, and a doctor rushed in. I pulled myself away from Sophie, allowing myself to go over to the window and watch as the sun began to rise.
