CHAPTER 54: Dandy Mott

I woke up still lying on the kitchen floor, but there was a blanket covering me. I looked around slowly. It was dark outside and all the lights were off. I slowly got up, taking the blanket with me. I felt like a little blanket burrito.  A stupid, little blanket burrito that is.

I went upstairs, walking slowly as to not slip on the stairs. Waddeling towards my room and throwing myself onto the bed. I stayed curled up until I fell asleep again.

The next time I woke up it was because I heard my door being closed. The sun was already shining into the room and it took me a bit to focus on who stood in my room.

Dandy.

He stepped towards my bed, slower than I've ever seen him move.

"You're up." He said as he sat down on the bed. To which I just nodded. "You took the blanket with you." He said but didn't look at me. Again, I just nodded.

Silence.

Even more silence.

...


"... I...." Dandy began but stopped talking as soon as he had begun.

I just looked at him, waiting for him to say something. But he didn't. we stayed like this for a long and painful while. Then he left the room, and I let him.
