we have some unfortunate news to share about the health of ateez's asuka.

recently, at one of the stops in ateez' american tour, asuka's father has passed away due to health complications on a flight to america. asuka later had begun to experience depression and anxiety - more so than before. he showed clear signs of the conditions and was brought to the hospital by ateez's judgement and inspected

on doctors opinion, asuka has been diagnosed with clinical depression and severe anxiety. it had been recommended asuka take time off to recover from the loss of his father and to work on his mental health. he will need time and a lot of stability to get back to where he used to be. it has also been recommended by the doctor that asuka works on his adhd which can affect his mental health also

after long discussions with ateez, asuka, and the agency, it was decided that asuka would focus on his medications, and treatment and therefore asuka will take a hiatus from ateez' activites.

ateez will promote as 8 members for the time being. we will announce asuka's return to scheduled activities only after making our decision based on careful discussions and expert opinion.

during asuka's hiatus, asuka will not participate in separate activities but instead focus on recovering his health. the agency will do everything we can to help him quickly return to full health.
