Chapter 26

"Joe, Where are you?!" Ben asked on the phone.

"I'm at Leeds Road, in front of Toast House" I had this fear of seeing Hines, Charlie and Warren again and of course, I'll have no one if ever I see them again now that Luke went home. So, I went to Toast House, which is the nearest Restaurant to the coffee shop where Luke took me out for the night.

"I'm here, I'm here right now-"

"Ohh! I see the car" I said, and I put my phone down and ran towards the car "Hey!"

"Your friend said thankyou" Ben said, as he started the engines and drived.

"Who?" I asked

"The girl with ginger hair" he said

"Ohh, Helena" I was so lost of thinking about the things that just happened in the coffee shop that I forgot I asked Ben to take Helena home.

"And you do know Callum just moved in your house, right?" Ben said

"So, it's official now?" I said

"Well, yeah" he said

"He didn't really move in there, you know. Even before I came here, my dad already adopted him" I said

"Steve told me to tell you this because he doesn't know how to tell you and, now-" he sighed "I don't know how to tell you this either"

"Just go! Spill!" I said

"You do know your room at Steve's house used to be the guestroom, right?" he said

"Yeah, I know that" I said

"Actually, it was Callum's room. And now, uhm-"

"What?! Now what?!" I shrieked

Ben took a deep breath.

"Well, your dad had your room divided into two a few days ago and now, you have a smaller room" he said

"WHAT?!" I totally freaked out

"The other half of your room belongs to him now"

I groaned.

"Hate this life!" I said "That's just so wrong!"

"Your house has only two bedrooms"

"He could've just stayed in the Sitting Room or something, where the damn Fireplace is. This is so unfair!"

"Why is it unfair?"

"It's almost as if dad likes him better than me" I said

"Jealous?" he asked

"I have every right to be jealous, don't I?! I'm his daughter, not Callum! Besides, what's Callum's last name?! Samuels right?! or...maybe Taylor?"

Ben suddenly stopped the car. He turned to me.

"Taylor?" he said "Did you say Taylor?"

I sucked in my lips.

"I didn't say anything-"

"I heard you perfectly clear" he said

"Forget I said that"

"How do you know?" he asked

"I could ask you the same question" I said "You started working for us only a month ago. You can't possibly know the History"

"Who said I started working for you only last month?" he said

"What do you mean?" I asked

"Steve and I already knew each other since I was very small. My father is his friend"
