Feelings

Hope and Josie were dancing in the middle of the hall in amongst everyone, enjoying their time together. Hope watched as Josie twirled and bopped to the beat of the song and couldn't help but smile. The song had finally come to an end and Hope informed Josie that she was headed to get some refreshments. Once at the refreshment table she saw Lizzie talking to MG. Walking over, Hope greeted MG before turning to Lizzie "Hey Lizzie, can I have a word?" Lizzie looked at her, a strange look on her face before nodding "Sure, what's wrong?" Hope took a deep breath before she began talking "This is going to sound really weird but I have to ask. Has Josie ever spoken to you about me?" Lizzie crossed her arms before answering "Maybe? What's it to you?" Hope rolled her eyes at Lizzie before she continued speaking "This might sound weird to you Lizzie, and you can never tell Josie. But I care about her, More than anything so I just wanted to know if she could ever possibly feel the same way".

The girls just stood there, letting silence fill the air between them. Until Lizzie finally spoke "Listen Mikaelson, you can never tell my sister I told you this. But she has had a crush on you since she was like 14. Now if you don't mind my date is waiting". Hope stood there, glued to the spot. Until a hand on her back bought her back to her senses. Turning around, Hope saw Landon smiling at her "Hey Hope, I never see you at party's. Care to dance". Hope smiled at him and nodded trying to be polite "Sure". They both walked onto the dance floor and began dancing. Suddenly the song was cut off, replaced by a slower, more intimate one. Hope immediately scanned the crowds for Josie, but Landon had already offered his hand out to her. Trying not to seem rude, Hope extended her hand out, accepting his invitation to dance. While dancing, Hope's eyes fell upon Josie, She was slow dancing with Raf. Hope Frowned as she felt Jealousy spark up inside her, she wasn't able to take her eyes off Josie. Hope saw Josie pulled away from Raf, and instantly knew this was because of the soul mark. Hope realised that Josie must have sensed her jealousy and began to worry, If Josie could feel everything Hope could feel, then that means that Josie knew Hope wanted to be with her. 

Upon finishing her dance with Landon, Hope excused herself and went to find Dr Saltzman who was of course standing guard over the punch table. Walking over, Hope greeted him. "Hi Dr Saltzman, I know it's your night off but can I ask you something?" Alaric nodded and smiled "Sure Hope, what's wrong?" Hope walked closer so they could hear each other better "You said earlier that me and Josie would be able to feel each others emotions right?" Alaric nodded and Hope continued "Does that mean that if I'm jealous or something she can feel it?" Alaric shook his head "No, the book said you two can feel each others core emotions. That means you can only feel if either of you are scared, angry, sad, happy, guilty or sick. Considering jealousy is usually due to fear or anger, its entirely possible that Josie would feel either fear or anger." Hope nodded with understanding, but had one more question to ask "So If I feel love for example, she can't feel that?" Alaric turned to her and smiled as if he knew what she was getting at "She would be able to feel that you love her. But only if you want her to". Hope felt relief wash over her, and was glad that Josie wouldn't be able to sense her jealousy. This would have made things much more complicated. Grateful for her answers, she thanked Dr Saltzman and went in search of Josie. It didn't take Hope long to find her, considering she could smell Josie from a mile away. Even if Josie was in amongst a crowd. Plus, Josie was wearing the necklace Hope had put on her bed that afternoon. Which Hope had spelled with an enchantment, allowing her to be able to track Josie; no matter where she was. Walking over to her, Hope put her hand on Josie's back; causing the girl to turn around. "Hope, there you are. I was about to come and find you. I felt your anger earlier, are you okay? What Happened?" Hope smiled at Josie "Oh, someone just bumped me and it annoyed me. Nothing to worry about". Josie raised her eyebrow at Hope "If you get that angry about someone bumping into you, I think you should start talking to Emma again". Hope Giggled and so did Josie "Well, I am my father's daughter. But noted".

It was getting late, and the party was due to finish. Josie was starting to get tired. Hope noticed and smiled at Josie as she yawned "Do you want to call it a night?" Josie shook her head as a one last slow song came on "Not yet, I want one last dance with you". Hope nodded as she took Josie's hand. She then moved her hands to Josie's hips as Josie wrapped her arms around Hope's Neck. They stood there, dancing on the spot before Hope felt Josie pull her closer. They were now forehead to forehead, and Hope couldn't help but look to Josie's Lips. Hope Swallowed thickly , Doing everything she could to resist the urge to kiss her. After what felt like an eternity, the song finished. Hope was the first to pull away and look at Josie, who yawned again "Now are you ready to go?" Josie smiled at Hope and nodded "Yeah, I'm ready now". Hope smiled and pointed for Josie to lead the way. She followed Josie as they headed up to her room.

Lizzie had left the party early with one of the boys from the party. Josie had assumed she would have the room to herself tonight, but she was mistaken. As Josie reached her room she heard noise coming from inside. She listened for a second before quickly turning  to look at Hope, who was also looking at her; an expression of disgust on her face "Yeah, I'm gonna go sleep out by the fireplace tonight". Without thinking, Hope quickly grabbed Josie's hand "Why don't you just share my room with me?" Josie smiled and nodded "Okay, sure". Hope grinned and they headed down the hall. Once at Hope's room, she opened her door and let Josie in. Josie walked in and immediately laid across Hope's bed, sighing. Hope giggled and closed the door behind her, before going to her drawers and grabbing a Hoodie and some shorts. She then walked over to Josie and handed them to her "Here, you can change into these". Josie smiled and thanked Hope before quickly going in to the bathroom to change. Whilst Josie was changing, Hope quickly changed into something more comfortable. It wasn't long before Josie exited the bathroom. Hope stared at Josie as she stood in the middle of her room, wearing her clothes. Hope was finally snapped out of it when Josie spoke "What are you looking at and why are you so happy?" Hope cleared her throat before pulling her covers back and patting the side of her bed. "No reason". Josie smiled and shrugged, then climbed in bed with Hope. They both laid there in silence when Hope felt Josie Shuffle next to her. Knowing what Josie was trying to do, Hope moved to snuggle against Josie, and she put her arm over her. They soon drifted to sleep.
