At the playground.
Henry walked over to me. We were in the woods, right outside of Storybrooke.
August walked up behind him.
I looked at August "what are you doing here?"
August "I drove him"
Henry "he's part of Operation Cobra"
I shot August a look "oh really?"
He nodded.
Henry asked confused "why are we out of town?"
Me "Because I'm going to tell you something and to do that I'll need to show you something I can't do in this town"
He looked at me confused.
I took a deep breath "I'm Princess Echo"
Henry looked at me surprised "you remember?"
I nodded "I do"
Henry "how?"
Me "Because I never forgot, Henry"
He looked at me confused.
I showed him some pages of the book that I had ripped out long before I gave it to him.
Henry looked at them confused "you had them? Why?"
Me "Because I wanted you to hear it from me and not read it in some book"
Henry looked at me confused.
Me "the reason I remember is because I'm not part of the curse. I left moments before Regina activated the spell."
Henry "you didn't know?"
I nodded "I knew. Henry, it's complicated but I knew"
Henry said kinda disappointed "you raised me knowing I was your family knowing about Regina being the Evil Queen"
Me "Regina and I go way back, Henry, there's a reason I gave her to you and stayed with you. Why do you think did I stay with you? For Regina?-no. Because you and I are family"
Henry "you told me I was crazy this whole time. How could you keep this from me?"
I sighed "I'm sorry"
Henry "what changed your mind? Why are you telling me the truth now?"
Me "I got held hostage by an old friend. The Mad Hatter"
Henry's eyes widened "what?"
I nodded "Yes, he and I may not share the same curse like the others do but he and I share one as well. The curse of knowledge. It's worse than the other one"
Henry asked confused "why did you rip these pages out of the book?"
Me "Because I'm not that person anymore."
Then I handed them to him "Henry, these are the pages that show the worst of me, the kind of evil that I was. It's on you to decide what you want to do with them. But I want you to know that I am not that person anymore. That's why I left the magic forest to change"
Henry looked at the pages and nodded.
I looked down.
Suddenly he hugged me.
I hugged back, surprised but then smiled.
Henry "Thank you so much, Echo, for everything"
I smiled "Champ"
Henry looked at me "Can you show me your powers?"
I sighed but then nodded "sure"
Then kneeled down to the ground and siphoned the life out of the grass, it turned from green to brown, dead.
I looked at Henry who watched with wide eyes. It felt so good to have your old magic run back through your veins.
Henry "you're a siphoner"
I nodded "yes. Watch"
Then I walked over to the field of different colored flowers "Henry, name me a color"
Henry "Blue"
I smiled amused and then held my open palm out to the flowers and concentrated.
Henry "WOW!!"
The flower pedals turned blue.
Henry "what else can you do?"
Me "Everything the Evil Queen can do but I have to siphon power out of something to transform it into magic"
He nodded "that's so cool"
I shook my head "Not always"
Henry "How long does your siphoned magic last?"
Me "Till I used it all."
Henry "why haven't you used your powers before?"
Me "Because the curse seems to block everything related to magic in Storybrooke."
He nodded "That's why you called me out here. Out of town"
I nodded "yes"
Then I looked at August "so you really told him everything about yourself?"
August nodded "yes"
Me "Wooden Doll"
He rolled his eyes.
Across the street from Gold's Pawn Shop.
August, Henry and i were lurking around. Turned out Kathryn's still alive which makes Gold's and Regina's plan useless.
August "It's almost nine. You all set? You know what to do? "
Henry " Operation Cobra is always ready. I just... "
August" You just what? "
Henry shrugged "I don't understand what this has to do with getting Emma to believe. "
August "Sometimes, other priorities assert themselves. Can you handle a little improvisation?"
Henry nodded "Yeah. Can you? "
Me "Let me do it"
They looked at me.
Me "i know how to distract him"
August "you sure?"
I nodded "yeah"
August nodded "Then go."
I walked over the shop and into it.
Mr. Gold " Good morning, Echo. What can I do for you? "
Me " I want to get a gift for my sister, you know, since she didn't kill Kathryn"
Mr. Gold asked confused "your sister? i wasn't aware of you having any siblings in town? especially not Miss Blenchard. "
I scoffed, shaking my head "Cut the crap. I know who you are and you know very well who i am"
Mr. Gold pretended to me confused "I don't know what you are talking about, Echo. I'm Mr. Gold and you are Echo"
I nodded "and that's why you've been crawling up the Evil Queen's ass? i've heard you plotting with her-calling her "Your majesty" "
He froze "i have no idea, what you are talking about"
I rolled my eyes.
suddenly Mr. Gold walked into his office and sighed.
Oh boy.
then i saw August walking to me "Let's go"
Then he walked out. I looked at Mr. Gold before walking out
Night. At Mary's apartment. .
We were all gathered to celebrate Mary's welcome home party. It kinda pissed me off that some people were suddenly playing good friends while not even 24 hours ago they didn't believe she was innocent.
Henry looked at August " How bad was it? "
August"Getting caught in his office? Not bad. I played it off."
Henry"What were you looking for? Did you find it? "
August " Nope. But I have a feeling it's going to find me. There she is. Why don't you give her your present?"
Henry grabbed his gifts and walked over to Mary "Hey. I have something for you."
He handed her a giant card.
Mary opened it ""We're so glad you didn't kill Misses Nolan"...
Henry" It's from the whole class, and I got you a bell."
Mary smirked " Thank you. Tell everyone I'll be back soon. "
Henry" Okay. "
Emma" Hey, Henry, we should get you home before your mom finds out. That won't be pretty. "
I stood up and looked at her "I'm gonna drive him home, don't worry"
She nodded "okay, thank you"
I nodded and opened the door fro Henry to walk out.
Suddenly David stood there.
I froze and looked around and caught Mary's eyes.
I mouthed "David"
She froze and shook her head.
I looked at David "She's kind of tired. I think if you just give it some time... "
David " I just wanted to- "
Me" Hey, Henry. Why don't you head home with David? "
Henry"Okay. "
David froze.
I sighed "Sorry."
David " Okay. "
Then they left.
I sighed.
Later. In the woods.
I saw Mr. Gold pressing August against a tree with a dagger on August's throat. Not just some dagger, the dark ones dagger.
August saw me and froze "Echo"
Mr. Gold let go of him and August left.
Me "Really, Mr. Gold?"
He turned to me "Echo, i didn't see you there"
Me "You really fell for his lie?"
Mr. Gold "i don't know what you are talking about"
I rolled my eyes annoyed "please, Rumpel, we both know that that was not Baelfire"
He froze.
Me "so it is really true. I knew bringing him up would make you drop your guard. "
Mr. Gold "You remember"
Me "I'm not affected by your curse, Gold, i wasn't home when Regina set it free. And the fact that you reacted on his name-you remember as well and so does Regina"
Mr. Gold just looked at me "You can't beat her on your own"
I shook my head "i've learned my lesson with making deals with you, Mr. Gold"
