Your pet hates them

“I’m really excited about you meeting her,” you told Minseok as the two of you walked towards your front door. “She’s really sweet. I think she’ll like you!”
Minseok chuckled. “I can’t wait to meet your cat, sweetie. I feel like this is a big step in our relationship, you know.”
Your keys jingled as you searched for the right one to unlock your door. You smiled back at your boyfriend as you heard door unlock, pushing it forward to allow you inside. Once inside, you put your hand on Minseok’s chest. “Wait here,” you said before running further into the house to get your cat.
When you came back with the cat in your arms, Minseok smiled. “There you are! It’s nice to meet you!” When he reached a hand out to pet her she hissed, extending a clawed paw out towards him. He retracted his hand immediately. “Oh!”
“Snowball, no!” you scolded, surprised. You looked back at Minseok who was nursing what looked like a scratch on his hand. “Oh no, she hurt you!”
Minseok shook his head, smiling awkwardly. “It’s fine, really.” Despite his words, you saw the disappointment in his eyes. You felt so bad. You knew how much he loved cats.
You sighed and gave Snowball a frustrated glance before setting her down on the floor. She wasted no time in running out of the room. You took your boyfriend’s hand. “I’m so sorry, Min. She’s never acted that way before.”
“Maybe she didn’t like me,” he said jokingly, though it didn’t seem all that funny.
You shook your head, smiling reassuringly. “That’s definitely not it.”
junmyeon;;
You were so grateful for Junmyeon’s patience. You really were. You knew it must’ve took everything in him to deal with your temperamental cat who seemed to have a vendetta against him. You’ve never seen your cat be so hateful to someone since you’ve had him. You didn’t know what it was. As far as you knew, Junmyeon had done nothing to make your cat dislike him. And despite the cat’s hatred for him, your boyfriend still decided to go with you to take your cat to the vet.
“Thank you for this,” you said, gesturing to your cat who sat in his crate in the back seat of the car. “I’m glad you’re coming with me.”
“Of course,” Junmyeon replied. “Not even the cat from hell can keep me from spending time with you, sweetheart. Besides, he’s pretty tolerable when he’s locked up.” You saw the look he shot your cat through the rear view mirror.
You chuckled. “He’s not the cat from hell. He’s actually sweet....just not to you.”
Junmyeon smirked. “Yeah, exactly, not to me.”
“I don’t know what’s not to like, though. I sure do like you. A lot.” You winked at him, making him smile.
“At least someone likes me, yeah?” Junmyeon leant over to kiss you, but the sound of an aggressive hiss halted him. He sighed and you could see the obvious annoyance on your boyfriend’s face. “Just remember I’m doing this for you.”
You smiled sheepishly.
yixing;;
Yixing was a total sweetheart. A gentle soul whom everyone adored, including animals. You were so sure your cat would like him. Besides, your cat had never shown aggression to anyone before. When you walked Yixing into your home and he’d met your cat, everything seemed okay. You noticed your cat wasn’t as sociable as she usually was, but thought nothing of it.
“She’s usually a lot more outgoing than this,” you told Yixing as you looked at your cat. “She usually walks right up to anyone who walks in the door.”
Yixing shrugged, smiling. “Maybe she’s just being shy today.” He reached for your hand to pull you near him, hands going to rest at your sides. You smiled as he leant down to kiss you, lips brushing against one another softly.
Your cat didn’t like that, though. She went from wearily watching from her spot to standing up with her back arched and hissing. The two of you broke apart quickly to look at her. “Whoa, she’s never hissed like that before.”
“I wonder if it’s me,” Yixing questioned.
You shook your head. “No, that can’t be.”
Yixing went towards her, hand outstretched to pet her. But before he could get close enough, your cat swatted a paw at him in warning, making him jump back. Yixing looked back at you with wide eyes.
You sighed. You didn’t know how you were going to deal with this.
baekhyun;;
There was no denying that your dog did not like Baekhyun. At all. Which was really odd considering your boyfriend was a dog himself just in human form. You figured the two of them would’ve gotten along swimmingly. Instead, anytime Baekhyun was over he had to tread carefully as to not piss your dog off. One sure way to make your dog go nuts was Baekhyun touching you. You didn’t know why your dog was so protective of you, but Baekhyun couldn’t even lay so much as a finger on you without fear of being bitten.
But that was forgotten one night when what started out as simple kisses turned into a heated, passion-filled make out on your couch. The two of you were so into it, uncaring of your surroundings and only worried about the feeling of your lips together. But when Baekhyun pushed you backwards to hover over you, your dog who had been tucked away in a corner went mad.
Baekhyun had barely enough time to move his hand away before your dog’s teeth could reach it. “Hey!!”
You groaned. “I forgot all about him.”
You heard your boyfriend let out a breath. You looked up at him to see him glaring down at your dog. “I almost just lost a finger! Maybe next time we should lock him in another room, yeah?”
jongdae;;
Things had started to get heated on the ride home. You didn’t even know how the two of you made it home when the entire car ride Jongdae had his hands all over you. But you didn’t care. In that moment all you cared about was getting inside and to your bed where the two of you desperately wanted to be.
His lips were at your neck as soon as the two of you crossed the threshold of the doorway. You were both a mess as you tried to discard your clothes as quickly as possible without having to lose any contact at all. All the while Jongdae tried to maneuver you to the bedroom. You landed on the bed in a mess of limbs and sighs of each other’s names. And just when things started to get really hot, the sound of your dog’s bark broke through the haze of desire that floated around in the room.
You stopped immediately and pulled away, making Jongdae whine at the loss of contact. “I forgot about my dog’s kennel being in here.”
Jongdae sighed and leant down to kiss you again. “It’s okay, let’s just ignore him.”
“I can’t. For whatever reason my dog hates you and never shuts up when you’re around. And the sound of a dog barking is kind of a turn off.”
Jongdae groaned and shot a glare at your dog. “We’re going over to my place next time!”
You smirked. “But the guys are there.”
“Who cares! At least they’re not going to bark at us while we’re getting it on!”
chanyeol;;
You really didn’t know what you were expecting when you introduced Chanyeol to your dog, but the two of them glaring each other down from opposite sides of your living room definitely wasn’t it. You had thought everything was going to be fine. Instead, the moment Chanyeol stepped through the door your dog launched himself at your boyfriend to bite at his ankles. Now, you were sitting in the middle with your dog on one side of the room and Chanyeol on the other.
“Yeol, I’m so sorry. I didn’t expect him to act this way,” you said, frowning.
Chanyeol shook his head while maintaining eye contact with your dog. “It’s fine, babe. He’s just challenging me, is all.”
You quirked an eyebrow at him. “Challenging?”
“His dominance is being threatened. Another male has entered his territory.” He said it so seriously you couldn’t help but laugh.
“Are you really being competitive about this? Yeol, just let it be. Maybe he’ll warm up to you.”
Chanyeol straightened his posture, setting his shoulders back. “Can’t do that. I’ll prove my dominance to him. He’ll see who the real alpha male is soon.”
As if to spite Chanyeol, your dog decided at that moment to bark, startling your boyfriend.
kyungsoo;;
It was as if your dog was set on keeping the two of you apart. Kyungsoo couldn’t even think about touching you without your dog trying to tear him to shreds. Your dog would even situate himself between the two of you any chance he got as if he needed to protect you from your own boyfriend.
Your dog was probably happy when you had to send Kyungsoo off on tour. And while Kyungsoo was gone, your dog was the sweetest little angel. You wondered what it was about your boyfriend that unsettled your dog so much.
When Kyungsoo arrived home from tour, walking through the door to see your smiling face, you forgot all about your dog and ran into his arms. You were too happy about seeing Kyungsoo again to care about anything else. Kyungsoo held you close until the all too familiar growl from your dog reached your ears.
“No! Don’t growl at him!” you scolded, your index finger pointed at the dog in warning. Your dog didn’t listen, however, and kept growling.
Kyungsoo sighed, tired and defeated. “Nothing’s going to make that dog like me, (y/n). You know that.”
You frowned. “It’s just so frustrating. I can’t even hug you without my dog trying to attack you.”
Kyungsoo shot a glare at your dog when your dog growled again. “We could always put him in another room.”
You looked at your dog as he continued to snarl at Kyungsoo and suddenly that didn’t seem like such a bad idea anymore.
jongin;;
You were so excited to see Jongin after he’d been gone on tour for so long that you paid your dog no mind. You didn’t even stop to think about how your dog would react to Jongin, the two never having met before. Your dog was pretty moody and really only liked you, so meeting new people was a bit of a challenge with him.
The moment you saw Jongin walking up your driveway you bursted through the door to meet him, jumping into his arms the second he got close enough. He laughed as he caught you. “I’ve missed you!” You shouted into his chest.
“I’ve missed you too,” he replied as he kissed your head. Jongin held you tight. The two of you enjoyed each other’s embrace until you heard your dog barking. You turned around to watch as your dog bolted out of the door towards Jongin, the latter running away in shock.
You didn’t know what to do as your dog chased your boyfriend around the yard until finally you were to catch him by his collar, stopping his assault on your poor boyfriend.
Jongin stood there out of breath. “I didn’t know you had a dog!”
You smiled sheepishly. “Uh, yeah, I do. Did I not mention that?”
Jongin gave you a look. “Nope.”
You sighed as you took your dog back inside. You hoped your dog would grow to like Jongin, but until then, you had to figure out how to peacefully have these two in the same room.
sehun;;
Sehun took your cat not liking him so personally. When you brought your cat over to his house, he hadn’t expected to be rejected so harshly. He tried to hide his disappointment for your sake, but you could tell by the firm set of his jaw that he wasn’t happy.
“Sehun, it’s okay. She’s like this with a lot of people, especially new people,” you said in hopes of consoling your pouting boyfriend.
Sehun frowned and turned his head away like a bratty child who didn’t get what they wanted. “It’s fine, really. I’m fine.”
You smirked. “No you’re not. You’re upset that my cat doesn’t like you.”
Sehun glared at your cat as he crossed his arms over his chest. Your cat looked back at him and hissed. Sehun scoffed and you couldn’t help but laugh. “I don’t see what’s so funny.”
You kept laughing. He was being so ridiculous. You had no clue that your cat liking him meant so much to Sehun. “You’re pouting, Sehun.”
“I am not.”
You quirked a brow at him and smiled knowingly. “Uh huh, sure you’re not.” When Sehun rolled his eyes you put your cat down on the floor and walked over to sit in his lap. You kissed his cheek. “For what it’s worth, I like you.”
Sehun grumbled at you yet you could tell that your affection was working on him when his hand rose to rest at your hip to pull you closer.
