"She's been asleep for quite a while, Mr. Jackson. Are you sure you don't want to wake her up?" I heard a posh-man say.
"No, no.." Michael softly said.
"She's had a rough night.. Besides, we won't be going anywhere today." Michael quietly said.
"Alright, Mr. Jackson." The posh-man said.
I heard little footsteps leave as my bedroom door shut.
I groaned, fluttering my eyes open.
Michael gasped, sitting next to me. "Oh Mia, did we wake you up? I'm so sor-"
I cut him off, "It's fine, Michael." I said.
I yawned, "What time is it?" I asked, stretching.
Michael smirked, scooting me over as he laid beside me in bed. "Almost noon." He said.
My eyes widened, "Oh god. Michael, I'm so sorry. I've never slept that late before.." I said, feeling embarrassed.
Michael softly chuckled, "It's alright. You had a rough night. Besides, you had other things to do.. It's fine to sleep in once in a while." Michael said, smoothing my head.
I blushed, "I guess so.." I softly said, staring at him.
"What's on the agenda?" I asked, turning to Michael.
Michael shrugged, "You still have all of Neverland to explore." He said.
I smirked, "True.. But um.." I slowly sat up.
Michael sat up as well, putting one hand on my back.
"What is it?" He quietly asked.
I frowned, "I'd like to make a small service for Mike.." I softly said, looking at him.
"I-I want to get it done soon as possible. The sooner I get the service done, the less it'll hurt me." I quietly said, rubbing my arm harshly.
Michael slowly nodded, "We can check out Neverland another time, I guess.." He sadly said.
"I-I'm sorry.." I said, feeling guilty.
"No, no, Mia. We should make a small service for Mike." Michael said, letting go of me as he turned his body towards me.
"What are you thinking?" He asked.
I frowned, "Umm.." I said, thinking.
"I-I think a funeral would just.... Kill me. I-I can't stand thinking about it." I quietly said, my voice wobbling.
Michael nodded.
"B-Besides, we don't have h-his body.." I said, my eyes watering up.
Michael bit his lip. I could tell this was upsetting him.
I sighed loudly. "I hate talking about this.." I admitted.
Michael slowly nodded, "Me too." His voice cracked.
We sat there in silence. Michael fumbled with his hands.
My breathing fastened as my heart started to race.
I whimpered softly, quickly grabbing Michael. I embraced him tightly, crying in his arms.
Michael didn't hug me back at first. I noticed he was taken back by my hug, but he quickly hugged me tightly.
"M-Mike didn't deserve this, M-M-Michael!" I sobbed.
"I know, Mia.. I know." Michael whispered, rubbing my back.
I laid my head on his shoulder, crying harder.
"We should get this done though." Michael softly said. At this point I could tell he was crying.
"I-It would be best.. Think about Mike." Michael quietly said.
I whimpered, "Don't be strong for me, Michael."
Michael shook his head, "I have too." He whispered as he started to sob.
Michael and I sat there, holding onto each other tightly as we cried.
My god.. I've never been this broken in my life.
I don't think Michael has either.
"Alright, alright." I softly said, letting go of Michael.
I wiped my eyes, "Enough crying." I sniffled.
Michael slowly nodded, gulping. "Agreed." He softly said.
"Um.. L-Let's just finish the planning." I quietly said.
Michael held onto my hands. "Okay." He said, looking into my eyes.
I blushed, "Okay." I whispered back.
"I-I don't want a lot of people.. Wait, do you mind if it happens h-here?" I softly asked.
Michael smirked, "I don't mind at all, Mia."
I let out a small smile, "Thank you." I said, feeling relieved.
"I don't want a lot of people here. M-Maybe just your family?" I questioned.
Michael furrowed his eyebrows. "Nobody else?"
I slowly shook my head, "I don't have anybody else.. I-I even don't mind if Jermaine and Hazel come along.." I shyly said.
Michael nodded, "Okay. I can arrange that."
"I don't want a big service. Just.. A f-family get together, kind of...." I felt embarrassed.
"I-I know they aren't my family b-but I-"
"It's fine, Mia. You are family to us." Michael smiled, squeezing my hands.
I blushed. "We'll just get together and remember Mike for his three years... A-And it's okay to get emotional about it." I softly said.
Michael nodded, "Of course.."
"I-I really don't know what else...." I admitted.
"Do you think you'd announce your pregnancy then?" Michael carefully asked.
I sighed, "I'm not sure. It's going to be about Mike that day, Michael. Not about me or my baby." I quietly said.
Michael nodded, "Of course, of course.." He mumbled.
"Mike was real close to your family...." I softly said.
Michael smirked, "Yeah.. A beautiful boy he was." Michael quietly said.
I gulped, closing my eyes. He was....
"Mia?" Michael softly asked, shaking me.
I opened my eyes, a few tears escaped as I stared at Michael.
Michael sighed, "It's going to be alright, Mia." Michael quietly asked.
I shook my head, "Michael, I just lost my baby yesterday. How the hell am I supposed to be okay?" I whispered.
Michael's lip quivered. "I'm trying, Mia. I-I'm trying.." He softly said, looking down. I watched him slowly cry.
"Stop trying, Michael.. It's okay to cry." I softly said, touching his back, pulling him closer to me.
Michael slowly held onto me as we both started crying again.
"I'm so sorry this had to happen." Michael sobbed.
"I-I could've done something, Michael. I-I truly could've.." I whimpered, putting my head on his shoulder.
My shoulders shook up and down as I sobbed in his arms.
Michael rubbed my back.
"I feel so alone, Michael.." I cried.
"I-I.." I could've speak at that point. I started to break down in his arms.
"Shh.." Michael rubbed my back.
"You are not alone, Mia." Michael whimpered.
"I'll always be there for you because I love you." Michael said.
I whimpered, "Don't do this to me, Michael." I cried, letting go of him.
"Please.." I whispered, touching his chest.
Michael leaned in and kissed my cheek. "I'll always be there for you." He said, holding onto my hands.
I bit my lip. "Forever?" I softly asked, raising an eyebrow.
Michael nodded. "Forever."
