(Y/n)'s P.O.V.
The sound of metal banging against metal rings out throughout the market square. The blacksmith must be at work again... I think his name is Ludwig. I ignore the sound and continue looking at the apples.
After picking out the five most perfect ones I can find I pay for them and continue walking around the market place. I want to use dried apple for a special tea I'm making. As I walk past the blacksmiths workshop I feel a pair of eyes on me.
I meet the blue eyes of Ludwig and quickly look away. He turns back to his work and continues beating the piece of metal. His sweat runs down his body making his seem as if he is glistening in the dunking. His muscles clench and tighten with the power he is using. It's hard not to stare.
I realised I have stopped walking and I turn to continue when my name is called out.
"(Y/N), VAIT UP FOR ZHE AWESOME ME!" One of my friends Gilbert yells, running out from behind Ludwig
"Hey Gilbert, you seem more lively than usual." I giggle
"Vell I have good news, turns out my vater has confirmed a marriage for Ludvig." He smiles

"Oh that's right, he's your brother." I reply "Well I wish him luck."
"He's a totally awesome you know, vell not as awesome as me."Gilbert states "He's a blacksmith vhich means a heap ton of money so he vill be able to provide for a family, he's also really nice and actually pretty calm, once you get past zhe training."
"You sound like you want to marry him." I joke
"Pft as if, I'm just excited to finally have you as a sister in law, Ludwig's been asking to marry you for months." He smiles
This causes me to freeze.
"Wait what?" I ask
"Huh?" He replies confused
"What do you mean, have me as a sister in law?" I ask
"Uhhhhhh I don't know what you're talking about, err I think I head vater calling for me." He says trying to escape
"Gilbert I'm not kidding, what do you mean by that?" I glare
"Umm, maybe your parents and my vater set up an arranged marriage..."He says shielding his face from my anger
"WHAT?!" I yell out in anger "How dare they. my parents know that I don't want to get married."
"You can't tell zhem I told you, vater vill murder me." Gilbert begs me
"What do you mean by, 'Ludwig's been asking to marry you'?" I ask
"Vell he has been asking about you for ages, since he saw you in zhe blacksmith workshop picking up a metal pot." Gilbert states
"That was like seven months ago, so he has liked me for all this time?" I ask confused
"Ja, so are you going to accept zhe marriage?" He asks

"No way, I don't want to get married yet, I still have so much I want to do." I rely "Marriage means kids and you I know how I feel about kids."
"Haha yeah, you are totally not awesome vith kids." Gilbert chuckles "Can you do me a favour, please at least go on one date vith Ludwig, he is my little bruder and I want to see him have one date vith someone he likes before he is made to marry with someone else."

"Fine, but only because I understand how much it hurts when you can't be with the one you love." I sigh
"Aww, still heartbroken over that guy who left the village?" Gilbert asks
"Not really anymore, I got over him a few moths ago." I smile
We make it outside my house and hug each other goodbye.
"I zhink your parents vill talk to you tonight about the marriage so good luck for zhat." He chuckles
"Thanks, I'll probably need it." I smile
I walk inside and straight away my mother is on my case.
"Oh (Y/n) you need to get ready."she says
"What for?" I reply
"The Beilschmidts are coming over for dinner, and to discuss something important." My mother replies
I feel my heart sink as I realise that my parents actually want this marriage to happen. But I still have so much I want to do... I want to travel the world and see hundreds of places, I can't do that if I'm married. But how can I argue against my mother and father.
"I understand, I have the apples which you asked me to buy." I say
My mother takes the basket and quickly ushers me to my room, she forces me down into a chair and begins to brush my hair. After she styles it in one of my least favoured styles she pulls out a (f/c) dress and makes me change into it.
I look in the mirror and see a girl who isn't myself. The dress is beautiful but I feel uncomfortable. I don't like the way my hair is styled. I look beautiful but I don't look like myself. I can't fight against my parents...
After an hour there is a knock at our front door. I'm sitting down in the living room where the Belischmidts will come sit. Hopefully I can be seated next to Gilbert as we are close friends.
"Hey (Y/n)!" Gilbert says running in and jumping in the seat next to me
"Won't you be quiet you stupid boy? We are guests." A man with long blond hair says glaring at him
"You look really awesome." Gilbert whispers to me "But also really uncomfortable."
"Oh trust me, I'm uncomfortable" I whisper back
"My name is Alaric, you know my eldest son Gilbert." Alaric states "Zhis is my second son Ludvig."
"This is my daughter (Y/n)." My father introduces me
My parents invite them for dinner and we take out seats around the dining room table. Our food is given to us and Gilbert and I are messing around with each other. Kicking each other under the table and such, I accidentally push my leg to far and kick Ludwig.
Pretending not to have done anything I sip at my drink and Ludwig gives Gilbert a glare thinking he was responsible. His glare towards Gilbert doesn't change throughout dinner which is a little strange, I wonder why he is so upset?
After dinner we head to the living room to talk. My heart is beating so fast right now. But I can't let them know I know.
"So (Y/n) how do you feel about marriage?" My mother asks
"Oh I don't want to get married." I say innocently, Gilbert lets out an almost silent snicker from next to me
"O-oh." My mother stutters at a loss for what to say
"Actually we have arranged a marriage for you." My father says trying to pick up where my mother left off of
"Oh really?" I say leaning back into the couch
My mother's face pales and Gilbert starts fidgeting. Alaric and Ludwig don't know what happened when I get angry but anyone else certainly does.
"(Y/n) we have arranged for you to marry my son." Alaric states
"Gilbert? Are you sure?" I ask pretending not to know
Ludwig begins to fidget as well, he must be really nervous. But I still can't believe he has a crush on me. If we end up going on a date I will have to ask him why.
"Actually, My second oldest Ludvig." Alaric says, loosing some confidence
You can feel the tension in the room.
"So what do you think (Y/n)?" My mother laughs nervously "It would be a great marriage."
"Hmm how about we go on a date first and then see." I say, honouring Gilbert's favour
"Yes I think that is a splendid idea." My mother says smiling
Ludwig looks a little relieved and Gilbert is smiling from ear to ear. Even Alaric looks a little happy. But I feel like my world is slipping away. What happened if I reject the marriage? My parents could kick me out.
After the Beilschmidts leave my mother tells me Ludwig and I will be going out together tomorrow, so I can't even plan my own date.
"You'll meet him by the water fountain tomorrow afternoon." She states "Oh I'm so happy that you'll have someone to take care of you. He's rich you know. Being a blacksmith earns so much money, you'll be able to buy whatever you want."
I ignore my mother and look out the window, what the hell am I supposed to do? Well maybe tomorrow I can make Ludwig fall out of love with me...
*Time skip to the next day*
(Y/n)'s P.O.V.
My mother decided she wanted to plan my outfit for today so now I'm in a (f/c) dress that cuts just under my knees and has long sleeves. It's pretty and floaty but I hate it, I feel so uncomfortable.
I'm waiting by the water fountain and soon enough, a head of blond, slicked back hair enters my field of vision. It's Ludwig. He actually looks really handsome, he's wearing a pair of black pants and a crisp white shirt, along with black shoes. He walks up to me and smiles.
"Guten tag (Y/n)." Ludwig says nervously
(German:Guten tag-Good day)
"Hello Ludwig." I reply
"Y-You look beautiful." He says blushing
"Thank you, you don't look to bad yourself." I smile "So what do you want to do?"
"I heard zhere is going to be a magic performance in zhe town square so do you want to go vatch zhat?" He asks, his blue eyes glistening in hope
"Sure, sounds fun." I answer
He smiles a little bit and we walk to the town square where one of my other friends Arthur is setting up some magic items. He sees us and winks at me, causing Ludwig to glare at him. After he is all set up he begins to perform.
*Time skip to an hour later*
Germany's P.O.V.
The magic performance was fun to watch but I feel nervous the whole time. What if (Y/n) doesn't end up liking me back, or what if she thinks I'm not good enough for her?
She seems to be enjoying herself, but maybe it's because she is friends with Arthur and she likes him already. No she wouldn't like Arthur like that, if anyone it would be Gilbert...
That's right, they are best friends... I feel so jealous of him, it's not fair that he gets all the girls. I mean I really like (Y/n) but I don't want to make her unhappy by forcing her to marry me.
"-wig, Ludwig? Ludwig?" A voice says snapping me out of my thoughts
I turn to (Y/n) who is looking at me curiously.
"Sorry liebe, I got distracted." I say nervously, she blushes at my nickname for her "So do you want to go get lunch?"

"S-Sure, how about that place owned by Feliciano and Lovino?" She offers
"You know Feliciano?" I ask shocked
"Of course, I know almost everyone in this town." She giggles and begins walking to their small restaurant
We enter and Lovino looks up and glares at me.
"What do you want-a potato-bastard?" Lovino says, glaring at me
"Table for two." I reply
"Hmph, I see you have a date." Lovino states, looking (Y/n) up and down "(Y/n)'s to good for you."
"Ve~ Luddy~!" An Italian voice calls out
We turn to see Feliciano carrying a bunch of plates and smiling.
"Lovi~ put them in the couples seat." He states smiling
"Hmph fine, whatever." Lovino states and takes us to our seats
It's a small table with cushioned chairs. There are screens around the outside so you can't see inside or out.
"You look very bella." Lovino says to (Y/n) making me a little jealous

"Damn right I do Lovi." She snickers
"D-Don't call me that!" Lovino exclaims, red with embarrassment "I-I'll bring you some menus."
We are left alone for a few seconds so we take a seat sitting down.
"Umm how do you zhink zhis is going?" I ask (Y/n)
Her (e/c) eyes look up at me and she smiles softly.
"Actually it's really nice." She smiles
"V-Vould you be willing to go on a second one?" I ask blushing
"I-I would lov-" Her voice is cut off by Lovino slamming down menus in the table
"Here's your menus, don't fuck back here, it's to hard to clean!" Lovino states and walks away
We look at the menu but we keep stealing glances at each other.
"You didn't answer my question..." I say quietly
"I would love to, you're so different to what I expected." She giggles, her laughter is music to my ears
"I get that a lot, most people view me as scary and intimidating." I sigh
She moves closer to me and places a soft hand on my back.
"I don't think of you as that way, you're sweet and kind." She smiles
"You really think so?" I ask
She nods and slowly we move our heads closer to each other and ever so slowly our lips touch. My hands go to her waist to pull her closer to me. This is all I have ever asked for, the girl I love to love me back.
"What did I say-a about fucking back here?" A voice interrupts us
Lovino is standing there looking very ticked off. We pull apart and (Y/n) sits back on her seat.
"Are you two ready to order?" He asks
After we place out orders (Y/n) turns to me and smiles.
"Y'know, I wouldn't completely object to marrying you." She says softly
"Really?" I ask, smiling softly
"Yeah, you would be a great husband." She sats, turning red
"Close your eyes." I order and she complies
I take her left hand and push ring into her ring finger. She opens her eyes and sees the silver band around her finger.
"I worked on this for months." I smile "I wanted to use it on someone special."
She smiles at me and pulls me closer to her.
"Well I feel very special." She giggles pressing her lips to mine
She is so warm and sweet, I can't wait to marry her. I have been in love with her for years and now everything is coming together. Nothing will ruin this for me.
"WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT FUCKING?!" A voice screams
Except maybe that.
"Come on Lovino, haven't you ever been kissed?" (Y/n) asks
He turns bring red and almost throws out food down on the table and quickly leaves.
"What's up with him?" I ask
"Heh, he and Antonio had their own thing going." She laughs "Well then, lets eat."
"Ich liebe dich." I whisper into her ear, kissing her cheek

We hold each other and slowly get closer and closer. I finally have (Y/n) and she will become my wife. But I know she wants to travel so I've been saving up money. I just want her to be happy.
