Norway's P.O.V.
It's a curse, these threads of fate or whatever you would call them. Why do I have to be the one to see them? It's not like I asked for magic of any kind but now I'm stuck with it.
It's not like one of those animes that Berwald watches where someone makes a contract with a magical animal or injured unicorn in a forest and they get the ability to fly or what not, but more a stress and anxiety ridden roller coaster of watching people pass their soulmates.
Let me explain, my name is Lukas Bondevik and I come from Norway. I attend school called World academy which brings students from all different countries together. I have a secret power though, I can see what you would call 'People's red strings of fate'.
I can see the connections between people of who their soul mates will be. I call it a curse because it causes me to suffer through seeing other people fall in love. I see when people miss out on love but ultimately they end up together. I have forever been the only person without a thread.
There are two types of threads. A red one on the left ring finger and a blue one on the right index finger. The red one is love, that's why people put wedding rings there. The blue one is for friendship. Aromatic people usually have these ones, it represents the best friend you will ever have. Normally people will only have one but occasionally someone will have both. The brighter a string is the stronger the connection is.
Sometimes the threads can hurt my eyes when they are bright red but I've learned to dull the colour and ignore them. They don't get in the way either. They just wrap more tightly around people as they get closer mentally rather than physically.
The only way to get rid of my curse is to find my soulmate according to old Norse legends but that's very hard to do when you don't know who your soulmate is and you are the only one without a thread to guide you.
Sometimes I like to help people find their soulmates. It takes away from the pain of not having my own. I'll do little annoying things like cut in line so two people will talk about me or bump into someone pushing them into someone else. Maybe every time someone does one of those little annoying things it's them trying to get you with your soulmate...
I'm walking through the long hallways of my school heading to the cafeteria. I hate the food but it's The thing to eat. That stupid Dane really makes me work up an appetite with all his talking and over excitedness.
"Hey Lukas over here!" A voice shouts from one of the lunch tables
"Shut up Mathias, you're too loud." I say sitting down next to him emotionless
"Aww what's wrong Lukas, you seem upset about something." He says wrapping an arm around my shoulders
I follow the string in the edge of his finger across the big, open room to the tall American sitting with some of his friends. Mathias' soulmate is Alfred.F.Jones believe it or not. They both seem like their egos would be to big for each other but they fit together really well. Too bad they're both too scared to reveal their relationship to everyone.
After I get my food which consists of some unknown meat with it really rubbery, a half wrinkled apple and a carton of milk that smells funny I sit down with the rest of my friends and poke at my food.
"You ok there Lukas?" Tino asks me, his violet eyes showing concern
I follow the string on the end of his finger around to the one on the end of Berwald. Who is sitting right next to him.
"I'll be fine, it's really nothing to worry about." I say pulling the meat on my plate apart
I realise that my little brother Emil isn't here and I try to find him in the cafeteria, he is talking to them boy from Hong Kong again, Leon I think his name was... It took Mathias forever to convince me to let them date.
"Hey did you hear we have a new student?" Tino asks snapping me out of my thoughts
"Really? Who?" Mathias asks excitedly
"He's from Romania. Apparently he is a vampire!" Tino whisper shouts
"Are you really believing that?" Berwald asks looking up from his apple
"I'm sorry, I just get a bit carried away!" Tino laughs, holding Berwald's hand in his
I can only imagine what that must feel like. The bell for lunch to end goes and we clear up our trays and head to out lockers. I feel strange tingle in my hand but when I look down there is nothing there, must just be pins and needles.
I make my way to my mythology class where I'm the only from my friends in it. They don't have the same appreciation for magic and mythology as I do. I take my seat and the teacher walks in with a boy about my age behind him. He has medium length strawberry blond hair and and red eyes. I can see fangs in his smile but they don't look sharp. He looks stunning and he takes my breath away. No I can't think like this, he would have a soulmate already.
"Good afternoon class." My teacher Mr.Blue greets "This is a new student from Romania. Care to introduce yourself?"
"Thank you." The Romanian boy says in a very obvious accent "My name is Vladimir Popescu, but you can call me Vlad. I hope we can be friends."
The teacher asks him to take a seat next to me. The seats em are the only ones available because belles don't want to sit with me. According to them I'm creepy because I never show any emotion.
That's when I notice it... he doesn't have a thread...
"Hey it's nice to meet you." He says taking a seat next to me and holds his hand out for me or snake it
I shake his hand and introduce myself. There is am electric shock when we touch and I see something fuzzy around his fingers. I can't make it out though as the teacher begins the lesson.
Romania's P.O.V.
The boy sitting next to me takes my breath away, how can someone look so perfect? He's tall and lean with short blond hair and crystal clear blue eyes. He had a cross clip in his hair with a floating curl.
He is really cute and not to mention he looks smart. I kinda want to get to k ow him.
"Hey Lukas, where are you from?" I ask
"Oslo, Norway. You're from Romania right?" He asks
"Yeah I am, hey later can you show me around? I don't know anything about this school." I smile
"I guess, I'll also help you join a club if you want." He says emotionless
"Thank you." I smile turning back to my work
I think I'll make it my goal to see him smile.
Norway's P.O.V.
After class I found out his locker is right next to mine so I can see him even more.
"Hey Lukas, do you know any good clubs to join?" I ask him
"Well if you're interested in magic there is the hellfire club, I've been meaning to leave my club and join that one but I've never gotten around to doing it." I say
"Well want to join together?" He asks
"I guess, I can show you the way." I say stoically
In the hallway I run into Mathias and Alfred about to shove their tongue down each other's throats.
"Oh h-hey Lukas." Mathias says laughing nervously
"I'm leaving the Nordic club." I say bluntly
This catches him by surprise and he pulls a little away from Alfred.
"What? Why?" He asks
"I want to join the magic club." I answer
He notices Vlad behind me and narrows his eyes a little but then smirks.
"Oh I see, you picked up a new interest~" he smirks looking at Alfred who seems to have realised something as well
"You have fun dude." Alfred says winking at us and they leave
"Umm who were they?" Vlad asks as we begin waking again
"Mathias and Alfred, they're soulmates." I reply
"Soul mates?" He asks confused
"Don't worry about it." I say "Here we are."
We arrive outside of the magic club doors and I open them. Inside I can see some magic creatures around a boy who is reading a spell book. His green eyes look up at us a little confused.
"Good afternoon gentlemen, can I help you?" He asks
"Are you the leader of the magic club?" Vlad asks
"Indeed I am, Arthur Kirkland, pleasure to meet you." He says standing up and walking to us
"We want to join your club." I say
"Really?" He asks happily
"Yes, I'm Lukas Bondevik and this is Vladimir Popescu." I introduce
"Well I'll sign you up right now, you two seem like fine chaps for this club. Unlike that blasted American." He says
During the first meeting we just get to know each other. Apparently the magic club was going to shut down due to a lack of participants but we saved the club. I'm kind of happy, I didn't want to leave the Nordic club alone because I was scared about everyone's reactions.
I would have been sad if it shut down because t means I wouldn't have been able to pursue what I love. Now I have two new friends and I don't need to deal with that annoying Dane every day.
I feel more tingling around my finger and I look down to see a small red thread around the tip of my left ring finger. I follow the small thread to the top of Vlad's finger. My breath catches in my throat and I try to swallow some spit. I can't believe this... I have a string of fate...
Well I'm not complaining about who it is, Vlad seems amazing and he is really handsome. But how do I know he won't reject me because I'm horrible at showing emotion. Well I guess there is only one way to find out, befriend him and then confess. Easier said than done.
*Time skip to a few weeks later*
Romania's P.O.V.
I sit quietly as I wait for Lukas I'm the magic club. Today is the day I confess to him. Arthur is out sick today so it means we are going to be alone. I talked to the magic creatures and they agreed to go mess with some of the other clubs and leave us alone.
Over the past few weeks Lukas and I have become really close. I've seen the faintest of smiles on his lips. I've told him about my brother and family. He comes and talks to me a lot. Despite looking emotionless on the outside he talks about his feeling a lot with me.
Sometimes annoyance towards Mathias, sometimes happiness when he gets his little brother to call him storebror, sometimes anger to how he hasn't found a 'soulmate' yet. Come to think of it he talks about soulmates a lot.

I wonder what he means by soulmate? Does he mean two people he likes together? Or is there something more to it? Would he classify me as his soulmate? I would like him to be mine...
I hear the door open and in walks Lukas looking as emotionless as ever. I grasp the rose behind my back tighter.
"Hello Lukas, Arthur is sick today so it's just us." I say smiling
"I see, well then what should we do?" He asks taking a seat
"Actually I want to talk to you." I answer taking a deal breath in "D-Do you like anyone?"
"What? Of course I do." He asks confused "Do I really not show enough emotion that people, can't tell if I'm their friend?"
"N-no I mean do you like anyone?" I correct
"Oh. Uhh yeah I do but they don't like me back." He answers looking down
"How do you know?" I ask
"Well he only treats me as a friend and never tries to get close to me." Lukas answers
"Like this?" I ask moving my chair closer to him and pulling my body towards him
On his pale cheeks I see a faint blush and a tiny smile.
"Y-Yeah..." he agrees
"Can I know who it is?" I ask, looking into his clear blue eyes
"I don't know..." He replies
"Do I know them?" I ask placing one of my hands on the side of his chair.
"More or less..." He replies looking away
I softly hand him the rose I picked and he blushes a lot more. As he looks up to meet me in the eyes I press my lips to his soft ones. Immediately he kisses back wrapping his arms already my neck.
"It's me isn't it?" I ask
"Yeah it is, I love you Vlad." He says faintly smiling
"I love you too, ever since I come to this school." I whisper
