The next day: Austin's POV
I watched as Weiss and Yang were fighting some rather odd people. A rainbow skater and a terrible musician. They were losing to say tge least.
Austin: Come on you two. Fight!
Yang was getting mad at her opponent.
Yang: Shut up!
Yang was getting pissed and used her semblance to destroy the terrible musician. That's my girl. The skater just tripped. The hell did I just watch? I went to graduate them.
Austin: Gongrats love.
Yang: Thanks cutie.
I blushed a little.
A couple hours later.
We were back at the arena when Yang was about to fight Mercury. They both clashed fists and feet. It reminded me of my fights with Lord Shaxx. After a long battle she eventually won. I was proud of her.
Yang: Well. Better luck next time.
He got back up. Didn't he just get hurt.
Mercury: There won't be a next time.
Oh hell no!
As I was getting up, she punched his leg breaking it when we noticed that he was in the exact spot. I'm confused.
Ghost: I saw her attack him Austin!
Austin: No. He was gonna kill her!
???: Yang Xiao Long! Get down!
Mercury: Why did she do that!? Why did she attack me?
I think I have an idea of what happened.
Austin: Ghost. What's the limitations of semblances in Remnant?
Ghost: Very little to none.
Austin: Did he use his semblance at all?
Ghost: He did not.
Austin: He had to have done something to trigger her. I'm wondering if his semblance allowed him to control her actions temporarily.
Ghost: It would explain what you both saw.
Emerald: Somebody help him.
Yang: You don't understand. He attacked me I swear!
Austin: Yang! Just do what they say. We'll discuss it alright.
We were walking to our dorms with Atlas military behind us.
Yang: Austin. You believe me right?
I held her hand.
Austin: I saw it too Yang. I believe you.
We got in our dorm to see Ironwood waiting.
Ironwood: We'll have to disqualify your team fir that stunt.
Yang: It wasn't a stunt. He attacked me first!
Austin: She's right. It was his semblance.
Ironwood: Millions of viewers say otherwise.
Weiss: Yang would never do that.
Ironwood: I hope to believe this nothing more than a result of stress and adrenaline.
Stress and arenaline does not force someone to do that.
Yang: But I wasn't-
Ironwood: Thats enough!
I stood up to face him in full armor.
Austin: You back away!
We stared for a while.
Ironwood: The sad truth is, whether it was an accident or an assault, it doesn't matter. The world saw you attack an innocent student. They've already drawn their own conclusions. And it's my job to inform you that... you are disqualified.
Yang: You guys believe me right?
Ruby: Duh.
Weiss: You're hot headed but not heartless.
Blake was silent.
Yang: Blake?
She looked away.
Austin: You know she wouldn't do that.
Blake: I had someone very dear to me change. It wasn't in an instant, it was gradual - little choices that began to pile up. He told me not to worry. At first they were accidents, then it was self-defense. Before long, even I began to think he was right. This is all just... very familiar. But you're not him. And you've never done anything like this before. So... I want to trust you. I will trust you. But first, I need you to look me in the eyes and tell me that he attacked you. I need you to promise me that you regret having to do what you did.
Yang was crying so I held her on my lap.
Yang: I saw him attack me, so I attacked back.
Blake: Okay. Thank you.
Yang: I think I'm gonna rest up.
Blake: We'll let you be.
The girls left. As I was about to leave, she cried. I turned around and hugged her. I felt tears on my shoulders as she cried a little. We watched the match on Yang's scroll. It was Pyrrah vs Penny. The fight was good but Pyrrah dismantled Penny. What's goings on? The arena went red.
???: This is not a tragedy. This is not an accident. This is what happens when you hand over your trust. Your safety. Your children. The men that claim to be your guardians. They are in reality nothing more than men.
Ghost: Guardians?
Alarms were going off about Grimm attack.
Yang: We need to find Ruby!
Austin: Let's go! Ghost! Sunbreaker and Raze-Lighter!
Ghost: Done. And Austin.
Austin: What?
Ghost: The darkness is weighing us down. The same darkness from the Hellmouth. If you die you will not be resurrected.
Oh thats assuring to tell me.
Austin: Thanks
We ran through the dorms.
Yang: Blake. Is Ruby with you?
Blake: No she's not.
Yang was clenching her fists.
Blake: Yang. She's alright. She's our leader, she can take care of herself.
We noticed some White Fang along with some Grimm.
Yang: We gotta go. We'll meet at the courtyard.
I sliced every Grimm in half as Yang punched every White Fang member out of our way to the courtyard. We got to the courtyard and found everyone we knew but Ruby and Blake. A paladin ran our way as I charged at it and sliced it vertically in half with one swipe.
Austin: Damn this things good.
Yang: Where's Blake?
Weiss: She chased down an Alpha. And some White Fang.
Yang and I ran to find Blake on the ground stabbed by a man in a Black robe.
Yang: Stay away from her!
He slashed her hand off as she fell to the ground unconscious
Austin: No. No. No! NO!!
Oryx came back into my mind.
Oryx: You are not worthy to face me!
I wanted to kill him.
He must die. He must die. He must die! He must die! HE MUST DIE! HE MUST DIE!!!!!!
Austin: YOU BASTARD!!!
???: You will die as well.
I grabbed Raze-Lighter and dashed at him.
Austin: BURN IN HELL WITH CROTA!!
???: Crota?
He tried to block my attack but it was enough for I put all my stength into it. Raze-Lighter broke his sword and impaled him through his chest. He fell to his knee as I grabbed the Last Word.
Blake: Austin?
Powpowpowpowpowpowpowpow!
I emptied the entire clip into his chest causing him to cough up blood.
Blake: Austin stop!
I pulled my arm back to summon the Hammer of Sol and finished him off with an uppercut to the face lighting him on fire and ending his life. I walked up to Yang to see her bleeding. I took off the armor to take off my shirt to put around her wrist. I picked her up and started crying.
Austin: I'm so sorry Yang.
Ruby and the others walked towards us.
Austin: I failed you love.
Ren and Nora put their hand on my shoulders as I cried in pain. A giant nevermore circled us.
Sun: We gotta get out of here. Now!
Austin: No.
Sun: What?! Are you insane?
I put Yang down next to Blake and pulled out Gjallarhorn and took aim.
Austin: I am now.
I fired. And fired. And fired. The rockets decimated the creature but I kept firing as it flew down.
Sun: Dude. Its dead! Stop!
I just kept firing.
Austin: DIE!!!
They were shocked. Yang woke up.
Yang: A-Austin.
Austin: Y-Yes Yang?
Yang: I see him.
Austin: Who?
Yang: The... The... The Traveller.
No! She's going to die! She went limp.
I saw the Mote of Light I had from the Speaker glow bright. As I pulled it out it opened up to see a yellow and a red ghost. The ghost went to Yang and scanned her and digitally removed her as the red one went to my pocket.
Sun & Blake: What's going on Austin?
Austin: She was worthy of the light.
Blake: What?
Austin: She's becoming a-.
A spark of light appeared in front of us and Yang appeared with both hands.
Yang: W-What happened?
Austin: You're alive!
I hugged her tightly and cried.
Yang: It's okay young wolf.
I just smiled.
Nora: Austin! What's going on?!
Yang: What happened to me?
Austin: I'll tell you later but for now we need to get going.
We left to Yang and Ruby's home. When we saw Ruby, the red Ghost forced out of my pocket and scanned her as well. Beacon was destroyed. Overtaken by Grimm. Weiss went back to Atlas and Blake ran off. Pyrrah and Ozpin were killed during Beacon's Destruction.
The Tower: 3rd Person POV
Speaker: It is time.
Ikora: What is time Speaker?
Speaker: The Traveller has created two living Guardians.
Cayde-6: Living Guardians huh? Good one.
Zavala: Cayde! What do you mean by living Guardians?
Speaker: The Traveller has found two worthy Guardians through a lone
Ikora: Where are they Speaker?
Ikora recieved the coordinates from the Speaker and proceeded to the Hall of Guardians.
Ikora: We will send a Hunter and a Warlock to retrieve them. We will get our Guardians back!
