"Hey babe." I called out from the kitchen.
Shawn just got home from being in the studio all day long so you could really see how tired he was once he got in the apartment. But instead of greeting me back, he just sat on the couch and turned the tv on. I sat beside him and he just moved away.
"What's wrong, Shawn?" I asked him.
"Nothing." He grumbled.
I stood up, went behind him and massaged his back but instead of being grateful that I was helping him, he jerked his shoulders away from me.
"I swear to God, Shawn. What the hell's wrong? You've been so distant lately." I said slamming my hands on the cushions.
He stood up without a word and walked away. I couldn't help but groan in annoyance at how he's acting. Here I am, trying to help him yet he throws this attitude back to be instead of talking it out. I pulled his arm and he sent me an irritated look.
"You know what, you're what's wrong! Your clingy ass is the fucking problem! You're so irritating and you always try to get attention! I know you're only dating me because of the fame! You were never even there for me! You don't love me, only my money!" He yelled at me.
My jaw dropped at what he said and I just stared at him in disbelief. Tears blocked my vision but I tried my best to hold them back until I eventually gave up. I don't know whether I should just stand here and look helpless or kick his ass but his words stung too much to do the latter/ Does he really feel that way?
"y/n... y/n, I'm sorry, baby. I didn't mean it." He apologized when he finally realized what he just said.
He moved forward to hug me but I pushed him away.
"Not there for you? Ha! I've been with you every single time. I put up with you when you're drunk even though you were literally spilling your guts everywhere! I even forgave you when you cheated because you looked so freaking sorry for your own actions! I took care of you when you were sick and even risked getting sick as well to help your sorry ass! I even turned down the job offer I got because I didn't want to do something that could prevent us from seeing each other! I was there for every step of the way. I was there for you and we weren't together for 45% of that time. You say I don't love you but I put up with everything you did! You've been making mistakes and I forgave you. Now you say I'm only using you because of your cash when I was just trying to be a good fiancée?!" I spat at him.
He tried to walk closer once more yet I took a step back. I raised my hand and before I knew it, my palm made harsh contact with his cheek. I immediately ran to the bedroom and shut the door behind me. I jumped on the bed before crying into the pillows and covered myself up with the blankets.
"Babe?" Shawn asked, the sound of the door closing behind him rang throughout the room as his footsteps got closer.
He sat beside my side of the bed but I turned around and faced the other way.
"I'm sorry, baby. I was just... stressed from spending the whole day at the studio and I took it out on you." He said placing a hand on my waist.
I just moved away from his touch. He sighed and took the covers off me. I just stayed there and cried onto the pillow. I could feel his arms around me but then, pulled away... again.
"y/n... I'm sorry, okay? Please forgive me... even though I don't deserve it." He said placing a hand on my arm. "I'm so sorry I yelled. I know you were just being a good girlf... fiancée... Ugh. I swear I'm still getting tongue tied over that word... Anyways, I know I've been a pain. I'm really, really sorry. I know you're not using me for anything. I'm such an ass. I don't deserve to love someone as amazing as you."
I felt the bed dip from behind me which obviously meant that he's lying behind me. I turned around to face him and he was crying too. He wiped the tears my cheek with of his thumb and held my waist closer to him. I moved closer to him and nuzzled my face onto his chest as he wrapped his arms around me.
"I forgive you, Shawn. Just don't fuck up again or else you'll lose me... again." I said into his chest. "Sorry for slapping you, by the way."
"I deserved it. I love you so much y/full/n." He sighed.
"I love you too, Shawn Peter Raul Mendes."
"I can't wait until the day I marry you."
I couldn't help but smile at his words before kissing him.
