Chapter 23 - Pushing
V is an optimistic guy that anticipates the best possible outcome. He is inclined to shrug bad things off from him and look into the positive side of a certain situation. A guy like him would still say good things to a person who annoys him as much as possible, than, releasing awful words.
"What we had? We never had any kind of relationship as far as I can recall."
J-Hope chortled, "I am your first love, Kim Taehyung. Aren't I?"
"J-Hope." V called for his name again, "I have a boyfriend."
The other laughs with sarcasm, "I'm late.. as always." He let out a big sigh and continues, "I like you since back then, but, you and Jimin left me."
"We didn't. You know I needed to move to a closer school where my parents work."
"But-"
"I told Jimin about that and he planned to move as well, we wanted to tell you about it but we were afraid that you'll stop us from leaving." V giggled, "I consider you as my favorite friend, and I hope we can be friends, still."
"Fine, fine."
"Yah! Are you mad at me?"
"But who's your boyfriend? Is it.. Jimin?"
"What?" V respond with a shocked expression, "No!"
"Then who?"
"Jungkook. The guy I introduced to you."
"Woah, he's very pretty to be your boyfriend." J-Hope smiles genuinely, "Fine. I'm approving your relationship since he is really pretty."
"He is more than pretty." V smiles back with a glow within his eyes.
"Then what kind of relationship do you have with Jimin?"
"Huh? We're just friends."
"I don't think so."
"Yes, we are."
"You two looked more than friends, imagine, Jimin going wherever you're going." J-Hope said.
Both of them are indeed inseparable since middle school, Jimin would always follow V wherever and whenever. Maybe V doesn't sees Jimin's actions but the people around them observes how much efforts Jimin puts in their friendship or somehow special relationship. The smaller boy always gives V what this taller boy needed.
"I'm going now." J-Hope says as V didn't reply to what he said before.
"What do you mean by going? You're going back to your hometown?"
"Yup." J-Hope laughs softly, "I was planning to extend if you'll say you love me but I guess I'm unlovable."
"Yah! It's not like that!" V pushed the elder male's chest, "You'll meet someone who deserves you better."
"I hope so." J-Hope chuckled, "Say Jimin that I said goodbye."
"Alright."
J-Hope and V made a quick embrace before letting J-Hope ride a bus, V waved his hands goodbye for one last time for his old friend. J-Hope couldn't help but shed little tears as he rides on the bus seeing V waving a hand on him as a goodbye, he never regret that he fell in love with this sweet friend. V is his sweetest heartbreak, it wasn't really hurtful to hear V having a boyfriend, instead, he felt glad that V founded his happiness and now maybe it's time to let go of his feelings for the boy. He needs to start moving on to be able to welcome new things coming to his life.
Coming to the city gave him a reason after all, having the chance to give a proper goodbye to his friend and leaving his feelings. As he takes a ride back to his hometown, his chest feels free and out of disappointment. Maybe, the world made them meet on purpose to be able to confess his feelings he had be hiding before and the chance to get rejected.
It wasn't painful, it was an eye opener for new things.
Probably, V was just a romantic love that he just felt as a teenager that is not considered to be a real love.
As soon as V arrived home, he makes a call to his boyfriend telling that he got home safely. Jungkook cut the call since he's eating that time. V sent a text message--like what he always do--saying goodnight to the younger male.
The next day.
V shared Jungkook the story of him and J-Hope before, that they were close friends with Jimin. He even told that he once loved that boy, it was a good thing that his boyfriend is an open-minded person and can understand him very well. Hoseok left and went back to his hometown, V told his boyfriend and added that no need to worry. He is a loyal man, he implied.
"Jeon Jungkook."
"What?"
"Let's go to an amusement park!" V sounded more than excited, "I haven't gone there for a long time."
"I don't want to." Jungkook teased the other while giggling after saying those words.
"Yah!"
"Fine. If that's what makes you happy."
Jungkook came inside his class with Jin waiting for him at the front side of the class where the door is located, the younger male almost lost his breath in shock of seeing the elder male standing like a ghost.
"Why are you standing there!?" Jungkook asked with an angry tone.
Jin grins and replies, "I was waiting for you."
"You don't have to, Jin." Jungkook walks to sit on his chair. Jin followed and sits on the chair at the younger male's back.
"Ah really." Jin chuckled, "You became more rude to me when you had a boyfriend."
"I'm not, really."
"Fine. I wish you can be sweet to me just like what you are to V." Jin replied with a hint of jealousy. He remembers Jimin ordering him to prevent his bestfriend as much as possible.

Weekend came fast and they went to an amusement park. V was enjoying, getting to hold Jungkook's hand. They waited in line to get their tickets and went inside, the elder male observes how many people came since it's a weekend.
"Let's go to the haunted house!" Jungkook said with an excitement seen in his eyes.
"Yah! We'll just waste our time there!" V stuttered, disagreeing with Jungkook's idea.
"Let's go!" Jungkook exclaimed, clinging onto V's arm but then V really hates going to haunted houses, he never went inside at haunted houses and would rather wait outside.
"Let's just ride those!" V pointed the coasters with three loops.
"Yahhh!" Jungkook screamed his lungs out, jumping into V's arms. V, on the other hand, is totally enjoying it. He was laughing his head off, watching Jungkook getting scared like that.
"Why are you laughing?!" Jungkook stared at V, leaning away from him.
For the last big loop of the coaster, the two shouted in unison. Jungkook closed his eyes, holding more onto V's body. V tightened his grip onto Jungkook's arm.
"That was scary." Jungkook sighed and badly wanted to go home. He didn't think he would make it alive.
V was still laughing his head off, holding his tummy. He was teasing the younger male.
They went to ride a carousel, after, they grabbed some light lunch to fill their empty stomachs. Without resting, the two continued walking around the park, looking for their next ride.
V pulled the younger into a roller coaster ride once again. This time is with no loops, but, it moves backwards.
"I hope you'll get dizzy as well." Jungkook cursed in whisper, he felt like a bad boyfriend as he realized what he had just said.
"Are you still fine?"
"Yup." The younger male answered, nodding then he went on ahead the line for the ride.
"How in the hell can he survive this traumatic ride?" Jungkook thought while smiling.
He thought that the rides with coasters are over, he was wrong, V forced him to ride to another one. He feels like he can collapse after. The younger male was scared that his boyfriend might get mad at him if he doesn't join the latter.
"This is so much fun!" V said.
"You're really enjoying it." Jungkook replied that sounded like an insult.
Jungkook and V came out from their latest ride, both of them were panting.
Jungkook asks the elder male, "Can we go to the haunted house?"
"What?"
"I've rode the rides you wanted. So, can we go to what I like this time?" Jungkook asked with a smile.
V nodded and answers, "Fine."
Jungkook ran so fast, dragging V but V was losing his grip on Jungkook, leaving him alone.
"Where's V?" Jungkook asked himself. He looked in his left then to his right, and to his back.
