Isha's POV
"Daaadddd! " I yelled from the room
"What" His voice came
"I'm not getting anything" I whined going out from the room towards kitchen.
"On what topic? " He asked
"Of course how to be at office on first day" I stated
"Hah! Very simple. Strict face and being a boss" He said
"Not at all. Be friendly Isha. Employees love that" Mom's voice came and I looked at her.
"Never. Don't let them over power you Isha. Remember you're the boss" He argued
"Really! And who did over power me Mr. Mittal" Mom asked folding her hands and dad looked at her and then at the pancakes he was making.
"Pancakes! They're your favorite" Dad said showing the pan while mom smirked
"Of course my favorite" Mom sighed looking at dad... Dad's eyes.
Yeah, she's still obsessed with them!
"Baani, Isha's looking" Dad said and I smirked
"So what! I'm looking at my property" She stated and I chuckled
"Ah, Baani! My pancakes will burn" He further told and that caught mom's attention.
"Well, Isha. It's your first day and see, you're the boss so no one's going to come to you and say on your face that they don't like you" She said looking at dad as it was indirect taunt for him while he took the breakfast to table.
"So, be a little friendly & little strict. Friendly while talking about anything other then work and really strict when talking about work. Okay" She added and I smiled nodding while we both took our seats at dining table.
"Princess, just be yourself. Nothing else. And yes, your mini fridge there is full" He said and I grinned.
"Thankyou dad. I love you" I said and he smiled and we had our breakfast.
"I'll.. Leave. Bye" I added hugging them and as soon as I reached the main gate I saw Aayush uncle.
"You didn't even call me" He narrowed his eyes
"Well, I was going to come there." I told
"Ahan! And why so? Wanted to see someone. Well, he wasn't at home." He smirked
"Who he? Vivaan bhai? " I asked and he hit his forehead lightly.
"Mihir" He said
"Oh, we've a meeting in morning. So he must've left for office. I know his plans before hand " I blabbered and then looked at him shutting my eyes.
Shit!
"Very well" He smirked
"Aayush uncle" I whined while he chuckled opening the car's door for me.
"So, first day? " He asked as he drove.
"I'm nervous. What if no one likes me? I mean.. Dad & mom, they've already raised the bar as bosses" I told
"Then break the bars." He said
"It isn't that easy" I frowned
"Ishu, we all know that you're going to do amazing! And it's gonna be a very long journey. So give it an amazing kick start. And then first project you'll be handling as the CEO is itself going to be so big" He said and I smiled as my phone pinged.
I'm gonna reach there in ten minutes. Don't be late. I don't entertain late comers.

That's my office you're talking about Mr. Malhotra. So, bear it now!
I wrote back!
"Ahm... So chatting and all" Aayush uncle smirked and I looked at him.
"Ah what" I asked & he chuckled.
"Nothing. Live the phase. Just don't tell your dad. He's...bore" He said and we both laughed.
"Hey, he's my dad. You can't say like that" I dramatically protested
"He's my Best friend before you were even born" He mocked while I smirked
"Ask him, whom he loves more" I said and he looked at me and we both raised our brows.
"Okay, Baani" We both said at the same time and laughed as the office building came and he parked the car inside.
"Media" I mumbled as I saw them.
"Ready to handle them. Or should I? " He asked
"I will" I told and he nodded coming out of the car handing the keys to the watchman and I too opened the door of my side and instantly was surrounded by media.
"Ms. Mittal , congratulations to you. B & M have got the new CEO" The reporters wished and I smiled.
"Thankyou" I thanked
"So, what are your strategies going to be" One of them asked
"Well, to work as hard as I can" I replied
"Your parents have been one of these business people. Will you able to hold the same position" A question was shot and Aayush uncle was about to speak when I stopped him.
"Why to hold the same position. I'm sure my parents will be very much happy if I make my own in this business world. And I'll try my best to make one. I'm not here to be Mr. Kabeer & Baani Mittal's daughter. I want world to call them as Isha Mittal's parents. " I said and everyone their nodded.
Okay! That's enough for one day right!
Lemme leave!
"How was working in Abeer Malhotra's company" Someone asked
Aren't the questions going to end! And I'm very sure the next question is going to be something personal!
"Got to learn really lot. And everyone knows working in K & M is a dream" I told
" And we lost an asset" A voice came and everyone turned around.
There he was in all his glory, wearing a dark blue tuxedo.
And the whole media turned to him!
Fan following duh!
He's media's favorite person after all!
I've seen this in six months!
"Mr. Malhotra. One question.. " A media person said while he nodded and then looked at me and gesturing me to go inside.
That's when I undertood what he did right now!
I looked at him and nodded and then went away while Aayush uncle looked at me.
"Knight in the shining armor" He whispered and I looked away hiding my smile.
God stop smiling Isha!
He chuckled and wished me luck after which I bid him bye and went inside.
As soon as the security guard opened the door, I heard applauses.
"Welcome Madam" Everyone said and a party cracker popped just near me and I flinched as I stepped a bit back while my foot entangled with another and I was falling back.
"Ouch" I shrieked but before I could fall, two arms supported me.
"Great start Ms. Mittal" He mumbled as he made me stand properly.
"Are you okay madam?" Maria, my secretary asked
"Ah, yes!" I muttered
"History repeating itself" Aunt Emily spoke and I looked at her and then realisation hit me.
"Ah...what? " Mihir asked
"No.. Nothing" I said and moved ahead.
"God, you people scared me! Yet this is so cute. Thank you everyone. Will cut the speeches short and simple. We're family. Work family. And what family does is to suport each other. That's what I want. We've to make B & M, the best and it's position should just rise and shine. So, I'll always be there if anyone needs any helps related to work but in return I want 1000% results from you. Clear? " I asked
"Yes madam" Voice in unsion came.
"Thank you. Back to work now" I commanded and soon everyone disperesed.
I looked around the whole office and the memories of this office building came in front which were enoromous.
From toddling days till teenage, I remember coming here with dad & mom.
I looked at Mihir who was looking at everyone while...
Well, why is every woman looking at him.
God, they're so shameless... Oggling him like this.
I coughed a little to show my presence, especially to the person who was looking at everything and everyone amused.
"Maria" I said but no reply came.
"Maria, the sced.. " I spoke turning around just to find her looking at Mihir without a blink.
"Mariaaa" I screamed in her ear and she flinched
"Ah.. Yes. Yes madam" She mumbled
"The schedule for today" I demanded and she nodded handing me the same.
"Well, this one meeting is going to last long" I said looking at Mihir who was already looking at me.
I raised my brow when he too did the same.
"What? " I asked
"Seems like it's going to last forever" He said and looked at him confused.
"Ah, nothing. My team is here. And, Well, you see I've many works to do. I've some video conferences to attend to." He stated
"So? " I asked
"So, get to the work Isha" He huffed and I nodded chuckling.
"Maria, I want the heads of real estate department, Finance department, infrastructure & designers here in five minutes" I instructed and she nodded
"Madam, you're the head of finance itself" She said
"Oh yeah. Sorry" I bit my tongue while she smiled nodding.
"Maria, connect to my office too" Mihir told her & she looked at him again with dreamy eyes.
Does she want to get fired?
Really Isha! Jealous are we?
Oh please! Not at all!
"Isha" Mihir snapped his finger and I looked around to find Maria already gone.
"Ah, have a seat Mr. Malhotra" I smirked and he raised his brow with an amused smile on his face.
"So kind of you Ms. Mittal" He replied and I chuckled.
"Okay, now Isha. Full concentration here" He told pointing the file and I nodded.
After five minutes, the department heads were present in the conference room and the team of K & M too . I looked at everyone.
There were the board members present.
And it included, Mom, dad, Aayush uncle and others including the board members of K & M that had Abeer uncle & Meera aunt too!
Will I be able to do it?
It's my first project as CEO.
What if... I mess it up!
What will these all think about me that their new boss, is unable to handle a single deal.
I was thinking all this when my phone vibrated.
I looked at it to find a message... From him.
Stop thinking so much Isha! Just remember that how you have handled three deals in my company! You're rock star. Go for it!
A smile came on my face and I looked at him while he blinked his eyes giving me an assurance.
"Good morning Ladies & Gentlemen. I'm very glad to announce that our company, under me is going to have it's first massive project i.e. a super speciality hospital in Jaipur. The former CEO, Baani Bajaj, had this idea in her mind and I'm lucky to give it the shape. The more good thing is, we've world's one of the renowned company with us as a partner in this, K & M. Thankyou Mr. Malhotra, I assure you this is going to the be the finest hospital, not only in India but Asia " I said and he gave a brief nod but that small smile didn't' go unnoticed by me.
"So, let's just start over with discussions. Mr. Malhotra? " I asked and he again nodded, standing up doing the button of his coat and came near me.
"K & M is working with your company for the first time. And I want 110% of this company because my company is going to give it's best" He said and everyone in the room nodded.
"So here's what my team and I have made.. " he started saying and continued his presentation and of course this was very amazing.
"That's it. We're looking forward for your ideas" He said looking at me and I took a deep breath.
"So first of all...this was seriously amazing " I stated and the people on the screen smiled while that one person looked at me with a I don't express face.
After that I started giving my presentation covering the area, land, infrastructure etc which had already been completed as work. And added all the points important for them to invest.
"Well, this is really amazing Ms. Mittal. We're glad that you're on this chair. These ideas are brilliant. Is there anyone who has denials for this? " One of the board member asked and everyone denied.
I smiled looking at them.
"We all are also approving this one Mihir" Abeer uncle said and I passed him a smile.
"Okay then. Let's finalize everything" Mihir spoke and I nodded.
"Thankyou everyone. Legal papers are ready and signed. The constructions are almost completed. The work of interior designers are left and of an HR. We'll get along with this " I announced and a round of applause was there
After some more discussions and assigning the works to our respective teams, I looked at everyone.
"I want the details from every departments in two days. Disperse" I commanded and after it everyone left the conference room.
I looked at Mihir who stood up from his chair and looked at me with a small smirk on his face while I grinned.
And I ran to him hugging him.
"Damn, I did that! I did it. " I exclaimed while he chuckled hugging me back.
Damn, how can this feel so good!
Shut up Isha!
What are you doing! What he might think!
I pulled myself back and looked everywhere but at him.
"Aa, I didn't have any doubts though you know. I knew you'll do it" He said and I smiled looking at him.
"This one is going to massive Mihir My first project as CEO" I whispered and he nodded.
"And for that we both have to work hard. Remember Isha, the more you give yourself to work, the much more it'll return you back. And never, never feel afraid of anything. Never be nervous" he told and I nodded.
"It was the first time. Everyone was present. Board members were there " I said
"You did amazing. More then anyone would've imagined from a new CEO" he assured
"And that's because you gave me chances to handle the projects in your company. Thank you Mihir" I thanked and looked at him while he looked at my eyes.
"What? " I asked
"Your eyes" He whispered and I looked at him with a surprised look
"I mean your left eye has something on it" He added and I touched there but found nothing.
"Ah yes. Removed" He told and I shrugged when there was a knock on the door.
"In" I ordered
"Mam, sir, should I send coffee for you? " Maria asked
"Yes Maria. Two cups. One latte and one Espresso" I told and she nodded.
"What are doing tonight Isha? " He asked after our coffees came.
"Ah, nothing. Why? " I asked
"Ammm, I was thinking if you can become my tour guide in your city, you know everything about here, you can tell me everything and then we'll have dinner" He said in one go and what catch my ears was the last line.
"Are you asking me on a date Mr. Malhotra? " I asked and he looked at me shocked.
"What. No. I just said, since we'll be you know seeing night life of Jaipur, we'll have dinner outside of course. So... " He was saying when I chuckled
"Is that's so Mr. Malhotra? " I smirked
"First of all. You stop calling me that!" He groaned and I laughed.
"I would've loved to show you my Jaipur. But, you might have forgot. Your dinner is today at my mansion. " I reminded him and he nodded.
"It just slept out of my mind" He told sighing when I smiled
"How about tomorrow? And... We can have lunch. You see, after seeing day life of Jaipur, We'll of course do lunch outside" I smirked and he huffed
"You know what? You're a devil. " He said and I giggled
"Yet the devil makes the amazing coffee." He told looking at the cup of his coffee and I passed him a small smile.
"It's already three Mihir. Let's have lunch " I asked
"Have to go to my branch here too. Moreover, lunch with you have been fixed tomorrow. Remember, I eat just according to my diet " He said with a small smirk and I smirked more.
"I'll make you eat the most amazing food you would've ever had. And, pure desi! You'll break your diet tomorrow " I stated
"Is that a challenge Ms. Mittal? " He asked
"You can take it as that Mr. Malhotra" I fired back
"And what will the person who wins the challange will get? " He asked
"Ammm,okay. The person who wins,can make the person who lost do anything for the whole coming Sunday and he or she can't deny " I put forth and he smirked coming a bit closer to me while in turn I stepped back.
"Anything? " He asked coming more closer and in a blink my back touched the wall behind.
"An.. Any.. Anything" I said
"Okay then. Challenge accepted Ms. Mittal. Be ready to loose" He smirked and I looked at him.
Our faces were so close, nose touching slightly to each other and if I move a half an inch more near him...
Ugh you won't!
I tilted my face a bit and smirked.
"I'll not loose" I said and he smirked more.
"And if you do, just be ready to do... Anything" He whispered in my ear and I felt my goosebumps rising.
Damn! Why does his closeness affect me so so much!
Whyyy?
I looked at him as he stepped back and went near the door when I spoke.
"If you think that by saying me anything, anything, I'll get frightened then no I'll not because I know, you won't do anything the way you were saying. I trust you" I said and he looked at me and then smiled.
"So much trust on me Isha? " He asked and I blinked my eyes.
"Okay then. Let's see who wins" He added and stepped back.
"Bye Mihir" I said as he was on the door.
He looked at me turning around and spoke.
"See you seen Isha" He replied and before I could speak anything else he was out.
I touched my heart and I could hear my heart beat.
Not fastened but.... Calming!
