ISHA'S POV
I AM LATE, AGAIN!
SHIT SHIT SHIT!!
God, if today also I'll be late, Mihir is going to sue me for sure!
There's one person who can save me right now!
Hence I dialled him!
"Trevor! Urgenttt" I commanded on call
"Right away Madam. In five minutes" He said
"Great!" I replied cutting the call and just locked the door and ran down stairs but guess what a bad luck!
Before reaching the lift, I stumbled and fell!
"Ouch mumma" I whined and looked at my bag on floor with me.
Oh, you must be used to it right!
Well, these days don't know how does Mihir always catches me before I fall and break my shiny white teeth!
Ugh! Just stand up idiot!
I stood up and taking my bag, I went inside lift and after two minutes a car stopped in front of me.
"God, Trevor. Can't you bring normal car. Like normal, normal" I asked as I sat inside
"Mr. Mittal's order madam. " he said and I sighed.
Dad!
"Oh God, Trevor. It's 9:50! You've ten minutes! I want to reach office. Fly the car" I told and he nodded starting the car.
And he actually flew it!
Like, it's really tough to do so in Mumbai's traffic but this man here knows each and every street so...bonus!!
And at 9:58 Am, I was in front of the office gate.
"Trevor, you were told to stop the car away from here" I muttered
"Pardon madam. It would've taken three more minutes for you to walk till here" He said and I nodded as he had logic.
"Okay, thanks." I thanked and went there punching the ID card.
"Morning Jonas" I wished the watchman I met and he passed me a warm smile.
I ran towards lift and went to my floor.
"Thank God, you're here. I thought today is really your last day" Sarah spoke as soon as she saw me.
"I too thought that. But saved" I sighed drinking water and she chuckled.
"Well, the clients are going to come today. All the best to you all" I wished and she smiled as Aryan joined us
"I don't know how you convinced them. I mean, it's like sometimes I feel like, you must've warned them that you don't know who my parents are" Aryan joked and I chuckled while looking at them
"Well I can say them that." I winked
"Really! And when they'll say that Ms. Ishaani, tell us, who your parents are " Sarah mimicked the client and I chuckled.
"Baani & Kabeer Mittal" I said and they both laughed.
"Yeah sure. Baani and Kabeer Mittal. And I'm Mihira Malhotra" Sarah mocked and I smiled.
Come on. I can tell them!
"Mihira is sweet. And please no words against her. She's my sister in law." I said
"Ishaani come on. We're not coming in your trap. Mihira Malhotra is Our boss's boss sister who married some time before to Advocate Vivaan Martin. So how can you even know her" She asked
"Because, Vivaan bhai is my family" I shrugged
"Really Ishaani. It's not April Fools today. Baani & Kabeer Mittal have just one daughter. Isha Mitt... Oh fuck! Holy shit" Aryan spoke and then saw me with wide eyes.
"Shit. Damn! Isha Mittal" His voice came as a mere whisper
"One and only" I smirked and before Sarah could yell, I shut her mouth.
"Sushhh! No yelling." I whispered and she nodded.
"What's this all Ishaani.. I mean Isha. Oh damn, do I have to call you Ms. Mittal or madam" Sarah asked and I glared her.
"Shut up. You're my two amazing friends ! And I'm just, Isha. But always remember, till I'm here in office, I'm Ishaani" I mumbled
"But.. Why. Why did you hide it all" Aryan asked and I narrated them everything.
"Geez. Mr. Malhotra knows who you're, yet he behaved so rude to you in start" Sarah gritted her teeth and I chuckled
"Well, that's a different story. Let's keep it for some other day. But he's good. Really good " I smiled while both of them smirked
"Ahann! Not bad " Sarah smirked
"Hey! Not like.. Shut up Sarah" I whined and she chuckled.
"God, I can't believe the only heiress of B & M is standing in front of me" She said and I smiled.
"No Sarah. Here, I'm just Ishaani Mittal. An intern working here. And when we go out of office, I'm your friend, Isha. Clear" I asked
"Damn Aryan. Now I understand how she commands so nicely. Look at her. She's going to be the CEO. I'm so, so happy for you" Sarah said hugging me and I hugged her back smiling.
"Hey, both of you. It's a top secret. Not telling anyone at any cost. Pinki promise?" I asked and they chuckled
"Pinki promise" They replied hitting my forehead lightly.
"Okay, let's get back to work" Aryan said and I nodded.
I went to my seat and started working.
It was almost half past eight in the evening when everyone was ready to leave but.. I was to stay till my boss leaves!
Ugh! The punishment!!
I just went towards washroom when I heard someone from behind.
"Yeah she's the one" Someone said and I turned back to find some girls.
"Oh, so you're the one who's getting popular these days in office" One of them said and looked at me.
"Excuse me. Do I know you? " I asked
"Oh of course not. How will you know when you just poke your nose somewhere or I must say, on someone" She mocked
"Mind your tongue Miss" I warned
"Oh really! You couldn't mind your filthy character and now I should mind my tongue" She laughed and next I know was my hand on her cheek.
"You bitch. How dare you" One of them yelled
"Oh nothing. I was just showing my character, which you were certifying" I mocked glaring them.
"Who are you even saying to Ruhaani. She's a bitch. Bloody gold digger" Someone said and I looked around to find some more employees there.
"I'm again warning you to mind your tongue" I warned glaring them
"Oh please. By which mouth are you even saying this. We all know what's happening in this office since last months." A man said and I looked at him.
"What do you mean" I asked
"Oh now she wants meaning of this. Really Ishaani. How innocent you act. I'm sure you trapped our boss just like that. By faking innocence" A girl of my age said and I looked at her.
I looked all around me and saw that I was surrounded by a bunch of people.
"Hey, get away from her" Sarah's voice came and I looked at her.
"You know, now I understand. How did you come in such an expensive car today. That must be your gifts right. You got a very very qbig shot dude" A boy chuckled
"It'll be better if you stay away from her and stop saying anything to her" Aryan came to defended me
"Oh here they come for rescue. You both don't know what a bitch she's" An employee said
"Mind your tongue Daksha. You don't know who she's " Aryan warned
"You should've taught this girl to mind her business here rather then trapping a rich man." Person behind him said and Aryan glared him raising his hand.
"Aryan no" I yelled as a tear left my eye.
"Ah, here she goes. Oh people. Now she's going to run to the boss complaining about us." Someone mocked and I wiped my tear and chuckled bitterly.
"For the first time I wish, I would've listened to dad. " I muttered
"Go go. Complain about us. After all you've used your cheap tricks on him" A girl said and I glared her hard.
"A word more, I'll forget that you're my senior" I warned as my eyes became teary already.
"Senior? Really Ishaani. The speed you're getting promotions.. I'm sure, we all will have to call you madam" A voice came and I turned to find Ayaan.
"Not a word Ayaan, I'm warning" Aryan warned but Ayaan looked at me.
"Why not. This woman, we all here are aware. What do you think Sarah. We all are interns here. But look at her. Does she seem like one? I also thought her to be kind, ethical woman. But the day she got to represent the company in Zurich, I knew something is wrong. Come on, which intern gets this chance. We all here work under the managers of our branches,she works directly under Mr. Malhotra. Like what a speed man. I'm sure that PA thing, You must've loved it right Ishaani? " Ayaan blamed looking at me while a tear left my eye.
So, That's Ayaan! One I thought to be my friend!
"Oh now don't fake these crocodile tears. They might work on someone whom you trapped. So tell us Ishaani, what did you do that we all didn't to reach those heights. I mean we all are working here
But no one gets to go directly to Mr. Malhotra's cabin offering him coffee. And I mean come on, he fires people who are even five minutes late. And here she's! Even after being two hours late yesterday. Great trap of beauty and innocence Ishaani. One more thing, Mr. Malhotra doesn't call us to his office everyday. But she has been called every three or four hours in his cabin." Ayaan said looking at me with disgusted face and I looked at him with hurt.
Guess what, Mihir was right. Even Mr. Tripathi! It was just me who was blind to consider him my friend!
"Why are you silent Ishaani. Tell everyone of us, what happens behind those closed doors of Mr. Malhotra's cabin that has taken you to these heights" He asked and tears rolled down my cheeks when suddenly there was hard punch on his face due to which he directly fell on the ground.
I turned to my side shocked when I saw Mihir!
MIHIR'S POV
I won't say that I exactly know what's happening with me..
But something is happening for sure!
Something which is new, yet doesn't seem to be foreign! Something which hasn't happened ever.
It's... It's like you know when everything is going bad, that one thing can make you believe that this too shall pass with that person!
She.. Feels like family!
Everyone knows that I don't entertain late comers. I just... Ughhh!
She's making me change my rules for herself and I'm doing that gladly!
I'm.. I'm doing the things I've never done.
God, breaking my diets!
Eating in midnights!
Smiling, laughing and everything!
Everything... Once again!
She's making me feel like a human..
Again!!
Something, I just forgot to do after she left!
After my idiot left!!
I wish.. I just wish I won't have done that!!
No Mihir!
Not digging in that again!
I sighed and looked at the file in front of me.
That's my reality, in front of me!
Six months are going to be over soon and Isha will be going back.
She's going to be the CEO.
I can't imagine, this girl is going to be CEO.
The one who walks less and fall more.
And who can actually murder someone if they say anything about her desserts and ice creams.
Still, she's going to do brilliant and I'll always, always be there for her.
But, she'll leave. And this thing..pains!
The whole day passed in jiffy and it was really so busy day that I didn't even get to see her!
So why getting impatient!
Ugh, shut up!
It was half past eight in night when I was working and suddenly there was a knock on my door.
"In" I commanded and I saw... Sarah.. I guess that's what her name is.
"I'm sorry for sudden appearance sir but.. " She was saying when I saw her teary eyed.
I took the glass of water and went towards door offering her the same when she denied.
"Are you alright Ms. Sarah. Did someone,
Say you anything? " I asked when she denied.
"Ish.. Isha. " She whispered as a tear left her eye.
"What happened? " I asked a bit concerned as her name came.
"Just come with me. Please" She said and I nodded and we went towards the floor on which they all work.
And the site in front of me was a bit drastic.
Isha was standing in between some employees and... Her eyes had tears.
I clenched my fists and looked at Ms. Sarah.
"She's.." Before she could say I heard someone.
