It felt like things were going to change after this picnic.
I moved my hand on my chest where my heart was beating fast as some unknown fear was eating it up. "Logan told me there is a pool too. We can chill over there the whole day then do the barbeque at night" William informed us of the plan he had made for us. His words distracted me a little.
"Sounds fun," I said with a grin on my face. I would love to do what he said. I saw the pool in the picture Logan showed me.
"We will do a barbeque party the whole night" James joined our conversation as he put his head between us from the back seat.
"I have even brought some special plum wine my brother sent me from his farm. Trust me it's great" chef Oliver said, making Williams and James' eyes lit up.
"Chef Oliver you are the best," James said, almost throwing himself on chef Oliver to hug him tightly, making us chuckle at him. Chef Oliver patted his back as he still kept hugging him.
"Did I hear plum wine?" Logan asked as he looked back at us still steering the wheel.
"Logan, look at the front," the head chef asked him in his firm voice as he kept looking forward. All the time he was silent and was only listening to our conversation.
"Sorry boss," he said sheepishly and looked immediately in front to focus back on the road. James told Logan that chef Oliver had brought the wine for us.
"I can't wait to taste it. Remember last time you gave us the little batches I still remember its taste" William said as he was lost in the taste of it last time he drank.
"You were knocked out for the whole day," James teased him, making him wave at him.
"That was fun if you know," he said as he shrugged at him.
"Is that good?" I asked turning my head to look at the chef Oliver.
"You will know once you taste it," chef Oliver said as he winked at me. Now I was eager to taste the plum wine. I have never drunk one.
The farmhouse was a five-hour drive away so that's why we left early so we could get the rest of the day to enjoy ourselves at the pool. We stopped at one stop to have a little late breakfast. As I was drinking my coffee my eyes unknowingly moved on him as he was standing near the van talking with Logan about the root. He was wearing his casual jeans and full sleeve shirt with his hands folded on his chest. His biceps were bulging showing his muscles. Sun rays were falling on his perfect symmetric face making him look more handsome than he is. His grey eyes made him look more unique. The urge to touch his stubble beard increased in me.
I blinked my eyes as I realised what thought came to my mind. My face became red and as if sensing my eyes on him he looked at me with his pensive gaze. I instantly looked away as I continued drinking my coffee. I didn't notice that my coffee was still hot. I drank the hot coffee and instantly spat it out as it burned my mouth.
"Are you ok?" James asked me as he handed me the tissue.
"Yes, I'm fine, just burned my mouth a little," I said sheepishly, looking at him. I felt his gaze on me but I didn't look at him. I could sense he was still looking at me but I did not dare to look at him.
"Rinse your mouth with it you will better" William handed me a cold bottle of water. After our break, a grey eyed monster decided to drive the van.
I felt my eyes getting heavy as I had not slept last night in excitement like ten years old. I don't know when I drifted into sleep as I rested my head on my seat. The next time I opened my eyes I found myself sleeping comfortably on Williams's shoulder as my hand was draped over his abdomen. I closed my eyes again as I took a deep breath in a very familiar cologne. I was getting myself comfortable again without thinking much but a sensible never in my brain ticked at the recognition of the familiar cologne lingered near my nose. My eyes shot open and I immediately shifted my body away from him.
My startled wide eyes met with his grey one and then they slowly moved to my shoulder. I moved my hand on the shirt I was wearing to straighten it as it had fallen from my shoulder exposing my skin to his eyes. How the hell is he sitting beside me? I certainly remember him driving the van when I fell asleep. I moved my eyes to find William was driving the car and everyone else was sleeping. I looked everywhere but him as my face had turned a little red the way I was clinching to him in my sleep. I moved further away, making lots of distance between us. From the corner of my eyes, I saw him eyeing the distance I made between us with his hard eyes. I gulped hard and bit my lower lip at my foolishness.
How could I sleep like that?
"How long until we reach," I asked William, feeling the tension in the air getting heavy because of our silence.
"We are just ten minutes away from it according to the GPS" he answered me as he kept focusing on the road. I nodded at him and averted my eyes to look out of the window. Like he said we reached in ten minutes so I woke up everyone.
"Wow this place looks more beautiful than the picture," I said in astonishment as I eyed the long and long green mesmerising fields. I took out my cell phone to take a picture for Erick and Sophia.
"I told you it was heaven on the earth," Logan said as he stood beside me as everyone else was taking out our bags from the van.
"Indeed it is" William Joined us looking at the scenery which we can't find in the city of tall buildings.
"Are you taking pictures to send to Sophia?" Logan asked curiously and I nodded while still taking the picture.
"Let's take a selfie to send her," he said excitedly as I handed him my phone. Three of us took a lot of selfies to send to her. We made funny faces in each picture. I was already enjoying myself.
"Guys get in" we heard a firm voice commanding us making us look at the source. The head chef was standing there with a stone face. William and Logan followed in without saying anything. I followed them as I didn't want to be left behind with him. Logan brought the keys from the caretaker of this place.
"Wow this place is awesome," James said as he came back after exploring the place.
"Guys pool is even big and there is a barbeque already set in front of it. I can't wait to dive into it", he said excitedly.
"Guys two rooms are open for us. William, Sage, and I will share one room and another with James, chef Oliver and head chef" Logan informed us taking our luggage we walked to our room. I could say from his face that the head chef didn't like the arrangement. I was relieved that I was sharing a room with Logan and William. I think Logan did this arrangement with keeping me in mind.
"I will go and change first," I said to William as I wanted some privacy. William node at me. I took my small bag and climbed the stairs. This place was so beautiful it even had a balcony with a breathing view. All the rooms were on one side and the balcony on the other facing the beautiful green mountains. I let go of my bag at the door of my closed room and walked towards the open balcony.
I wish to live in this kind of place one day.
I took out my phone and started taking pictures. I don't know when will be the next time I will see this kind of beauty again. I was so busy taking pictures that I didn't notice a figure standing behind me. Smile from my face fainted as I sensed who was standing behind me. He was standing too close to my liking. I didn't dare to turn and look at him. I put my phone away and slipped from the side remembering how he tried to trap me last time. I was walking with fast steps when he took hold of my wrist and pushed me to the wall.
"Change your room and come to mine" he instructed me as he buried his face in my neck finally getting me alone. I could sense impatience in his voice and it sent a quiver to my whole body. My heart was beating fast as he said those words. Why does he want me to be in his room? My body shivered thinking about his reason. I had decided to stay away from him and I will do as I decided. I swallowed hard and opened my mouth.
"No," I said my firm voice straight away, this made him move his face out of my neck and looked at me with his dark gaze.
"Stop being stubborn," he said dominantly. He can't command me. I had decided to rebel against him until the end. I pushed him and yelled in my mad voice. My taunt made his jaw clench. I don't care.
"I will be stubborn as much as I want to be you can't stop me because I'm, not yours"
