Jennie walked out of the ward and saw Tian Qi around the
corner waiting like a loyal hound. He seemed highly cautious as he raised his ears to listen to what was happening inside the ward. Seeing Jennie walk out of the room, Tian Qi was clearly relieved.
"Tian Qi, I want to visit my mother. You're coming
with me, right?"
"Yes!" Tian Qi answered.
Even if Jennie did not allow him to, he would still follow along.
"Sir said that I must not let Mistress out of my sight!"
Jennie nodded and Tian Qi continued after a short pause, "Don't tell Sir that I left just now..."
Jennie could not help but laugh when she heard that. Even though Tian Qi was wooden-headed, he was stupidly adorable. He was indeed one-track-minded.
"If I were to go to the toilet, are you going to follow me in as well?"
Jennie thought of an idea to tease him. When Tian Qi heard this, his face turned red instantly.
"Haha, I'm just playing with you. Don't worry, I won't tell Sir," Jennie promised.
Tian Qi nodded his head earnestly.
Recovering in-patient ward.
The corridor was quiet and Shin Hye's vital signs indicated that her body was in a good state under the care of the nurses in the recovering ward. Even so, Jennie still came very often as she hoped that miracle will happen one day.
Shin Hye's ward had always been guarded. Now that something had happened in Zong He, Lisa became even more cautious.
Oddly enough, the two guards who normally patrolled around the ward were nowhere to be seen today. There were only a few nurses and care workers hustling around the corridor.
Jennie took a turn around the corner and looked towards her mother's ward. A familiar figure caused her heart to shudder.
"Nancy? What are you doing here?"
Nancy was wearing a pale yellow dress and a white cardigan. She quietly stood outside Shin Hye's ward and looked at the unconscious woman through the window.
Upon hearing Jennie's voice, Nancy turned her head and
looked at Jennie in the eyes. The corners of the woman's lips curled up, but she had a cold look on her face.
Jennie's heart was about to leap out of her chest!
She quickly walked over and used her body to cover the ward door. She was trembling slightly and there was less than a meter between each of them.
Jennie noted how Nancy did not answer her, so she
continued to question, "Why did you come here? Don't even think about hurting my mother!"
Nancy pursed her lips together as she enjoyed watching Jennie getting all flustered. She had achieved her goal already!
When Jennie saw the look on Nancy's face, she knew that
she had lost her sense of proportion.
Jennie was never the kind of woman who was unreasonable. However, after the incident with Yanni, she did not think that. Nancy would care about Shin Hye's recovery out of good will.
Especially when Jennie saw the hatred in Nancy's eyes as
she stood in front of her. It was a hatred so deep that it could compare. to the hatred of those who were arch enemies.
"Jennie, even you have something that you're afraid of, right?"
Nancy grinned sheepishly as though they were old friends. She tapped on Jennie's shoulder and the strength that she used caused Jennie to lose her balance.
"I want to talk to you! Since you're waiting here, you should have something to say to me, right?" Jennie said.
Nancy laughed coldly and reached her hand out to fix her huge black curls. "Jennie, you're very smart indeed! What about him?"
As Nancy spoke, she looked at the loyal hound behind Jennie.
As figured, Tian Qi did not see Nancy as a threat. He
straightened his body and waited for Jennie's command with an expressionless look on his face.
"Tian Qi will not interrupt us, he is just following along,"
Jennie said and took the lead.
This issue was between two women and it was none of Lisa's business. Jennie was sure that as long as she allowed Tian Qi to follow along, Lisa would not appear any time soon.

After Jennie left, Taecyeon snarled furiously.
Tzuyu was used to him acting like this.
She was his punching bag whenever he faced difficulties. Tzuyu detested him in every way possible but she did not say a word.
She believed in karma and he would need to pay for his sins one day!
Taecyeon left the hospital in a hurry and dialed a number on his phone along the way. After a round of beeping, the man who answered the phone on the other end of the line sounded utterly bored.
"Mr. Manoban, you'll kill me by calling me so carelessly. Your cousin is not an ordinary person, he will find me very soon."
"Hanbin, your lovely little sister hit me! I'll be counting it on you!"
Taecyeon was fuming with rage once again.
Hanbin's voice was cold and there were a few hints of murderous intent, "I told you not to make a move on Jennie."
"Don't forget that we sponsored half of the funds for you to start over again. It is part of the bargain that I get to sleep with that woman after everything is done!"
Taecyeon gnashed his teeth together as he spoke and spat on the ground.
"After all, I funded the Kim Family and you guys return my kindness with ingratitude?"
On the other end of the phone line, Hanbin laughed. "Stop patronizing yourself! Mr. Manoban, if I remember correctly, we are working together."
Hanbin then paused for a moment. It seemed like he was giving Taecyeon some time to think about it.
"You guys don't even think about coming clean from the old Xi Fan case. You guys can't escape the blame if they were to take revenge. Besides, you gave me money to expand my influences because you can't bring Lisa down yourself. You're just using an outsider like me to achieve your goal. Why are you patronizing yourself?"
Taecyeon grunted. "Hanbin, don't forget that if we didn't help you, do you think that you could have fooled Lisa with Woo-bin's fake death?"
"I found the veteran who had a similar build and looks as Woo-bin. Besides, I even contacted his plastic surgeon for you guys!"
Hanbin heard this and clenched his teeth angrily. Then, he said in a low voice, "Taecyeon, don't talk about this so casually. Listen, you must never let Jennie know about this. I will still need her help later on."

Coffee Lounge.
Jennie and Nancy picked a secluded corner. Jennie ordered a cup of latte and Nancy order a cup of noni juice.
When the coffee arrived, the air was filled with its fresh aroma. However, Nancy frowned. "How is it suitable for a girl to drink something so bitter?"
Jennie smiled. "Miss Mcdonie, I've heard a deceased friend said something similar before!"
Jennie stared at Nancy's fair little face and continued
calmly, "Do you want to know who is the deceased friend?"
Nancy's cold eyes did not waver slightly. This woman was indeed very calm. She frowned slightly and said jokingly, "Someone with the same taste as me?"
"Yes! Back when I was in the UK, I met Somi a few times. She never drank something as bitter as coffee!"
"Miss Mcdonie, a wise person does not beat around the bush. I was struggling on the way here, should I call you Nancy Mcdonie or Jeon Somi?"
Jennie was straight to the point!
Nancy had purposely appeared at her mother's ward when she went to visit Tzuyu. She wanted to instill fear and force her to hand over secret information.
Somi heard that and grinned coldly. A hint of hatred flashed through her eyes but she was not surprised.
"My mother told you after all!"
Jennie did not try to hide it any longer. "I've been to City C!"
Somi grunted and a sarcastic smile appeared at the corners of her lips. "I know that you went to City C, so I secretly reported it to Xia Tao. How was his huge gift that he gave you guys?"
"I should've known that it was you! You must have played a part in causing the accident in City C. Somi, I didn't think that you would become so vicious!"
Jennie seemed to be restraining her attitude. She only used her. furious gaze to warn Somi.. If it was not for Chaeyoung, would she be able to sit here now and drink coffee?
Somi would definitely not let her return to Luo Hai!
"Vicious? Hahaha..." Somi laughed hysterically and her beautiful little face was suddenly filled with hatred!
"You call this vicious? Unfortunately, that idiot, Xia Tao did not manage to complete his task and he ended up losing his life in the process."
Jennie frowned, she was a little surprised. "Xia Tao has died?"
Upon returning from City C, she did not know what had happened later on. Even Lisa did not know that Director Xia was involved in this attempted kidnapping case. So to speak, Bureau Chief Liu played a major role in this.
"He committed suicide and died without leaving any trouble behind.. He took all the secrets along with him and I'm very satisfied with this result!"
Somi chuckled.. "If Liang Zihan did not run fast enough, I think that little bitch would not be alive!"
