(continued from previous chapter; covid-19)
everything went quicker than i thought. it has been 7 days and this is the last day of mourning. it seems like nothing much has changed but someone was gone in a blink of an eye.
thankfully, the hospital called me yesterday and told me that my grandmother is in a stable condition and she is doing well. she does talks to the nurses too and tell them how they feel of her husband's pass.
of course, she is sad. our family is sad too. we won't be able to see grandfather for a long time. but soon, it'll pass. things will change and that's how you realize that you need to spend quality time with the people you love because we won't know when we are leaving.
i was just chilling and lying on the couch while looking at my phone. namjoon was sitting on his chair while looking at his phone too. we were both on social media, looking through the internet.
"diana-ssi", namjoon said.
"nae", i replied and look at him.
"aren't you working on a drama? i heard about it yesterday. the staff was talking about it", he said.
"drama?" i asked him back, confused.
"yeah. i heard staff saying about it. that's why i'm asking you", he replied.
"ah~, it's not a drama. it's a reality show", i said.
"what reality show?" he asked.
"something like bts in the soop. but this one is daily life during this pandemic", i said.
"ah~, so what is really about? what will it feature?" he asked.
"i'm not really sure which one will they take but most of the time, even at home, i will have cameras around. it's like working amidst this pandemic", i said.
"what's the title?" he asked.
"if i'm not mistaken..." i hissed and tried to remember.
"i don't really remember but i think it's diana park: life of a world-class artist", i told him.
"oof, the title is putting me on. that sounds interesting", he said. i grinned.
"i don't know how people will react. maybe a little bit cringe. but i am not boasting that i am a world-class artist. i didn't agree on the title at first but then," i sighed and shrugged. namjoon chuckled.
"don't be unmotivated. you are a world-class artist. grammy? you got that", namjoon said.
"honestly, i don't know what i should do after i got the grammy. i thought that was limit. i don't want anything else but to perform in concerts in front of fans. but this pandemic is driving me crazy." i sighed.
"it's making the members and me crazy too. i really hope this thing will end soon", namjoon said.
"j-hope's birthday is around the corner." i told him.
"yeah, another few more days." namjoon said.
"another 11 days", i said.
"any plans?" he asked me. i chuckled.
"his sister is getting married, right? when will she get married?" i asked.
"i'm not really sure though. but i think in february too or march", namjoon said.
"jinjja?" i asked and nodded.
"even jin's brother is married already", i said.
"yeah~," namjoon smiled.
"everyone's grown up. it always hits me that they we will all someday have our own family", i said.
namjoon chuckled and look at me as he put his phone down.
"i mean - look at you, you're going to 28 years old this year", i said. he grins.
"i really do hope our friendship will remain this way forever", i smiled.
"i think you'll get married with jimin", namjoon said.
"i don't know what tomorrow holds, namjoon. things may change or it may not", i said.
"no, i mean seriously. i do hope that your relationship with him will be forever. let you guys get married and have children and have your own family", he said. i smiled.
"that's beyond my imagination. having kids?" i sighed and smiled blandly.
"what? you don't want to have children?" he asked.
"i don't know if i want to, joonie", i said.
"what? why?" he asked.
"this world is too cruel already. i don't want my children to get hurt. it hurts me when i think that my children will be going through what i went through." i said.
namjoon smiled blandly.
"it's your choice if you want to have children or not. but life goes on", he said. i chuckled.
"who do you think will get married first? jinnie? suga? or you?" i asked. namjoon laughed.
"i think we would be married when we are above 35 years old", namjoon said.
"i can't imagine your faces when you're already 50 years old" i said and laughed.
"are you still going to be producer when you not anymore artist?" he asked.
"i don't know. maybe i'll start a new career. maybe do something like jimmy fallon? jimmy kimmel? james corden? ellen?" i said. he laughed.
"so, yours is the late late night with diana park?" he asked.
"correct", i said and we laughed.
"who's your first and ever guest?" he asked.
"you", i replied. he laughed.
"god, i'm not good with variety shows like that", he said.
"you are. well, maybe if you alone won't make it. maybe 7 of you", i said. he laughed again.
"but seriously, i think it's a nice thing we have that type of talks in korea too", i said.
"i would support that. we need new generation that needs to do something new. it doesn't matter if we follow the western style", he said. i nodded.
"i'll think about it", i said.
"you'll be a great entertainer", he said. i grinned.
"but thinking of you and jimin. i think you'll be a great mother", he said. i laughed.
"really?" i asked him.
"yeah", he replied. i grinned.
"thanks", i replied and shrugged. he laughed.
before we could continue talking, the door of the recording studio opens. j-hope and suga came in with starbucks cup in their hands. they greeted us.
"annyeong", j-hope greeted.
"annyeonghaseyo", i grinned as they came in.
i get up from lying down on the couch and retied my hair into a messy bun. j-hope and suga sat on the couch with me. i put my phone on the coffee table in front of me.
"how are you?" j-hope asked me in english.
"good. how about you?" i asked him back.
"very good", he replied. i chuckled.
i then notice that there was a camera that was placed on top of namjoon's book rack and the camera was blinking, signaling that it was in record mode.
"namjoonie", i said as i stood up from the couch and went to his book rack.
"nae?" he replied as he looked at me.
"did this camera here all the time and was recording us all the while?" i asked him pointing at the camera that was placed properly on the book rack.
"oh! you didn't know?" he asked me back.
"mwo!?" i exclaimed. suga, rm and j-hope laughed.
"yah! i didn't!" i said and look at the camera.
"annyeonghaseyo", i said to the camera.
"how long have you guys talked?" suga asked.
"i don't know. 30 minutes?" i asked.
"we started talking since she came in. it's been around 30 minutes since she came here", namjoon said.
i grinned and shook my head as i head back to the couch and sat down.
"how's jay?" j-hope asked me.
"mwo? jay?" i asked him back. he nods as he put his starbucks cup on the coffee table.
"meh," i chuckled. "the same. he's okay", i said.
they know about my grandfather's pass the day that i was informed he passed away. so, they were also sad for me and sorry for me. jay was really devastated though.
he's really close to grandpa. so, i wasn't weird why he is really sad. but now, he's calmer and i guess he can deal with grandpa's passing already.
"how many days have it been? you're still wearing dark clothes", suga said.
"today's the last day", i said and smiled thinly. they nodded.
j-hope sighed and said, "that's life. come and go. come and go."
i nodded and smiled. "that's why if someone loves somebody too much, they get really devastated knowing that they won't see the person they love anymore on earth."
"i remembered when jimin received the news that you were in a major accident, he was very shocked", suga said. i smiled blandly.
"all of us were shocked though. we were like jimin too." j-hope said.
"yeah, but jimin was kinda more insisting that he wants to see diana", suga said.
"he didn't even sleep the whole night even after our manager say that you've woke up", rm said.
i chuckled.
"that was really traumatic. but good for me. so dramatic", i said. they laughed.
"but eventually, jyp apologized, right?" they said. i nodded.
"diana's power", rm said. i grinned.
"what happened to jeongyeon anyway?" j-hope asked. i shrugged.
"but i am shocked that jyp use her name to bring you even knowing that you two don't have good relationship", suga said. i shook my head and smirked.
"their ceo is kinda..." i said and pointed my head and twirl my finger in sign of 'crazy'.
they laughed.
"let's start the recording then. we're all here", rm said.
"alright. you guys can go in then", i said as i stand up.
"kajja", they said and stood up from their seats and went into the recording studio.
i took my phone and sat on the chair were namjoon sat just now. in front of the computer. i turn on the amplifier and some things that is used for the recording.
at the same time, a few more producer came into the recording studio. we promised to gather at the recording studio at 3:30 pm. i was in the studio with namjoon since 3 o'clock yet.
that's why they just arrive.
"alright. let's start", i said after pressing a button so that the rap line of bts can hear what i say.
"nae~," they replied and i release the button.
if i press the button then they can hear me. if i release the button, they won't hear me.
anyway, we started the recording session with other producers around. even though i'm not bts' choreographer starting 2021 anymore, i'm still their main producer.
so, i still can meet the members when new album is coming up.
