LISA
I CELEBRATED THE Christmas Eve together with the squad. With Sunmi unnie and Somi. We're almost complete but Jongin and Jennie didn't join us.
The celebration finished early. So I wore my PJ and was about to go to sleep when my phone vibrated signaling that someone messaged me. I grabbed it and saw Jennie's name.
From: Jennie
Merry Christmas, Lisa! I love you 💚
I couldn't help but to sigh. Just by the thought that she celebrated the Christmas Eve alone, it's making my heart clench. So even though I didn't want to reply, I still did.
To: Jennie
Merry Christmas too, Jennie. Goodnight.
Without waiting for her reply, I turned off my phone and quickly drifted off to sleep.

Christmas Day. It's the 25th of December already. This year is coming to an end.
"Lis, are you going to work today?" Sehun asked me. They slept here in Chaeng's house because they're too lazy to go home.
"Ofcourse. Why?"
"Nothing. Just asking. Are you going to use your car?" I nodded. "Alright. I'm going now."
"Did they leave already?"
"Yup. They already left minutes ago."
"Oh. I am the boss but I am the one who will be late." He chuckled upon hearing what I said.
"It's fine, Lis. Be careful on driving. I'll go now." He said and left. I quickly took a shower and dressed up. After I finished my morning routine, I immediately went out of the house and entered my car. I took out my phone to message Tzuyu.
To: Tzuyu
Hey, are you in the company already?
She replied to my message faster than I expected.
From: Tzuyu
Not yet. Why?
To: Tzuyu
I'll pick you up. Did you already eat breakfast?
From: Tzuyu
Not yet, too. Hehe
To: Tzuyu
Let's eat breakfast together. My treat. I'll pick you up.
From: Tzuyu
Sure :)
I put my seatbelt on first before I started the engine and drove away. I discovered that she's living alone. She's renting an apartment before but when she saved enough money, she bought her own house. Good for her, though.
When I arrived, I spotted her outside her house probably waiting for me. I rolled the window down so she can see me.
"Lisa!" She shouted from afar as she ran towards me and entered the car. "Thank you for picking me up." She uttered.
"You're always welcome. So, shall we? I'm kinda hungry already."
"Sure."

JENNIE
It's been days already since Lisa and I broke up. Hate me all you want. But I already regretted everything. I didn't know what came to my mind that I cheated on her. I am so fucking dumb. Even I hate myself now.
Jongin didn't show up anymore after that incident. I didn't know where he is. I tried contacting him because ofcourse, I still care for him since we started as friends. And I hope we're still friends until now. But I guess, even him hates me too right now. Because everything is my fault. He stopped me in the first place. He fucking stopped me for how many times but shit happened. I didn't listen to him. Fuck myself. I lost my control. I didn't know what came to my mind that time. I knew to myself that I really love Lisa. But ever since Jongin came, everytime that thought keeps repeating in my mind to remind me, there's always a voice telling me to do it and that. To the point that I didn't control myself anymore and cheated on Lisa with Jongin. And I really hate my whole self right now.
I am currently strolling around. I used to stroll around with Lisa when we're still together. The memories. I am trying to win her back again. I really want us to start again. But if this is really the end, I have no other choice but to accept it.
"Jennie." I was startled upon hearing a voice behind me. I turned around and saw Ten. "Can we talk?" He looks so serious. And by that, I already know that it's about Lisa.
"Sure."
We went to the nearest café. I am honestly nervous right now. I just didn't disappoint two person. Not just Lisa and Jongin. But I also disappointed the whole squad because of what I did. Especially Ten. I promised to him that I won't hurt Lisa. That I'll never break her heart. Another promise of mine has been broke. And sadly, it's also me who broke it.
"So, what do you wanna talk about?" I asked him and took a sip on my coffee.
"Tell me, Jennie. Why did you do it? Did you really love Lisa? Because I think, you didn't. I think it was just a fake love. Right?"
"I loved her. And I still love her. I'm really sorry for breaking her heart."
"Do you think a sorry is enough to heal her broken heart? Do you think a sorry is enough to heal the wounds that she has right now because of you? No, Jennie. A big no. I trusted you. I broke up with her because I want you for her. Because you two love each other. Because I know that you're the perfect one for her. But why did this happen, Jen? If I only knew, I shouldn't have let her to be with you." It's so clear in his tone how disappointed he is on me. I looked down and started fidgeting.
"You know that you can't have her again, right? Just like what I said to you before. And you agreed on it. So please, just stay away from her and never bother her again. For the best."
"I can't, Ten. I...I want her back. I won't make the same mistake again." I muttered but enough for him to hear it.
"Mistake? A choice, Jennie. It was a choice."
"Ten, please."
"Even if you beg me for a thousand or million times, it's still a no. I won't let you have her again. Never again, Jennie. 'Cause you might hurt her again. You might break her heart again."
"Ten, just one favor. Please?" I begged. He let out a sigh.
"What is it?"
"Let me spend two weeks with her. Just two weeks. Then after that, I won't bother her anymore."
"No." He firmly said.
"Please. Just for two weeks." I didn't stop on begging.
"What are your plans inside that two weeks? Make her fall for you again? Win her back? So she'll choose you again? So she'll take the risk again? Then in the end, you will hurt her again? Please stop, Jennie."
"No. I just want to spend some more time with her." I uttered.
"You can't fool me, Jennie. I know, you want her back. And letting you spend more time with her is a very bad idea. Listen, Jennie. Lisa had enough from you. So please. Just stop." He stated while looking directly to my eyes.
"Ten—"
"That's all I want to say. I will go now. Remember my words. Bye, Jennie." And with that, he stood up and left. I let out a deep sigh.
They all hate me now. Well, who wouldn't? I fucking hurted Lisa to the point that I even hate myself right now. I fucked up. I really fucked up. I don't think I can ever fix the mess I did.

LISA
Tzuyu is really fun to be with. Even though she's so talkative, I'm really having fun. She's so thoughtful. I'm starting to like her personality. But ofcourse, as a friend.
I am so tired. It's currently 4 in the afternoon but I still have many things to do. I still have a meeting with our new investor which is Mr. Kim Junmyeon or known as Suho.
"Lisa, want some coffee?" asked Tzuyu who just came back after I ordered her to give some files to Jisoo unnie.
"Oh yes. Thank you." I replied. She put down the cup of coffee on my table. The aroma of the coffee is so refreshing.
"So I heard that we will be having a team building early next year? It will be a great way to start a new year."
"Yup. My Dad planned it."
"Can I ask something?"
"Go on."
"What's the full name of Ms. Sana?" I couldn't help but to smirk.
"Are you somehow interested on her?" I teased her. She quickly blushes.
"Ofcourse not! I am just curious." She seems nervous while saying those. I want to laugh but I'm stopping myself.
"Minatozaki Sana is her full name. I also have her number so I can give it to you if you want to."
"Yah I am not interested on her, okay?" I chuckled.
"Just gonna pretend that I believe you." She slapped my arm.
"I'm saying the truth here!" I chuckled once again. It's just so obvious that she's interested on Sana. But she's just denying it.
I teased her more until she finally admitted that she's kinda interested on Sana. I laughed out loud upon her saying "fine! I'm interested on her but I am shy to approach her". So I promised to help her.
Promise.
Not like Jennie, I know how to fulfill the promise I made.
"How did you and your ex-girlfriend started dating?" She suddenly asked while drinking her iced coffee. I leaned on the backrest of my swivel chair.
"Ofcourse, we first develop some feelings for each other. I courted her. I didn't want to rush everything. I want to test our love for each other. Then during our dinner date, I asked her to be my girlfriend. She said yes. And boom. We're finally in a relationship." I wholeheartedly explained. But I didn't stop there. "You know, everything was going well that time. We were so happy. In our own world."
"But what happened? Why did you break up?"
"To make the story short, she cheated. With my friend. I caught them. Cuddling inside our own house. Yeah. We're already living together that time. So it really hurts to see that thing inside our house. It really broke my heart." As I explained every detail to her, my heart started aching again because of that painful memory.
"Oh gosh. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have bring out that topic anymore." I looked at her and forced a smile.
"It's fine. Now that you already knew, can you distract me from remembering that memory? You know, make me happy. Since we're already friends."
"Sure, Lisa. I will help you with that. After hearing the story, it breaks my heart, too. So I will make sure to not bring out that topic again."
"Thank you."
"You're always welcome."

Tzuyu went home by herself since she now have a car. So I went home with Bambam and Ten. As always, I asked Bambam to drive instead of me.
"I saw Mr. Wang earlier when I ate lunch outside. Is he following you or something? I don't think that this is still a coincidence." Bambam said while driving. Ten is on the passenger's seat while I am on the backseat.
"No one knows. But we need to be careful. That's the only thing we can do for now."
"And to protect you and your parents. We all knew that you and your parents are his main target ever since. So we need to make sure that he can't harm any of you." Ten uttered. I sighed.
"When will he stop on his plans?"
"The question is, does he even planning to stop? Because I don't think so. He's been making his moves every chance he has."
"Bam is right. So as soon as possible, we need to make our moves, too."
"Did you already contact Jackson?"
"He messaged Chaeng earlier. He wants to meet us on Sunday at his place to talk about the plan. We're planning to bring the whole squad with us since we're on this fight together, right?"
"Ten, please. Let's not drag them into this anymore." I told him. He turned to me.
"We are stronger when we are together. You are the one who said that before. This is the time to show it. Besides, they want to help us, too. It's not only our choice. It's their choice, too."
"I don't care about whoever made that choice. Because I swear to god, if something bad happens to any of you, I will regret everything and I will blame myself forever." I firmly stated.
"Lisa, please listen."
"No, Ten. As you said, me and my parents are his main target so as much as possible, I don't wanna drag other peope into this. Yes, you are my friends. But I don't want any of you to be hurt. If he will kill me, then I'll accept my fate." I was surprised when Bambam suddenly stopped the car and turned to me also.
"When will you stop sacrificing yourself just for the sake of the others? What is the sense of being in the squad if we're not gonna fight together? Do you even thought that if ever we lose you for letting you fight alone will be the biggest regret in our entire life? Do you even thought that we will also blame ourselves forever if we ever let you fight alone? Think, Lisa. Think. We formed the squad as part of our promise that we will protect each other forever. It's better if we will die together than letting you die alone if ever." I opened my mouth to say something but I closed it again after choosing to not speak anymore.
I already thought of that. But I just don't want them to be hurt. I just want them to be safe. They are my friends. I really care about them.
I'd rather sacrifice myself. I'm sorry but that is my choice. And a choice is a choice.
