Chapter 44 A mess

Jessica's pov

The next morning I woke up and followed my same routine and headed out of the dormitory. For change I saw Dan sitting on one of the benches. He looked worried. I went to him and sat beside him. I asked him what had happened so he told me that he saw a nightmare last night. I asked what he saw. So he told me that he saw me asking him if he liked Natelie and that I wanted to break up with him. For one second I was in a deep shock but then I told him that yesterday I had a similar dream and that there is nothing to worry about cause I love him. He looked better. After a few seconds we saw everybody coming down their dorms.He asked me to have breakfast with him. I agreed and we headed to the canteen. We had breakfast and headed to the lesson. That day we had our two projects. At night we all changed and were talking. Suzy, Joy and I were talking when Natalie joined us. She told us about the guy she had started liking. His name was John. We were so excited when she told us she is going to ask him out tomorrow . After chatting for some time we all went to bed. The next morning when I was talking to Dan I saw a new boy in his friend circle. I asked him who he was. So Dan told me his name was John. I got a little smile on my face. We shook hands and Dan introduced us to each other. John greeted me telling he was here two weeks ago. He also pointed out that I was very pretty. I thanked him. Later in the afternoon when I was having lunch with Suzy, Joy and Natalie, Natalie told us she was going to ask John out after lunch. Then I told everybody in excitement that I met John today and that he is in Dan's friend circle. That night when we all asked Natalie what John's answer was. She looked very angry. We could feel our heartbeat. When suddenly Natalie started to shout at me for being so mean to her and why did I not want to see her happy. I still looked confused and asked her calmly as to what I had done and why she was shouting at me. She told me in an angry voice that John had said no to her as he liked someone else and that was me. I was in a big shock. I told Natalie that I did not like John and that I was dating Dan and will never leave him. I also told her that I didn't know that John likes me. Natalie was more frustrated after hearing about Dan. She yelled at me and I could not control my anger anymore so I yelled back at her. We had a fight and Natalie told me that she doesn't even want to see my face. She went to her bed and I went to mine. I cried the whole night and I couldn't sleep. The next morning I followed the same routine like every day and headed out of the dorm. I sat at a bench thinking about what to do about the fight. I was very sad. I finally decided to tell Dan about my fight with Natalie last night. The whole day I was thinking about the fight. Then in the evening I asked Dan if he wanted to have dinner with me. He agreed. We were eating dinner when I thought to tell Dan about our fight so I told him everything. He told me to calm down and that there is nothing to worry about. I felt a bit relaxed but I was still tense. I was so caught up in the fight that I totally forgot that day after tomorrow was Dan's birthday. I had planned everything and with no tension I slept. The next morning I woke up and followed my everyday routine as usual everybody was asleep except Joy. She was brushing in the washroom. We got ready and together left the dorm. I told Joy about Dan's birthday and also that she is invited to his party. She looked excited and asked me if I needed help. I agreed and told her that she will have to bring Dan to his mansion in the hall where the party was. I also told her that he has never had a birthday party before so it is a surprise for him. We were talking about other things when we noticed other students coming down their dormitory steps. We had breakfast and headed to our lessons.

When it was eleven I went to Dan's mansion to see all the preparation as Dan was going to come soon. I was very happy and excited. It was twelve now.

Dan's pov

Joy came to me at noon. She asked me if I could help her choose a nice gift for her boyfriend since his birthday was coming soon and she could not find Jessica anywhere. For once I thought Joy is giving a gift to her boyfriend for his birthday and at the other Jessica has not even talked with me today. I agreed and went with Joy to get a gift. In the car I was wondering where Jessica might be since I saw her going somewhere at eleven. Suddenly the car stopped with a break. When I looked to my right I saw my house. I wondered why the driver stopped here. Before I could say anything Joy told me that Jessica will meet us here and we will go together shopping. I thought for a second and then remembered that Joy does not know about my house. I told her that it was my house and she looked surprised. We were waiting in the car when Jessica came to me. She told us to come in and we agreed. We walked together to the hall inside my house.
