I woke up with dark circles under my eyes. Today I had to give Suzy and Joy a tour so I was scared that I would bump into Ryan in the hallways. Well fortunately, the senior guys had to take the somophores for a hike so it was not that big of a deal. I was definitely getting stares in the hallways but I thought it was better than bumping into you know who. We were almost done packing when somebody knocked on the door. Now you must be thinking what we were packing for. The university took freshman's out for a three night stay as a welcome party. We were very excited. There was a knock on the door so Natalie went to get the door. We were still packing, when we saw Natalie coming back from the door with a big bouquet filled with roses in her hands. She handed it to me with a big smile on her face. There was a card attached to the plastic that was holding the roses together. Well, it was Ryan. He had asked one of my seniors to hand it to me while he was away. My roommates were happier than me. They were grinning ear to ear. I was a little embarrassed but then fortunately, Joy changed the topic by asking where we were going for the trip. It was supposed to be a secret between the teachers but news travelled faster than lighting in Bailey High. We were going to Repino. Repino was famous for its beautiful beaches and humongous waterparks. We were still thinking about the trip when Natalie patted me on the back.

She started talking about what I was gonna tell Ryan. I told them I was not sure yet but was gonna think about it and answer him soon. I was the hot topic in the school at that moment. Everybody was talking about me. I didn't get any sleep like last night because I was still thinking about what I was gonna tell Ryan the next day. Waking up with dark circles under my eyes is not a bad idea but waking up with the flowers you are allergic to right next to you is definitely a very bad idea. I started sneezing and coughing at the sight of daisies beside my bed . I asked Natalie to throw the flowers out. When she was back I asked her who had sent it. I knew who had sent it but I just wanted to make sure. My guess was right. It was Ryan. I did not blame him because I was at fault too. I was not interested in dating in my freshman year and wanted to focus on my studies so I refused. His face looked so sad that I couldn't help but say " Hey Ryan, cool shirt. Let's be friends." I was embarrassed that I actually said that but he did not mind it. The next day we got up a little early because Repino was very far from the university. It was an eight hour journey. Although we were very excited, we did not want to stay for eight hours in the bus. We boarded the bus at almost seven in the morning. The university had hired buses so it was easier for us and we did not have to walk to the bus station. After all the seats were taken except for the seat for the senior, our teacher asked us which senior we wanted to be with us. Everybody knew that I would get uncomfortable if Ryan was with us. Nobody showed mercy and every single one of them asked for Ryan. It was a relief when the teacher said that Ryan was already taken but it seemed, luck was not my side. Ryan decided to switch buses and came to sit with us. It was not that awkward as I had imagined it to be. We were talking like nothing had happened and we were only friends. After we reached Repino after a long journey, we were asked to pair up. Natalie and I became partners and Joy paired up with Suzy. We had to share a tent and be partners for the games we were going to play. We were very tired after the long journey so we rested for some time. Then we headed to one of the most famous beaches in Repino. It was very fresh and beautiful there. We walked around the beaches of Repino for a while collecting seashells. I got to see the best sunset in my life. The sky was blended with orange and yellow that was slightly turning to a bright red. It was beautiful there but we couldn't fill our stomachs with sunlight so we headed to one of the nearest restaurants.

It was beautiful there. It was decorated with big leaves and the seasonal flowers. It looked something like the bars in Hawaii. It was the tourist season so the place was very crowded. We had some snacks and headed back to our tents. It was almost night so Mr.Samson got his barbeque table out and some of the seniors went to buy meat. It took some time to find meat because the city was known for its seafood. It was hard to find meat because the shops that sold meat were very far. After a long day, we all sat down near a big bonfire. We all sat with marshmallows on sticks and blankets to have some fun. It was just like a normal bonfire but what was a bonfire without ghost stories and spin the bottle. Some of the seniors wanted to play spin the bottle so we joined them too. It was so good.
