"good morning Mia" my mom says shaking me awake
"mmm mom go away"
"you need to get up for school"
"i don't want to go. i don't feel good"
"well i have to go to work and i can't watch you"
"you don't need to watch me"
"i need someone to make sure you're okay"
"call dani then"
"i'm sure your boyfriend has better things to do"
"well i'm not going to school so call dani"
"okay whatever i don't have any time for this"
she leaves my room and i go back to sleep

"baby wake up" a sweet voice says from next to me
i open my eyes and smile at the sight of my boyfriend Daniel
"mmm hi dani"
"hi baby your mom called and said you weren't feeling well"
"mhm i have the worst headache, stomachache, and my throat hurts."
"aww i'm sorry. don't worry i'm going to take care of you okay"
"okay dani"
"i'm going to go get you some medicine okay"
"nooo i don't want you to leave"
"i'm going to be right back. i just need to get you something to make you feel better"
"fine" i pout and he kisses me
after he kisses me he leaves the room and a few minutes later comes back with some medicine
he gives me them and i take all of it
"now let's just relax while we wait for the medicine to kick in. are you hungry?"
"no i just want some ginger ale"
"okay i'll order some right now. so while we wait for everything let's watch a movie okay"
"okay dani"

"so how do you feel?" daniel asks me
"much better but i'm getting hungry"
"okay well i had my mom make some soup before i came so i'm going to get that for you"
he leaves the bed and comes back with a bowl of soup
"you're going to hate me but i want to feed this to you"
"babe! i'm not a baby"
"no but you are my baby so just open up"
"this is so stupid" i say rolling my eyes as he brings puts soup on the spoon
he feeds the soup to me and it tastes so good
"wow dani this is so good"
"i know. my mom used to make it for me when i was sick and i used to feel better immediately"
"well then i want a million bowls of this" i say and he laughs
he finishes feeding me it and lays down with me
"how are you feeling"
"really good thank you Dani"
"of course i love taking care of you. now let's take a nap"
he wraps his arms around me and i put my head on his chest
i quickly fall asleep feeling so much better than i woke up

"so how is she" i hear my mom ask Daniel
"well we started napping a few hours ago and she hasn't woke up yet so i'm figuring the medicine is working"
"well that's good. thank you for taking such good care of my daughter. i really appreciate it"
"of course. i really love her"
"aww Daniel that's so cute. i know she loves you too"
"well that's great for me"
they both laugh and i open my eyes
"hi mom" i say quietly
"hi honey how do you feel"
"really good. but i'm still tired"
"okay well go back to sleep"
"only if daniel gets to stay"
"okay whatever"
Daniel gets back in the bed and i cuddle with him again
"i told you mom he wasn't too busy to take care of me"
