"Dick, I know you didn't do it." Bruce prefaced, sounding unsettlingly at peace. "But if you could just tell me which of the others did it, you won't be in any trouble."

Dick didn't know what to say, he didn't trust that he wouldn't be in trouble. "I don't know."

"Oh, come on, Dick." Bruce sighed, letting a little of his frustration show. "I know that you know who did it. What I can't figure out is why you won't tell me. Did Tim bribe you? Did Jason threaten you?"

Dick didn't know what to say, so he repeated himself again. "I don't know."

"Dick, I don't like to threaten my sons..." Dick knew what was coming. "But..." There it was. Bruce reached to the side of the dining room table and slid over a crisp piece of paper. "I reconstructed this digitally from the ashes I found in the fireplace." He held up the permission form just out of Dick's reach. "Now you could tell me who was on the batcomputer earlier, or...." He uncapped a pen and lowered it to the page.

"NO!" Dick shouted, standing up abruptly. He slapped a hand over his mouth.

Bruce eyed him. "Will you tell me who's responsible?"

Dick cracked his fingers a little to speak through them. "Dunno."

"Okay." Bruce elegantly signed his name at the bottom of the page and filled out the personal information. "Richard, I'm giving you one last chance before I bring your brothers down. Who did it."

"I can't tell you!" Dick blurted out. "-Because I don't know!"

"Okay then." Bruce sighed. "To make sure you don't destroy this one, I'll walk you into class on Monday to give it to your teacher."

The colour drained from Dick's face. "...Please don't."

The last thing Terry McGinnis was expecting was a visit from his little brother Damian. Cass, maybe, but why would Damian travel half way across the world to visit.

"What's wrong?" Where the first worlds out of his mouth when he saw Damian sitting on the window ledge outside his apartment window. See, Damian was something of a bad omen in the batfam: if he shows up at your house unannounced someone's probably dead. "Is it Bruce? Dick? Tim?"

Damian held up a finger and lowered the phone from his ear. "I need your help."

"Wow. Okay. What's uh-" He shrugged a little. "What's up?"

Damian glanced around. "Father is mad at the others."

"You came all the way here to tell me that? How's college going by the way?"

"It's worse than that. He's taken Richard down for a separate interview already."

"Code five? Geez! are they all alive?"

"So far." Damian muttered. "They can't even decide which one of them did it."

"Did what?" Terry asked. "And do you want to come in from the window ledge?"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tim and Jason were still huddled around the phone when Dick shouldered through the door. He looked like he'd just been nuked.

"Dick! You're alive!" Tim exclaimed. "What happened?"

Dick nodded a little, shell shocked.

"We've been on hold for a while." Jason muttered. "Ah- Dami... Terry? What are you? Great to hear from you, but.... yeah you can talk to 'em." Jason passed the phone to his little brother. "For you."
