Chapter 30

"Ri-chan!"

Aiyora sprang herself into the Shiki heir and engulfed him into a tight hug.

What followed afterwards of her action was a deafening silence. A silence so deep and heavy, that the sound of people around breathing sounded loud. It forced the half siblings— more specifically Senri to pull apart. Only then Aiyora noticed that everyone around stopped their task in hand and was looking at them... watching them... giving them the weird stare...

"What are you all watching? No show is go-" She was about to charge at them but got cut off when Senri intervened.

"I have to go Ai-chan, my manger is waiting."He said breaking free from her arms.

"She could—" wait. He was gone before she could even finish her sentence.

Standing behind a pillar from the floor above Ichijou watched the whole thing unfold. He could tell the changes around have finally started to get into the younger pureblood's nerves. It may have taken a bit of time but gradually it was becoming clear that the night class was different with her. Every single person was acting differently.

This sudden overly respectful and distant behaviour of her friends was pushing her towards the edge. Every time she approached her friends the ongoing conversation died down and was replaced with bow and silence. Even people from Kaname's circle were also treating her abnormally. But what made things worse was the cold shoulder she was getting from Shiki. Latter's attempt to keep a distance made Aiyora more desperate to seek out his attention. She was trying almost anything possible. Sadly the more she tried the more he tried to keep away from her.

Similarly, Kaname was doing his best to fill up the void Aiyora was feeling. According to Takuma, his friend actually deserved an applaud for his hard work. But there was one problem— like him Aiyora was no loner. Takuma was the only friend Kaname has; whereas Aiyora has been a social butterfly and has circles of her own besides mingling with Kaname's crowd. She has her girl gang, gossiping and bitching circle, fashion police crowd etc. So it is practically impossible for Kaname to make up for all these people.

Overall, the mess Kaname has created seemed to be getting more complex with each passing day. How she will react once figuring out the truth is the actual question. Chances are it will permanently damage her relationship with Kaname.

To say that she was upset would be a massively understatement. Truth is, behind that smiling face she was furious, absolutely livid, to the point where a part of her wanted swallow the Shiki heir alive. How dare he include another person into their age long tradition!? ...How could he!

The morning of first Wednesday of every month is movie time for the half siblings. This tradition started all the way back at the Shiki residence, when they were still children. Senri was usually okay with any movies, but Aiyora made it mandatory that they would only watch his mother's movies.

But today her Ri-chan broke the tradition by inviting Rima, without consulting her first.

Despite the overwhelming emotion swirling her brain, Aiyora kept herself calm, and like any civilized person welcomed the two in and tried to act as civil as possible.

After some serious internal debate with her brain the younger Kuran came to a dreadful conclusion— something was not right! All member of the night class have been acting strangely. At first Aiyora thought it was just the night class but now Senri fell into that group as well. That is the only possible explanation as to why he brought Rima to their movie morning. And in order to find out what is going on she must act calm. Only then it will be possible to unravel the truth. Which was the main reason for her to keep the calm face for now.
