Recap:

Where will this lead us? There’s no way out.

I heard a loud thud coming from downstairs.

Jack positioned himself in front of my protectively and we waited as the sounds of footsteps were floating up the stairs.

The door flew open and I quickly grabbed onto Jack from behind.

“Get down on the floor! Now!” A man shouted and I quickly obeyed.

“On the floor!” Another man shouted at Jack.

Jack had the dangerous glint in his eyes as he stood strongly, ready to fight.

“Jack no!” I cried.

He fought.

He may have taken two or three of them down before they managed to pin him against the wall and they gave him what looked to be a sedative. I hope it was.

I felt the needle jab into my arm and drowsiness flooded through me…

………………………………............................................................................................

Slowly I became more aware, but I still was too tired to open my eyes.

I was waking up, and trying extremely hard to get my eyes to open, but they wouldn’t.

Jack. I thought in a panic.

How long have I been out for?

It felt like minutes, but I highly doubted it.

I’m so tired..

Fight Samantha!

I found my eye lids and started to open them slowly. It was very hard to, its like fighting death. I mean, I should know about death..

Once they were open, I had what felt to be sleep paralyses. I just laid there looking around, unable to move anything but my eyes.

I saw bars, and a toilet, and a sink.

I’m in a jail cell! I thought in sudden realization.

But where is Jack?

I could feel my arms now, and was able to move them again.

Though I couldn’t speak still or even move my toes.

About five minutes later (Because I was so bored and decided to count them.) I was sitting up disoriented.

“Jack?!” I shouted in a weird out-of-it voice.

A man, tall with a broad military build, stood in front of me surprised.

“You’re not what I expected,” He muttered.

“Where is Jack?” I demanded.

“He isn’t here. They moved him somewhere safer.. How old are you?”

He isn’t here? What? I felt a wave of panic when I realized I’m here alone.

The man jumped back three feet and stared at me in horror.

“You’re one of them? That’s impossible! You were born on earth!” The man shouted.

“Oh, it is very freakin possible.” I hissed, no longer in the mood for this.
