Chapter 18

*Tessa pov*

I stood worried in my old bedroom, it was modern now, and I had cleaned everything so it sparkles like new. I was in my old gold wedding dress I had saved all those years. My hair had been done by a young girl who resided at London. For the past 15 minutes I had been looking at myself in the mirror. I was not to cry tears of sadness today, so I remembered my happy memories with Jem. They rushed through my brain leaving a small smile on my face. My eyes were closed leaving the memories to overtake my imagination. Sometimes I would even laugh out loud. When I stopped seeing happy memories I forced my eye open letting the light pour in. I had gotten ready extremely early, just for this special reason. I took the small knife from my table, I let the change come over me. But nothing happened. Panic rose in my chest. How could I get will here if I could not change into him. I frantically scrambled around looking for something else. I found old clothes of Will that would not work, I searched my entire room for things of his. I was at my door to go to his room when I felt a cool feeling behind me. I slowly turned around, not letting my hopes get up.
"Will!" I yelled
Will and everyone else stood behind me beaming.
"You did not think I would let you get in my brain again?"
I frowned at him.
"How did you get here, All of you?"
"We have some unfinished business in this world."
"Except Will" Jessamine said. "He was finished when he has sex with you."
I looked at Will who was smirking.
"Jessamine it's her wedding day!" Charlotte scolded.
"LOOK AT THIS ODD LIGHTING" Henry yelled.
"electricity, Henry."
"By the angel, it's amazing!"
Charlotte smiled at him, with the same loving expression she always had.
"Oh Lottie can we please go visit my old lab?" Henry begged.
"We'll see."

I put my robe on with a hood so Jem could not see anything about me.
I rushed to my cell phone and dialed.
"WHAT IS THAT?!" Henry yelled again
"Shhh!" Everyone hissed at him.
"Jem," I said quietly.
"Tessa are you having cold feet."
"no!" I said quickly. "just come to my room as fast as you can."
I hung up so he could not ask questions.
"It's a cell phone Henry. I can call people instead of sending letters."
"amazing!" Henry did not yell this time.
A soft knock interrupted me and charlottes conversation. I had tried to hug them but she just shook her head sadly.
"Tessa?" Jems head poked into my room.
"It's ok. I just have a surprise"
He fully entered my room. The family has disappeared but I knew they would show again when I called them.
He came next to me and held my hand.
"Everyone-"
But they had already shown up.
Jem opened his mouth to say something but no words would come out.
"My family." he whispered. "I did not think I would see you again."
"Being the amazing man I am, I surely would have figured out a way to continue to annoy my 2 favorite people" Will smirked.
Jem laughed and ran to hug him. But it only lasted for a minute and Jem went right through Will. Will frowned sadly.
"We are not solid James." Charlotte explained.
"Why are you here?" He asked.
"Because Tessa called us of course."
Jessamine said like it was obvious.
"You did this?" he turned to me, I could see the raw joy in his eyes.
"Of course I did. We may have a new family but this will always be my true family and I would have no other people than them at my wedding."

"You mean, they can stay that long?"
"No," Henry said. I was surprised, he was not always the bringer of bad news.
"We can only stay for a short period of time now, then because we are not used to being in the mortal world, we will have to gain our strength back for the ceremony." Henry finished.

"As long as your here. I don't care." Jem said.
