Apologies to my lovely readers for the long silence. Been having a crazy time at work.

A few more chapters and I wrap it up.

Never have I felt that I could be all that you see
it’s like our hearts have intertwined into the perfect harmony

Paris was a dream.

Paris… was an experience.

River Seine was beautiful especially in the evenings when the sun would set spreading its golden rays across the water creating a beautiful mirage – like a beautiful painting. There was rich history and culture embedded in the walls of the beautiful buildings. It wasn’t really Paris if they did not take a boat ride up and back past the many bridges that adorned the river. Each bridge with a story to tell. It wasn’t really a city of love if they did not find a nice beautiful bistro or café and sat outside as they watched people over cozy little dinners and intimate moments. And, it wasn’t really a city of culture if they did not visit the wonderful museums and marveled at the artwork and sculptures while they wondered how the city managed to acquire such beautiful history or the mindset of the artists while they poured their hearts into their work. How did they manage to preserve it all?

For Jungkook the time here was like being in a world where only one person existed – Jimin. Whether it was the walks on the quaint narrow paved streets or the romantic dinners on the balconies of cute little restaurants. Whether it was visiting museums and historical sites, attending operas or just a night out with friends in Paris’ party district, it was enough. Enough to remind Jungkook of what they truly shared. That this was his once in a lifetime love and as scary as it was, he would brave it.

They had talked. It had taken a lot of courage, nerves and a few glasses of wine for Jungkook to bring it up because he didn’t know whether Jimin was aware of what was going on and he thought it would be best if Jimin heard it from him first. He was like a child going to tell on himself to his mother for eating a cookie before bed right after he had his brush. He did not know how to move forward because somewhere deep down he was hoping that Jimin had the answers. All the answers.

How would Jimin react? A scandal such as this would be devastating to him. Would he consider throwing it all away to save his career? Would he blame him if things turned ugly? Would he fight for their love? Was he capable for throwing caution to the wind all in the name of love?

Even as he sat on the other end of the couch with his legs crossed Indian style playing with his sweater paws, he couldn’t help but steal glances at his boyfriend while he told him of what had happened and the reason for his spontaneous trip to see him. Honestly, he did not know what to expect. All he knew was that he wanted them both to figure out the way forward.

From the other end of the couch, Jimin couldn’t help but smile at how adorable Jungkook was when he was nervous. One would think just by looking at them that Jungkook was the strong headed one and most confident one of the two. That was far from the truth. Now, he was no shrinking Violet, it was just the Jimin effect. Jimin had a way of disarming him and breaking down his defenses driving him to a point of vulnerability. If he was a ruler, many an enemy would use Jimin as his weakness. He was just a different person with him and he wasn’t complaining.

“Oh?” Jungkook asked surprised when that was the response he got when he was done telling the story. The response fell short of his expectations considering the amount of time he had spent stressing about it. “Is ‘oh’ all you have got to say?” For a moment he thought that Jimin did not understand the gravity of the situation. He expected anger and tantrums. He expected fear.
