7 Months Later
"Happy birthday to you." We sang as Dante looked at the cake in amazement
"He made it to one year." Luca smiled kissing my temple
"No." I laughed as Dante took two fist fulls out of the cake and eating it as everyone laughed
"Mommy Daddy get in for a picture with the little devil." Kat laughed with her phone out as Luca picked him up getting frosting shoved into his beard

"He is finally down." I said coming down the stairs from his room
"He is crazy." Kat laughed sitting closer into Marco
"So much energy in a one year old. Just wait until he gets older. He will be the definition of terrible twos." Angelo laughed giving me a glass of wine as I cuddled into a clean shaven Luca
"Im not liking this no beard Luca." Momma laughed as I touched his face
"The frosting was to far in there. I guess a clean face will have to do for a while." He laughed as he looked at the pictures from today
"Im dreading the day for him to say more then twenty words." I sighed as everyone laughed
"The fact that his first and favorite word is fanculo. Means you two are in for a wild ride." Marco laughed
"Who taught my grandson fuck? Not even fuck in English but fuck in Italian?" Momma asked laughing
"I swear it was not me." Paul laughed as Kelly gave him a look to be quieter because their baby Lily
"This has Marco written all over it." Angelo laughed
"I think its a combination." I laughed looking at all the guys
"Bello lets go to bed. I know you are tired." He whispered in my ear as I nodded
"Everyone knows where their room is. We are going to bed because Dante is having a habit of waking up at 7:30 on the dot." Luca laughed as we stood up and walked to our bedroom

"I am so happy to be back in New York." I sighed taking me jewelry off
"I know you are. Im happy Dante was able to celebrate in his house." Luca came wrapping his arms around my waist
"I wish my family would have come." I sighed relaxing into him
"They never responded. I dont know why my mom wouldnt have. Its her grandsons first birthday. We went through a lot with him. We didnt even think he would have made it out of the hospital." I said with tears building up
"Shhh bello. The most important people were here and it was an over the top first birthday." He laughed when it was just family and nothing more
"I cant believe your dad bought him a gun. He is one." I laughed
"It will be kept in the safe with all the rest and he can have it when he is old enough to walk." He laughed
"He walks now." I laughed stepping away to change
"Dont you dare put clothes." He growled before picking me up and tossing me on the bed
"You better be quick. We both know our son will be waking up from all the sugar he had today." I laughed as he started to strip

"Mommmm." Dante said with a fist in his mouth as I carried him into our room
"Go get daddy." I said setting him down on my side of the bed as he crawled and grabbed Luca's nose
"Im up." He laughed before tickling him as the doorbell rang
"You deal with him. I will go get the door." I laughed leaving them alone

"Let me go get her." I heard Paul say to who ever was at the door
"Its your family." He whispered in Italian as I stepped into the foyer
"Hi Carrie." My mom said looking happy
"Hi mom." I smiled giving her a hug
"Sorry we missed yesterday but we came." She smiled when all I saw was everyone but JJ
"No JJ?" I asked
"No darling. Sorry she had work." Will said as I nodded
"Well breakfast should be finished lets all go eat." I said leading them to the dining room as everyone was already sitting down except for Luca and Dante
"Sandy. Its good to see you." Momma said walking over to give her a hug
"If you dont know this is Ben my brother and his wife Rachel and their daughter Becca." I smiled introducing them as everyone said hi
"Well now its a celebration." Luca said carrying Dante and passing him to me
"Fanculo!" He yelled seeing everyone
"What did he say?" My mom asked taking him from me
"Umm..." I started to say but Kat beat me to it
"Fuck." She laughed
"In Italian?" My mom asked as everyone nodded and laughed
"It was his first word." I said rubbling his back as he stuck is thumb in his mouth
"He is hungry. Let me take him." I laughed taking him and putting him in his high chair next to the head of the table as Luca and everyone sat down

"Lets go for a walk." My mom said coming up to me as I nodded leaving Luca and the guys with the kids
"Why didnt she come?" I asked once we were far enough away
"You know why." She sighed
"That was seven months ago." I said back knowing our family holds grudges
"She told me they are getting closer to finding something on you and Luca's family." She said as I gasped
"Like what there is nothing. Everything in our business is legit. We havent been running guns in months." I said slapping my hand over my mouth
"So you two are in illegal business?" She asked smirking
"No we arent mom. We went legit the day Dante was born. You have to get her to believe. They are going to tear my family apart if the go with what they think they have." I said freaking out
"I know Carrie. You are my youngest and I believe you. I know you and Luca wont do anything to hurt Dante. You need to come clean to JJ." She said as I laughed
"No. I cant. I sighed an NDA. I could be killed if I said anything." I said freaking out
"JJ did you get everything?" She asked
"Ya. I did. Thanks mom." She said coming out from the trees as my mom kissed my cheek and left us alone
