"No." Luca said walking into our home gym turning my music down
"No what?" I asked still keeping my running pace
"You are not going on the drop." He said standing in front of the treadmill
"Says who?" I asked rolling my eyes
"Me. I am your husband. I dont want you doing something so dangerous." He said slowing down my speed
"What the hell!" I yelled as I am now stopped and he is holding the key
"You heard me Carrie. You are not going and that is final." He demanded
"Your not seeing my son today then." I threatened before walking out and slamming the door going towards the kitchen
"Carrie get back here." He yelled following me
"No Luca. Go to work today. I dont need you at the hospital." I yelled in Italian
"Fuck you Carrie. How dare you threaten seeing my son." He yelled back in Italian before storming away
"What was that about?" My mom asked walking in after witnessing it
"Just Dante stuff." I said making coffee for us
"What about Dante?" She asked
"Im worried like always. I just want to take my son home and have him be a normal baby for once." I sighed making up a lie
"Soon Carrie girl soon." She said wrapping an arm around my shoulder
"Its hard just watching him in this bubble so innocent and small. I cant do anything about it either." I sniffled
"He is healthy now. Making big improvements from what I saw and heard from Gemma yesterday." She said taking the empty cups from my hands and guiding me to sit down
"Mom Im sorry for last night. Its just all this stress. I wish that wasnt how you found out about your house and car yesterday. I really didnt want you to know it was us." I sighed as she put a cup in front of me
"I knew it was you two the whole time. After you made the comment about the chandelier and it was paid off the next week gave it away." She laughed as JJ joined us
"When are we going to the hospital?" She asked getting a cup from mom
"As soon as I get ready. I hope you have stuff to do cause it gets boring sitting in there. I usually have Paul bring me paper work from the clubs to look over." I shrugged taking a sip
"I have some stuff to do." Mom said sitting down
"I brought some work too." JJ said before my phone rang
"Why is Luca at our house fuming?" Momma said when I answered
"I got pissed at him and told him he wasnt allowed to see our son today." I said in Italian walking away from them
"Dante is Luca's too." She said
"I know but he was acting like an asshole and I didnt want that around my son." I said closing my bedroom door
"What did he do?" She sighed knowing my reason was good
"Im going on the drop next week and he said no saying that he was pretty much the boss of me because he is my husband." I said continuing the conversation in Italian
"Thats the mafia for you. Carrie it is to dangerous but I see where you are coming from. You want to know what happens for when Dante takes over right?" She asked
"Yes I do. I know its dangerous but I need to know for me if I should protect him from this life or let him take over." I sighed
"I will talk to him. I went on a drop after Luca turned ten to find out for myself. Angelo wasnt happy but it made me feel better about Luca taking over." She said as there was slamming in her background noise
"Is that Carrie?" I heard Luca ask
"No. Paul. He didnt have any paperwork for Carrie to sign but needed her to come into Moxy today. An inspector is coming out and needs the owner there." She said as I got the hint
"Im the damn owner not Carrie." He huffed storming out
"Really Paul and an inspector?" I asked laughing
"Dont worry I will be there and Angelo will too. Get ready we will see you there in an hour." She said hanging up as I went back to tell JJ and my mom
"Hey so I have to go to my club today. We have an inspector coming out and I need to be there. Take my old car to the hospital and spend some time with Dante." I smiled giving them my old set of ranger rover keys
"When will you be there?" JJ asked
"Hopefully by noon. I try to get them in and out." I said going to get ready

"I know you are lying." JJ said walking into my bathroom as I showered
"Why are you in here?" I asked washing shampoo out
"Cause I know and I have you alone." She said
"JJ is this necessary. I am in the shower." I groaned
"Your argument was not about Dante this morning." She said as I peaked out and saw her sitting on my counter top
"Can you not sit on my expensive counter?" I asked rolling my eyes and going back to my hair
"What is this drop?" She asked
"Drop off alcohol. We do it frequently between the two clubs and because all I did was step out for air one time Luca gets paranoid." I lied smoothly
"Oh. Is that legal?" She asked
"Yes. Between your own businesses. We have a club being rented out for a night and they are big drinkers. Its like some attorney's celebration of the fiscal year. We close down Moxy for everyone to work at this one. Its one of our biggest nights." I semi lied knowing that we do have the big party
"Sorry. Just nevermind. Im sorry." She said still sitting on my counter
"Get off my counter JJ. It can put both boys through college." I laughed as she looked at me
"Why do you two spend money like this?" She asked as I wrapped a towel around
"Luca does. I dont. He grew up being rich and now that he took over for his dad he has the company bringing in a lot more and with my clubs I bring in a lot too. I dont like how he spends money." I said stepping out
"It took me forever to spend a hundred dollars without feeling guilty." I sighed looking at the counter
"Do you like being this wealthy compared to how we grew up?" She asked concerned
"I loved how we grew up. Being outside more and having open air but its not something I would want to go back to." I said as she nodded
"I get it. I would never want the boys to have to deal with what we had to deal with." JJ said as I nodded
"Luca never believed me when I told him I lied about my age to work in the bar just to help mom and dad make ends meet. That was on top of having to babysit the neighbor boys." I laughed remembering that conversation I had with him
"Do you regret falling off the face of the Earth?"  She asked and I nodded no
"I was naive but I was able to travel to exotic places and become who I wanted to be. I own my own business and I love Luca." I said as she looked at me confused
"I became who I really was. I like who I am now and not the girl from the small town." I smiled as she nodded
"She is a bitch you know." She laughed confusing me
"Your new you. Shes more confident and ruthless compared to the young Carrie I knew. Mom told me that your whole demeanor changed when tour club was destroyed. You were out for blood." She laughed as I walked into the closet to change
"Of course I was. That was my pride and joy before I found out about Dante. And I did have pregnancy hormones. I found out about being pregnant the week before." I laughed putting on some jeans
"How many tattoos do you have?" She asked
"A few. I got a new one behind my ear of Dantes initials with Luca." I shrugged looking for a shirt
"I will leave you alone. See you at the hospital." She said leaving me confused as I finished getting ready
