Chapter 4

"Ya I learned when we got engaged." I smiled at her flustered at mine and Mommas conversation
"That was Lucas mom. She isnt to fond of strangers." I said trying to understand why she decided to come here
"No how are you? No explanation as to why you went missing. Carrie what is going on. You have been gone from our lives for five years and now you are married to him." She said standing up as Luca took a defensive position
"Mom just stop." I said moving in front of him
"Do you have any kids I should know about?" She asked
"No. We have been thinking about it though." I said feeling comfort come from Luca wrapping his arm around my waist
"How did you meet? Start from the beginning." She said as I nodded and we both sat across from her

Five Years Ago
"Come on. Its a new club my brother is opening up. I got a VIP table." My roommate Kathrine begged
"Im here for school and school only." I laughed as she dug around her closet
"Here. Wear this." She said giving me a short tight black dress
"We cant even get in. We are under age." I said as she now gave me a pair of black heals
"Its my brothers club. We can get in and be able to drink." She said as I finally agreed and got dressed

"This line is long." I said getting out of the Uber
"Thats for everyone else. We get to go right in." She said as we walked up to the front of the line
"Miss Derosa. Miss Jareau." The big guy said letting us in
"Wow your brother owns this?" I asked seeing the extravagant club
"Yes. He is single by the way if you wanted to know." She laughed as I rolled my eyes and followed her to a table in the back that had a security guard
"This is us. Thanks Paul." Kathrine said as we sat down and a drink was placed in front of each of us
An hour later and we were buzzed dancing together on the dance floor with everyone else.
"My brother is checking you out." She said pointing over to our table as a handsome man stood there locking eyes on me
"Im not looking for anything. I had a messy break up and he is still following me." I yelled back over the music
"You need a man that was a boy." She laughed as we went back over to the table
"Kat." He brother said giving her a hug
"Luca this is my roommate and best friend Carrie. Carrie this is my brother Luca." She said as we went to shake hands
"Così bello." (So beautiful) He said in a beautiful language as he brought my hand to his lips
"Come lets drink." He said as we sat around and drinks were being poured

"Hey I will be right back." I slurred going to the bathroom as everyone nodded
"Someone is in here." I said fixing my lipstick as someone kept banging on the door
"Alright its yours." I said walking out running into a body
"Austin?" I asked seeing my ex as he pushed me back into the bathroom
"Hey missed me?" He asked pinning me against the wall
"No stop following me. Help!" I yelled know it was useless
"You dressed up for me. You never wore this back at home." He said sliding my dress up
"Help!" I yelled again before he out his hand over my mouth
The door broke open and Luca was standing there fuming
"Get your hands off her." He demanded scaring me by the tone of his voice as Austin let go of me causing me to fall to the ground
"Get him out of here." He said to the two guys who were with him
"Bello. Im here." He said picking up my chin to look at his deep brown eyes
"I want to go home." I said in a whisper as he nodded and picked me up bridal style
"Kat lets go." He yelled walking by her and out a back door and into a car
"This isnt a good idea." She said as I slowly fell asleep

"Shit. Austin." I said sitting up fast trying to catch my breath before noticing I was in an unfamiliar room
"Shhh Carrie its ok." A deep voice tried calming me down
"Who are you?" I asked backing away
"Luca Kat's brother." He said sitting on the side of the bed
"When I said I wanted to go home I meant to my dorm in my bed." I said getting out of bed not in what I wore last night
"Where is my dress?" I asked panicking
"Why am I in this?" I said addressing the NYU shirt that is not mine
"Kat changed you. And the shirt is mine. You were too drunk to go back to the dorm so I took you two here. My mom is making breakfast and I will take you back after wards." He said giving me a pair of leggings that had to be Kats
"Who was that guy?" Kat asked as I sat next to her
"My ex." I said taking a sip of coffee as she ohhed
"Momma my roommate Carrie." Kat said introducing me to her mom
"Nice to meet you. Luca was right you are beautiful." She said smiling at me

"So you two met at a bar?" My mom questioned walking around picking up a double picture frame from our weddings
"Two weddings? And you didnt invite your family to either one." She said disappointed
"Mom just sit and I will finish everything about us and our relationship." I sighed as Luca got comfortable and she sat back down

One Month After Meeting
"Tell your brother to leave me alone." I said putting another vase of flowers on my desk
"Just go on one date with him. Ive never seen him so crazy about a girl before. In fact I dont even remember the last time he had a girlfriend." She said as I contemplated calling the number on the phone
"Dont call go to the club." She said encouraging me and I listened

"Stop sending me flowers." I said seeing him sitting at the table we met at with paper work on the table
"Bello." He said smiling and seeing me
"I mean it Luca. I had one bad relationship." I said as he stood up
"Bello I promise to treat you well. Im not like him give me a chance please." He said begging
"What does bello mean?" I asked
"Beautiful. You are Carrie Jareau are the most beautiful women I have ever met. Please give me this chance." He said lifting my chin up to look at him

Four Months After Meeting
"Babe stop." I said laughing as Luca tickled me
"Say you will." He said not stopping
"Fine fine. I will drop out and help you run the club." I said finally making him stop
"Move in with me." He said taking me really by surprise
"What?" I asked
"Well you arent going to be in school anymore so you wont have a dorm. You spend half of your time here anyway." He said laying down next to me
"Fine." I said turning over to look at him
"Marry me?" He asked as I laughed
"We just started dating." I laughed
"Fine I will ask you again in four months." He said as I rolled my eyes
"I cant believe I let you restart my life again to get rid of Austin following me. Thank you." I said cuddling into him
"I would do anything for you bello." He said kissing my forehead
