What if Emily and Aaron got together after her fight with Doyle when she went undercover for her protection? After Emily gets hurt by Doyle, Aaron, and JJ, make the decision to fake her death until he is caught and locked up so Emily can come back home. Between those seven months of staying cooped up in her apartment in Paris, Aaron visited her from time to time with Jack coming along with him. Jack and Emily got used to each other because she used to look after him if Aaron was stuck in the office or if Jack was sick and needed help. Aaron kept her up to date with how everyone was if they had caught Ian Doyle yet. Aaron got a call from Derek saying he caught Ian Doyle and that he had been working on the case for the past seven months. Emily got a call from her friends saying that Declan got sick from school and got a call from him. Aaron called JJ to gather the team up because it was time to tell them the truth about Emily. The team found out that Emily was alive and wasn't fully forgiven Emily, Aaron, and JJ for keeping it from them, but they said it was to protect Emily. During those months, Emily and Aaron connected more than they thought they would and agreed to keep their relationship a secret from their team and Strauss. What if Emily and Aaron got together instead of Beth and Aaron in Season 7? Aaron and Emily got closer after he helped capture Doyle again and it was safer for her to return home. Emily stayed with her team and felt maybe she could be back with her own team again, they both knew that since she got back, she couldn't grasp her old life back. When The Replicator came to New York and killed Strauss, Emily offered her help and it caused the team to figure out that Emily and Hotch were in a pretty serious relationship with each other. They all had mixed feelings about it, but didn't have it jeopardize their focus on catching the person who killed someone on their team. After that, they continue their lives after everything happened to see how much further they could keep their relationship from falling apart. More cases to be solved and possibly a new member joining the BAU family that Aaron and Emily can't believe.
