A dream in black,
The purest black,
The deepest black,
A black untainted by light.
Alone in darkness,
The monsters call out my name
In deathly tones.
I need deliverance!
I feel the paranoia setting in.
I seek a light,
A tiny light,
A light no longer there.
The masters of deceit
Take on forms familiar to me,
And when I reach for them
They turn into the ugly things
I fear.
I try to run away,
To a safer place
A refuge,
My home.
But it's an inescaple cycle.
The eternal
Nightmare
Dream.
