My Ghost

196 4 0

I look deep into

The mirror

My reflection has  changed

All I can see

Is his bloodied face

In the quiet of the night

I hear him

Whispering into my ear

His cold breath on my neck

He visits me

Every night

In my dreams

He is the ghost

That haunts me

He is the Love I lost

Returned from the grave

Still longing

For my soul

His once tender hands

Have turned to bone

And wrap around my neck

The tendrils of Death

Race through my veins

Turning them to ice

Maybe tonight

I will join him again

My heart beats slower

The blood within my veins

Refuse to move

I draw my last breath

And whisper the words

Take me with you

And all is quiet again...
