THE ONE TIME I REALIZED IT WAS LOVE
Lately I've been someone and it ain't myself
I'm spending all my time on somebody else
I'm feelin' all these feelings I don't understand

Star's pov
"You should dry your hair okay? I'll get the new duvet for the bed so we can sleep" I say with a yawn as I pull on my night wear
"Okay" she says before going into the closet while I go to wardrobe to get out another duvet which I lay on the bed
"Star?" I hear just as I sit on the bed and see Logan stood by the closet door, looking all cute in her pajama shorts
"Yeah?"
"Do you want to dance with me?" She asks and a small smile pulls at my lips despite my confusion
"Now?" I ask as she approaches me
"Yeah. Now" she says, putting out her hand and how could I possibly refuse?
"Okay. I'd love to dance with you" I say, putting my hand in hers and allowing her pull me to my feet "Without music?" I ask as she holds me close
"It'll play" she says and truly, the lights dim and Prince's nothing compares to you starts playing
"Did you plan this?" I ask with a chuckle as I place my hands on her shoulders and let her sway us gently
"Pressed a button" she mumbles "We'd have danced without, otherwise" she says and I can only smile as I let my head lay against her, still sleepy but willing to stay up a little longer for her
"I wouldn't mind if it's with you" I say
"Me too" she says, her arms tightening a little around me as she kept us swaying to the song
"Do you listen to Prince?" I ask
"Just a little bit. I know like 3 songs" she says and I nod
"I only know this one" I say and she chuckles
"I know" she says, leaning her head on top mine
"Are you tired?" I ask, rubbing her back gently
"A little" she says
"Me too"
"I know. Thanks for dancing with me even though you were going to sleep" she says and I can't help the small laugh that leaves my lips
"You're very polite when you're tired" I say
"I'm polite every time" she argues
"Hm, mixed in with sarcasm and extreme bluntness" I say and her hand trail down before she smacks my ass
"I'm only polite" she says and I laugh
"Yes ma'am" I say and that's that. We're quiet for the rest of the dance, just enjoying being in each other's embrace as we sway gently to the song.
The fact that we're both tired but we'd rather do this than just go to sleep makes it even better and I can't help but love this little moments.
My eyes shut just as the song changes to John K's Parachute and a smile pulls at my lips.
I remember when we first heard this song in the car and both fell in love with it, making it a routine to include in our car karaoke sessions.
"Star?" I hear Logan call
"Hm?" I answer and she says nothing for a bit so I assume she's just confirming whether I'm still awake.
I'm surprised I'm actually not dozing off.
"I love you" I hear after a while and almost immediately, my eyes snap open
